God is infinitely greater than we are; therefore, we should not expect to be able to fully understand Him. The Bible teaches that the Father is God, that Jesus is God, and that the Holy Spirit is God. The Bible also teaches that there is only one God. Though we can understand some facts about the relationship of the different Persons of the Trinity to one another, ultimately, it is incomprehensible to the human mind. However, this does not mean the Trinity is not true or that it is not based on the teachings of the Bible. The Trinity is one God existing in three Persons. Understand that this is not in any way suggesting three Gods. Keep in mind when studying this subject that the word “Trinity” is not found in Scripture. This is a term that is used to attempt to describe the triune God-three coexistent, co-eternal Persons who are God. Of real importance is that the concept represented by the word “Trinity” does exist in Scripture. The following is what God’s Word says about the Trinity: 1) There is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Corinthians 8:4; Galatians 3:20; 1 Timothy 2:5). 2) The Trinity consists of three Persons (Genesis 1:1, 26; 3:22; 11:7; Isaiah 6:8, 48:16, 61:1; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14). In Genesis 1:1, the Hebrew plural noun "Elohim" is used. In Genesis 1:26, 3:22, 11:7 and Isaiah 6:8, the plural pronoun for “us” is used. The word "Elohim" and the pronoun “us” are plural forms, definitely referring in the Hebrew language to more than two. While this is not an explicit argument for the Trinity, it does denote the aspect of plurality in God. The Hebrew word for "God," "Elohim," definitely allows for the Trinity. In Isaiah 48:16 and 61:1, the Son is speaking while making reference to the Father and the Holy Spirit. Compare Isaiah 61:1 to Luke 4:14-19 to see that it is the Son speaking. Matthew 3:16-17 describes the event of Jesus’ baptism. Seen in this passage is God the Holy Spirit descending on God the Son while God the Father proclaims His pleasure in the Son. Matthew 28:19 and 2 Corinthians 13:14 are other examples of passages that present three distinct Persons in the Trinity. 3) The members of the Trinity are distinguished one from another in various passages. In the Old Testament, “LORD” is distinguished from “Lord” (Genesis 19:24; Hosea 1:4). The LORD has a Son (Psalm 2:7, 12; Proverbs 30:2-4). The Spirit is distinguished from the “LORD” (Numbers 27:18) and from “God” (Psalm 51:10-12). God the Son is distinguished from God the Father (Psalm 45:6-7; Hebrews 1:8-9). In the New Testament, Jesus speaks to the Father about sending a Helper, the Holy Spirit (John 14:16-17). This shows that Jesus did not consider Himself to be the Father or the Holy Spirit. Consider also the other instances when Jesus speaks to the Father. Was He speaking to Himself? No. He spoke to another Person in the Trinity-the Father. 4) Each member of the Trinity is God. The Father is God (John 6:27; Romans 1:7; 1 Peter 1:2). The Son is God (John 1:1, 14; Romans 9:5; Colossians 2:9; Hebrews 1:8; 1 John 5:20). The Holy Spirit is God (Acts 5:3-4; 1 Corinthians 3:16). 5) There is subordination within the Trinity. Scripture shows that the Holy Spirit is subordinate to the Father and the Son, and the Son is subordinate to the Father. This is an internal relationship and does not deny the deity of any Person of the Trinity. This is simply something our finite minds cannot understand concerning the infinite God. Concerning the Son see Luke 22:42, John 5:36, John 20:21, and 1 John 4:14. Concerning the Holy Spirit see John 14:16, 14:26, 15:26, 16:7, and especially John 16:13-14. 6) The individual members of the Trinity have different tasks. The Father is the ultimate source or cause of the universe (1 Corinthians 8:6; Revelation 4:11); divine revelation (Revelation 1:1); salvation (John 3:16-17); and Jesus’ human works (John 5:17; 14:10). The Father initiates all of these things.
I'm sorry that you seem to be endorsing this confusion. It's unfortunate that because China McClain apparently didn't consult any scholarly commentaries or apologetics resources that she had a poor understanding of the Trinity from the beginning and now has turned to the heresy of modalism. She thinks that the Trinity means that each member of the Trinity is 1/3 God. That's wrong. The doctrine of the Trinity teaches that God exists in three persons who are co-equal in NATURE and BEING, and that each person is FULLY God. God the Father is NOT 1/3 God, God the Father is FULLY God. God the Son is FULLY God, and God the Holy Spirit is FULLY God. The Father is NOT the Son, and they are NOT the Holy Spirit. God the Son is also subject to the Father, and the Holy Spirit is subject to the Father and the Son. Here are some other problems: China McClain correctly observes that in John chapter 1 that Jesus is the Word, but it clearly says that "and the Word *was* God." The Word, which became flesh and lived among the first century Jews (verse 14), obviously means Jesus. So the full context of John 1:1 - 1:14 is that Jesus is God. Other verses make it clear that Jesus is God. In John 8:58, Jesus says, "...before Abraham was, I am." The Jewish leaders understood this to be blasphemy and they picked up stones to throw at him. Jesus claimed to be "I Am," which means Jesus was claiming to be God. When God revealed himself to Moses in the burning bush, God said, "This is what you are say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.'" Jesus identified himself with the Great I AM who revealed himself to Moses. If that's not clear enough, in Titus 2:13 the Apostle Paul wrote that Jesus was "our Great God and savior, Christ Jesus." In Revelation, Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last (Revelation 1:8, 1:17; 2:8), which harkens to Isaiah 44:6: "I am the first and I am the last, and apart from me there is no God." So what McClain did was cherry-pick verses that fit her narrative and ignored the many verses that didn't fit her narrative. She failed to do proper research, and ended up endorsing a heresy condemned by the early church.
READ MY COMMENT ON THIS POST PLEASE, THIS POST SHOULD DEFINITELY BE TAKEN DOWN BEFORE YOU LEAD GOD'S PEOPLE ASTRAY!!! REMEMBER WE ARE LIVING IN THE LAST DAY'S AND SATAN IS AT WORK TO KILL, STEAL AND DESTROY GOD'S PEOPLE
And that is why we should always read and study his word ourselves!!! you are on the right path... your words are so correct, and i have always told people the same thing, you don't have to believe me, JUST ASK GOD!! An trust an believe if you truly want to know in your heart who GOD IS JUST ASK HIM!!! THANK YOU MS CHINA, GOD BLESS YOU
YES YES YES. I agree 100. I used to always be a trinity believer but a few years ago, after studying the trinity and seeing what the word actually says, I came to the same frame of mind as this young lady did. They are not all One. I get a lot of push-back from hard core trinity believers but if you stop, open your mind to the possibility that there just might be another view that actually scripturally makes much more sense, and most importantly, be willing to step out of the mold that you’ve only ever known bc that’s always what’s been told us, we can find truth that will be revealed to us through God’s word. And once you hear real truth, you cannot un-hear it. I kind of look at it like my father is human, as I am human. In that, we are the same. But we are complete separate beings from one another having distinct identity roles. This young lady presented this argument perfectly!
The Bible teaches that the Father is God, that Jesus is God, and that the Holy Spirit is God. It also teaches that there is only one God. Although we can understand some facts about the relationship of the different persons of the Trinity to each other, in the long run, it is incomprehensible to the human mind. However, this does not mean that the Trinity is not true or is not based on the teachings of the Bible.
@Alpha.O.TThat is not what Jesus said in the scripture. In the scripture Jesus said there is one that is mightier than me, his father in heaven. He did not say he is the father, he did not say he is equal to the father. He said that the father is mightier than him and man should not glorify him but glorify his father. That is exactly what Jesus said in the scripture. He did not say what you are trying to make it seem like he said. Jesus told us in the Bible, that man is not to pray to him but to pray to the Father in Heaven. At the end of the prayer we say in Jesus name because Jesus is the mediator between man and Jehovah. Therefore anybody that believes in Jesus should obey his words in Bible.💯
@@craiganbrooks1485 Jesus also said " I and the father are one" he also said "I am the way the truth and the life" if only God can judge but Jesus will come back to judge ALL the nations... what does that tell Yu ? " "In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word WAS god" fast forward to Jesus being " the word in the flesh" everything old and new testament points to the Trinity. It is man that have no spiritual insight who can't see it. It's a gift for God to lift the veil & Show us who he truly is. So continue to pray & ask him to do it for you, Always in Jesus name Pray for spiritual wisdom and for clarity always in Jesus name he'll show Yu, just like he showed me.
The best analogy to explain the Trinity from my standpoint. I’m a mother, who is also a daughter and a sister. Each role operates differently but I am still all THREE. I hope this helps and God bless everyone!
“Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form,” Philippians 2:6-7
One MAN can be a Father, a Husband, a Son, a Brother, a worker, a Boss, a mentor, a role model, etc. One FLESHY mortal man can manifest multiple roles, titles and positions! So imagine what GOD can do!
@@ThePreacherman9It’s an awesome analogy. There are many things that have multiple forms but all forms are equal. Water is one example. As far as God goes, God can have as many manifestations as he wants. It’s called TRANSMUTATION. How many manifestations does God do in the Old Testament? Also, Jesus said he was returning to the Father and not to worry because he was sending the Holy Spirit (The Comforter, The Advocate). Jesus speaks as if the Holy Spirit is a totally different persona than the Father and Himself.
You have just given me confirmation on what has confused me for many years. I never felt in my spirit that GOD, The Holy Spirt, and Jesus Christ being one. When I pray, I pray to all three, not one. Then when I hear about the trinity, the confusion starts to step in. Thank you for this beautiful content you have shared. It makes me feel so much better knowing that I'm not the only one that has this understanding. GODSPEED! AMEN!
your very confused. Jesus said " no one comes to the father but by me". if you don't go through jesus, you are not heard. read 1 Timothy 2:5-6 and john 14:6. this girl is a crackpot.
@@GarageStudio7John 10: 30-33 30 I and my Father are one. 31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. 32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? 33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. Your using the same argument the Jews used when they decided to try and stone Jesus. Solomon in his Godly wisdom was correct there is indeed nothing new under the sun.
@@GarageStudio71 Timothy 1:4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
The Trinity is definitely a debatable topic. It's confusing and "God is not the author of confusion." All I will say is this: if it's not a heaven or hell salvation issue, it's not worth arguing over. If we believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead then any doctrinal issues are not worth arguing about. Just my opinion...
Except that a Trinity is a stumbling block because it's not what Jesus and the Apostles taught, it's not the truth, and is illogical. Not the foundation you want to offer a potential, or new, Believer.
I think some people who follow the trinity doctrine do say it is a salvation issue, I'm not a trinitarian in as much as I agree with sister Chyna that the Father is the authority and also by making the 3 co-equal you are in danger of turning the one God into 3, therefore making Him a pluralistic Pagan God. Some even go so far as to feminise the Holy Spirit. Very dangerous I believe. ❤️🙌🏾🙏🏾
"Any doctrinal issues are not worth arguing about" , maybe not worth arguing about but at least worth listening to what other believers have to say, and after that humbling ourselves before God and asking Him for truth! Because there are too many heaven or hell salvation issues out there (otherwise the Bible wouldn't warn us of false prophets, doctrines of demons, ppl preaching another Christ and another Gospel etc. and tell us that heresies are a fruit of the flesh) still after you came to believe in Christ, just like OSAS or the lie that your faith hasn't to be shown by/through your works. The enemy and his lies and deceits are still out there even in a believer's life. So , let us 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 1 Peter 5:8 and always ask God and not lean unto our own or any other man's understanding!!
I am having this conversation w my old aunts right now. Explaining that current doctrines of the church are mostly one school of thought from the 1800s from Darby. His views became the primary school of thought for the protestant church and continues today. I always had an issue w explaining the trinity. It didn't make sense to me. Thanks for sharing!
Great teaching! The Trinity can be confusing … we’re all trying to understand the mystery of God. He is so amazing! When we have these conversations and break it down with scripture, it brings forth discernment. Like China said, we have to build our own relationship with God and take everything to Him for clarity and He will help us sort it all out🙏 Shalom❤️
Jesus TEMPORARILY gave up some things when He came I the flesh to die for us. And, that includes acknowledging the Father as greater while he was here in the flesh. #humility Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.” Philippians 2:6-8
You said Jesus was the word, correct? John 1:1 says In the beginning was the WORD and the WORD was with God and the WORD was "God". That is in your book also
The Word came down to earth as Jesus Christ. That means that Jesus Christ was also in the beginning as well. God bless you for your continuous to understand the truth ❤
Deuteronomy 21:23 “His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.”
One time I had this discussion with someone and they were very sure that the Holy Trinity was not true. That very night in a dream, the Holy Spirit told me to share this verse with that man. 1 John 5:7 [7]For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
*THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE IS THE PROBLEM* as it often is in these situations. We all agree that Albert Einstein is greater [better] than his father, and we all agree that his father was greater [in higher position of the family/authority] than his son Albert. It's really that simple folks.
When Jesus was baptized, and God said: "This is my Son in whom I am well pleased. " Jesus tells the people that the Father will give you the gift of the Holy Spirit. In , God said ; let us make man in our image. Elohim is plural...l pray that the eyes of her understanding will be illuminated in the name of Jesus. Amen
Jesus was FULLY human and FULLY GOD. When he came to earth. Some of the statements he made was coming from the FULLY HUMAN being. And can seem to contradict, but doesnt because there are no contradictions in the bible, or errors. Thank you so much for this video😊😊😊
Jesus is physical manifestation of Elohim Yahweh in flesh, the extension of Elohim in flesh, i like that your expression " the extension of God " He is God Elohim personified
17 The one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him. PROVERBS 18:17 The doctrine of the trinity is what best explains what the bible forces the reader to reconcile with, when learning and understanding God's triune nature as you read the passages. The bible clearly demonstrates & shows 3 distinct persons operating simultaneously via the old testament and new testament. 6:39 When she quotes Ephesians 4:30 She attempts to justify her belief that "The Holy Spirit" is mentioned as "The Holy Spirit of God" and not "God the Holy Spirit" supposedly debunking in what she believes, that the Holy Spirit is "not" God and not distinct from the Father, forgetting to mention the emphasise that the Holy Spirit can express "grief" and can "grieve", which demonstrates the traits of a person or being, and someone who is cognisant and personal, and in this passage is showing the Holy Spirit being distinct from the Father. She also demonstrates with her beliefs, that Jesus is not God, and is in essence a created being, and in her view, the Holy Spirit and Jesus "The Word" are only direct extensions of God the Father & not God in 3 distinct persons. The problem here, is that the bible does not teach that, at all. Even just on a logical level, a created being or an extension of God cannot pay for the sins of the world, it's much too great. We can say as humans "We're all an extension or a creation of God" but that doesn't make us God, and we can never be God or become one, because God has no beginning and can't have a beginning, or else he wouldn't be God. And we can never do anything ourselves, or achieve any sort of works that will be ever worthy to remove our own sins, it has to be God himself in the flesh who can pay for something of that magnitude. He has to be eternal. This is the point of the Gospel and what it means. Jesus is the good news & God in the flesh! I pray that she comes to better understand, who God really is. The Holy Spirit is described in the bible to be a person and is a distinct person from God the Son "Jesus" and God the Father. Here's "some" passages to give evidence of God's triune nature in the old and new testament. Side note * You can't just read the bible expecting to understand it at surface level, I encourage you to not only read it, but pray & ask God to help you understand it, and actually study it & meditate on it, to truly get to know who our triune God, is. If you want to find God, and his truth, he says... 13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. JEREMIAH 29:13 and Jesus said this... 10 Then the disciples came and said to him, Why do you speak to them in parables? 11 And he answered them, To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. 12 For to the one who has, more will be given, and he will have an abundance, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. 13 This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. 14 Indeed, in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says: You will indeed hear but never understand, and you will indeed see but never perceive. 15 For this people's heart has grown dull, and with their ears they can barely hear, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament. 16 Draw near to me, hear this: from the beginning I have not spoken in secret, from the time it came to be I have been there. And now the Lord God has sent me, and his Spirit. ISAIAH 48:16 (Jesus is speaking here, explaining God the Father has sent him & his Spirit) #Distinction 7 I will recount the steadfast love of the Lord, the praises of the Lord, according to all that the Lord has granted us, and the great goodness to the house of Israel that he has granted them according to his compassion, according to the abundance of his steadfast love. 8 For he said, Surely they are my people, children who will not deal falsely. And he became their Savior. 9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them; in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old. 10 But they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit; therefore he turned to be their enemy, and himself fought against them. ISAIAH 63: 7 - 10 (the LORD = God the Father, ANGEL/REDEEMER = Jesus, & Holy Spirit) #Distinction New testament 16 And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him; 17 and behold, a voice from heaven said, This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased. MATTHEW 3:16 (Jesus is baptized and the Holy Spirit descends and rests on him, God the Father speaks from heaven to Jesus) #Distinction 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you. JOHN 14:16 (Jesus asking the Father to send the Holy Spirit who he refers to as "HIM") #Distinction #Person 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, MATTHEW 28:19 #Distinction 11 All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills. 1 CORINTHIANS 12:11 (Holy Spirit referred to as HE) #Distinction JESUS IS NOT GOD YOU SAY? 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. 30 I and the Father are one. JOHN 10:28 - 30 (Jesus says he gives eternal life? But wait, he's not God right?) 39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand. DEUTERONOMY 32:39 But didn't Jesus say before that no one can snatch out of "HIS" hand? Then watch this... 6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! 7 For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Today, if you hear his voice, PSALM 95: 6 - 7 Who's hand? God the Father, God the Son are one. Again, the bible forces you to reconcile God's triune nature. If you don't believe Jesus is God, you call him a liar and a blasphemer because again, the bible shows us he is God in the flesh. 6 Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god. ISAIAH 44:6 (Notice the language "I am the first and the last". Only God can say this) But then hear what Jesus says... 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. REVELATION 22:13 (Jesus himself calls himself the first and the last) Please people, if you truly believe in God, you have to understand that a creating and finite being cannot save us, God himself had to die in the flesh for us himself to show his love for us in able to destroy our sin on the cross. Don't fall into distorted teachings of what the bible doesn't teach, and pay attention to what God's WORD actually shows & teaches us. I'll leave you with this if you've made it this far. 6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. ISAIAH 9:6 (Jesus referred to as who? MIGHTY GOD) #Distinction #JesusIsGod 5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. PHILIIPPIANS 2:5-11 God the Father exalts Jesus to have the name above every name, but wait God doesn't share his glory? 8 I am the Lord; that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to carved idols. ISAIAH 42:8 Then God the Father calls Jesus God... 8 But of the Son he says, Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom. 9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions. HEBREWS 1:8-9 (The Father speaking of the Son, Jesus!) This is where you have to be honest with the text, and what God is forcing you to understand from scripture, and why the word "Trinity" is only an attempt to give a description to reconcile God's triune nature of what we see depicted in the bible of who God the Father, God the Son, and who God the Holy Spirit is. 3 distinct persons who are one > Trinity > Triune God. Jesus Christ is King! God bless you.
She needs to keep studying and stop calling Him "they". He is He. He is the I Am - the same thing Jesus blatantly calls Himself as well. God Himself reveals Himself in multiple persons in Genesis 1:1-2. "Elohim" is the plural of "God" so it technically reads "Gods created". Then we immediately see the "Spirit of God". That's all 3 represented in the first two verses of the Bible. She's simply not familiar enough with the OT and the original Hebrew. I know it can be super confusing but God Himself made it clear in His word so we can only take it as He told us.
Any confusion or misunderstandings about what the Bible teaches shoud be clarifed by one who has studied and/or received divine revelation from God. More importantly, find someone you can trust knowing they won't add to or take from what’s right in front of you in black, white, or red writing. One should also pray and ask Gog to reveal His meaning of scripture and not rely soley on our own interpretations.
Still trying to understand what she's driving as a point... More interesting is that you posted it... There's an old story {very popular in my country amongst Ministers of the Gospel} that's more of a cautionary tale... A Teacher of the word embarked on a journey to decipher or debunk the mystery of the Trinity. He spent a long time {probably years} and found out he was going in circles. The frustration led to him a very length prayer session, after which, he fell into a deep sleep where he had a vision. In the vision, he met a man by the sea shore whom he told about his plight hoping that he would be of some assistance. The man gave him a bucket and a spoon and instructed him to get the sea into the bucket. The teacher marveled at the weirdness (and the obvious impossibility asked of him) and voiced it out. The man then told him "That's exactly what you're trying to do" Take from this story what you will... There are some things that will never be fully explained to everybody. This is just how it is... 1st Cor 13:9
You are an inspiration to Christian youth everywhere and you know what you are talking about, especially with this sometimes confusing issue with non-believers who ask, how this is possible. Great job China, my daughter grew up watching you, and she has also been raised under a Christian home where she is isolated from the worlds evil ways, yet they tempt her with what they call fun and what “everyone does”. God bless you sister in Christ!
“Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form,” Philippians 2:6-7 “For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6 ““My Lord and my God!” Thomas exclaimed.” John 20:28
The problem also is we have a false perception of equality ..and it shows itself many places in our lives...My wife can submit herself to me and we still be equal ..as humans, image bearers, valued and our worth. we have a skued view on things which the bible doesn't have. If you're the leader, that is your role it doesn't make you better or more than the ppl you lead. we see the relationship of husband and wife represented in The Son and the Father. The Father is the head of the Son. Just like the Husband is head of the wife. It doesn't mean the wife is less than her husband. Or has less value. It just means his role is to be the leader of his wife. But she has as much worth and value as him. But her role is different. If we say Jesus isn't equal with the Father because he submitted himself to the Father, we then have to say wives aren't equal to husband because wives are called to submit to their head, their husbands.
@@JIG316This young lady has spoken the truth. Hamashiach is GOD in the sense that GOD never lies, thus HIS Word, Hamashiach (Christ) is wholly representative of HIM. However if GOD doesn't speak, HIS Word (Christ) doesn't know eg. Christ doesn't know the day nor hour of the day of the LORD, only GOD knows because HE hasn't spoken it for The Word to know. Who is the firstborn of all creation?
You have misunderstood. The Father is Greater than Him because he was made lower than the angels to take the form of man which is the lowest form of His Creation. The problem is God is Three Persons in one but it is a mystery, a mystery we can never understand just as we are Body, Jesus, Soul, the Father, the Breath of Life, The Holy Spirit. And Just as Christ Died so are we allowed to Die once but our Soul Lives, Just as Father Lives , on Using Trinity does not fully explain this but it can only explain in this because His words beyond out brains to understand.. But he is US as he said in Genisis and Through out the Bible.
Matthew 8:27 “But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!” A typical exmple proving that He is God when the disciples were with him they marvelled at the fact that winds obey His voice because HE CREATED THE WINDS. HE IS GOD.
We, humans, are considered a little lower than the angels not Jesus. Jesus is God. The Holy Spirit is God. The God head three in One. All God, extensions of Himself to carry out different tasks in the midst of the earth, but all a part of Him fulfilling His purpose and Will.
This young woman mind is twisted which is what the devil set out to do to EVERY individual who allows him JOHN 10:10... She tried to figure out and understand God and the scripture with a flesh mindset instead of letting God teach her with the POWER of the Holy spirit and spiritual guidance.
Very Solid and well put. You put your interpretation out there without trying to say you know everything like most I’ve seen that speak on this. The main thing I think is just stick to what it says. No where does the Bible speak of trinity or triune.
Acts 5:30 “The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.” and there are at least 6 more bible verses that reference this 💯
I would recommend listening to Sam Shamoun explain the trinity in depth on his channel. Elbe explains things in depth and corroborates and cross references the Bible for clarity. I hope it helps.
How are new Christians with no clear understanding of the Trinity doctrine attempting to teach theology? Truly, she is on her way to apostasy. However, the Bible explains the hierarchy among the members of the Trinity very clearly, it's always been part of the concept of the Trinity. And here is she talking as if she is rediscovering the Bible or reinventing the wheel. So how does this new believer with no adequate Bible study come out to "teach" the concept of the Trinity when the apostles themselves had to study and know the Word for so long? She is clearly clueless about the proper application of the theology of the Trinity. How pretentious of her.
I love this explanation. Many of us try to understand how three can be one. Amazing job!! It is written, in the beginning the word was God, the word was with God, and the word became flesh. ❤
First of all, you have the scripture backward. "In the beginning was the Word. And the Word was with God, and the Word WAS God. This scripture refutes her argument. Jesus is the Word. The scripture says that the Word WAS God! Also, you should read Phillipians 2:6. I am a theology major. What this young lady says is the doctrine of devils. She literally just said that there are 3 gods. Study your Bible people and stop having itching ears!! I am speaking the truth IN ❤
God Bless her and the Great works He has done in her and will continue to do ❤ she is gifted. If I could speak to her I’d say “Seek grasshopper, continually, and tell everyone you know what you’ve learned”
you're absolutely right, i didnt even realize there was a trinity doctrine that says all 3 are completely equal... the scriptures say plainly that Christ the Son submits to the Father, That He is the tippy top and all worship belongs to Him. Christ is our means of worshipping The Father.
This really isn't as hard as we make it... *Are women equal to men?* There in lies the answer. If Christ is God, then He is the perfect being. How can His perfection be less than the Father's? They are both equally perfect, because they are both equally God. Submission to the male by the female has no bearing on the ontology of the female. She is equally *"man",* whether she submits or not. Also the Father makes it clear throughout Scripture that the Son is worthy of worship. If this wasn't the case then Christ committed blasphemy by allowing His disciples to worship Him... Even doubting Thomas called Christ his God. And Christ never rebuked Him for it.
@@janepatton8100Not only that Jesus forgave sins.. only God can do that They’re literally 1 Mind Body and Soul is how we should look at this The body doesn’t do anything unless the mind tells it so it makes sense why Jesus obeys the father .. and we have the holy spirit which is our connection to God 😒
My guy, this has been addressed! I'm surprised this resurfaced, after it was buried by Sam Shamoun on John McCray's channel @WhaddoYouMeme - I highly recommend that video. I hear Preston Perry also did one.
Yes my sister you are absolutely 💯 right...the trinity doctrine is contradictory to the scriptures....God name is holy. Isa 57:15 so the spirit that lives within a holy God must be the holy spirit, 1 cor 2:9-12....Also Luke 11:13.said God will give us his spirit if we ask...so if holy spirit is another God, why do pray to one God to give us another God??none sense
I love this! The Only Begotten Son is a creation of The Father but was given all Authority over this world and since it is the only Begotten Son that created this world and us He is technically speaking, our God. However, He is not the Father but simply an extention of the Father like she says. Bravo! BRAVO!
She Did a good Job Of Explaining Her Point. But I find Many People Don't Get The Entire Context Of The Scripture Because They Take One Or Two Verses And Try to Make a point With that In stead Of Reading The Entire Reference You are Reffering To
Jesus was meaning because of the body he was in. He is not equal In the beginning was the word The word was God, the word was with God, and the word became flesh. We must remember God is Omnipresent.
Appreciate that your digging in the word I love it! but you got this one wrong but that’s ok. I think you are trying to rationalize it which is understandable but we will never fully understand the trinity in our finite mind. They are one in nature and essence but are different in personhood. I speak of this and many things on my TH-cam channel be blessed y’all
Brother Chops will you give me a minute on your show to talk about this tooic? I see alot of my fellow viewers are confused in these comments and I get it; this is a confusing topic. I definitely hear her, but John 1 also says "The Word WAS God...". Honestly, I don't actually see why this division would matter to be honest. What's the point of separating or conflating the Trinity? All 3 exists and have/are/will saving/guiding us so what are we causing division about? All 3 are IN us...
Excellent video and clear explanation using the Scriptures from sister China. Galatians 1:3-5 - 3. Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. 4. Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, ACCORDING TO THE WILL OF OUR GOD AND FATHER, to whom be glory, forever and ever, Amen.❤️🙌🏾🙏🏾 All of Paul's epistles start with him glorifying and addressing the Father as God and then the Lord Jesus Christ, clearly showing I believe, the Father's authority. Also no mention of the Holy Spirit in any these greetings, if He is a co-equal part of the 3, I would have thought He would be mentioned alongside the Father and Son in these greetings. I'm not saying that means anything for sure, it's just a thought. Regardless of which way you see and understand it, Love and blessings to you all and your families in Jesus name.❤️🙌🏾🙏🏾
I don't know where she got her information on the Trinity doctrine, but she's trying to debunk what she thinks/heard the Trinity doctrine is with what the Trinity doctrine actually means. I was raised in Trinity doctrine(still am), and never did I think God The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost was 1/3 of each other like how she was trying to debunk. Her train of thought is correct and biblical, in other words I think she's trying to debunk Oneness theology.
Just so you know, the early councils of the 4th century did not convene to “INVENT” doctrines. Rather, they happened because there were various gnostic heresies that were being spread around that were confusing people, and the church came to defend that which was ALWAYS BELIEVED by ALL CHRISTIANS, EVERYWHERE and AT ALL TIMES. That being said, what is being espoused in this video is an ancient heresy called Arianism: The belief that Jesus and the Holy Spirit are not equal with God, but are representations of God.
JOHN 14:8-11 John.14.8 Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and we will be satisfied." (NLT) John.14.9 Jesus replied, "Philip, don't you even yet know who I am, even after all the time I have been with you? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking to see him? (NLT) John.14.10 Don't you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I say are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me. (NLT) John.14.11 Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Or at least believe because of what you have seen me do. (NLT) We can go on and on and contradict or agree. Our knowledge is limited. Until you breath the understanding of the Bible through the help of the Holy Spirit, everything is grammar. Not everything is direct translation as written by the writers. They were inspired by the Holy Spirit and interpretation is personal and unique to d individual. I believe in the Trinity as in all 3 being God. I do agree however that the Father works through the son and his love for his son makes him pardons us when we ask in his son's name. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and was present with the son helping him overcome his walk while on earth.
My little thought. We need to be careful about throwing out the Trinity. I’d just like to say to both sides, we are arrogant in our human minds if we believe are capable of fully understanding the comprehensive being of Almighty God. Let’s focus on what we all can understand. Somehow God took on human flesh to become a man so He could lay down His life for ours, pay our sin debt and raise Himself up conquering sin and death one and for all for anyone who believes in Him. We can’t can’t comprehend that but we must believe it to be saved. Jesus is the Way, the truth, and the Life and no man comes to the Father but through Him. We need to be careful we are not looking for a way to reduce God to term we can comprehend thus being His equal in our own eyes in understanding Him. He is beyond finding out and we need to be okay with that on some things and let Him blow our minds with awe and wonder.
Deuteronomy 4:2 2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
I do encourage every Christian to take their worries and doubts to the Holy Spirit. It's not the analysis nor perfect high lighting of the scriptures that makes our theories right. We must be careful how much direct or indirect influence we put on others by our own understanding.
The trinity is not about hierarchy, it's about them all three being equally divine and God. The hierarchy is apparent while praying, through their titles and through what Jesus himself said.
I'm not sure about this video Jesus in that passage of (John 14:28) is speaking being in the representation or subordination of a man. The Bible also says in (Hebrews 2:7) that Jesus was made lower than the angels, because he was abased that being humbled he is now greatly exalted. What we are seeing this presenter do is read scripture through eisegesis but without context and sometimes to correct this approach you have to use the rule of first mention. Jesus is God, (Matthew 1:23) he is called Emmanuel which is interpreted from the Hebrew "God with us". Go back to the beginning (Genesis 1:26) "And God said let us make man in our image, after our likeness". The Hebrew word for God is Elohim, Elohim is a description of the plurality of God it is not singular descriptively. (John 14:9) "he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father ?". God bless, I understand why it's easy for the scriptures to be misinterpreted but that's why we are not instructed to just read the bible, the scripture says that we must study to show ourselves approved (2 Timothy 2:15). There's a broad difference between reading the Bible and studying the Bible.
Here's an illustration of the trinity. The triangle is 1 shape. It is made of 3 equal parts, which are the three separate lines that make the triangle. The separate lines don't make it any less a triangle, and the triangle doesn't change the fact that it is a line. They are seperate and together at the same time. God shows himself in 3 parts. As the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Together they are 1 God (triangle) even though you csn view and experience them separately ( the 3 lines). 1=3 and 3=1
The Bible clearly states God is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Here are the many verses that support this truth. 2 Corinthians 13:14 Ephesians 4:4-6 1 Peter 1:2 Revelation 1:4-6 1 Timothy 2:5 2 Peter 1:17 Titus 2:13 Acts 5:3-4 Luke 3:22 Matthew 28:19 John 10:30 John 17:20-21 1 Corinthians 10:17
Hallelujah, Praise The Trinity: (100%) God The Father, (100%) God The Son, (100%) God The Holy Spirit = 1 (100%)! God 🙌🏽. Chyna, I will give you the benefit of the doubt by stating you’re in error and not a heretic. God will reveal the truth. If Jesus, was an “extension” of God then we’re not saved. My Pastor is currently teaching and focusing on Jesus in Zechariah. Last year, he taught the entire book of Jesus in Leviticus. Chyna when we attempt to explain the Trinity and deviate from the doctrine. We’re wrong. Check out got questions, The Trinity.
Knowing Who Jesus is is critical for true salvation. He is one with the Father and Holy Spirit. Just as we do not see the word rapture in the Bible, we know that we will be caught up some day soon. It means the same thing. So trinity just expresses that there “three” father, son and Holy Spirit. So, while people try to explain the Trinity away, they keep mentioning Father, Son and Holy Spirit (three) but one God! “Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?” Peter replied, “You are the Messiah.”” Mark 8:29
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
”And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.“ John 1:14

The following is what God’s Word says about the Trinity:
1) There is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Corinthians 8:4; Galatians 3:20; 1 Timothy 2:5).

This young lady presented this argument perfectly!
go read it again. your deceived. if you don't believe in the trinity, then your saying that their are 3 gods. you just painted yourself into a corner.
The Bible teaches that the Father is God, that Jesus is God, and that the Holy Spirit is God. It also teaches that there is only one God.

Facts
So , let us

Great teaching! The Trinity can be confusing … we’re all trying to understand the mystery of God. He is so amazing! Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.”

You said Jesus was the word, correct? John 1:1 says In the beginning was the WORD and the WORD was with God and the WORD was "God". That is in your book also

Thank you for the wonderful teaching. You have given me a better understanding.
One time I had this discussion with someone and they were very sure that the Holy Trinity was not true. That very night in a dream, the Holy Spirit told me to share this verse with that man. 1 John 5:7

17 The one who states his case first seems right,
until the other comes and examines him. PROVERBS 18:17
The doctrine of the trinity is what best explains what the bible forces the reader to reconcile with, when learning and understanding God's triune nature as you read the passages.
The bible clearly demonstrates & shows 3 distinct persons
operating simultaneously via the old testament and new testament.
6:39 When she quotes Ephesians 4:30 She attempts to justify her belief that "The Holy Spirit" is mentioned as "The Holy Spirit of God" and not "God the Holy Spirit"
supposedly debunking in what she believes, that the Holy Spirit is "not" God and not distinct from the Father, forgetting to mention the emphasise that the Holy Spirit
can express "grief" and can "grieve", which demonstrates the traits of a person or being, and someone who is cognisant and personal, and in this passage is showing
the Holy Spirit being distinct from the Father.
She also demonstrates with her beliefs, that Jesus is not God, and is in essence a created being, and in her view, the Holy Spirit and Jesus "The Word"
are only direct extensions of God the Father & not God in 3 distinct persons.
The problem here, is that the bible does not teach that, at all. Even just on a logical
level, a created being or an extension of God cannot pay for the sins of the world, it's much too great.
We can say as humans "We're all an extension or a creation of God" but that doesn't make us God, and we can never
be God or become one, because God has no beginning and can't have a beginning, or else he wouldn't be God.
And we can never do anything ourselves, or achieve any sort of works that will be ever worthy to remove our own sins,
it has to be God himself in the flesh who can pay for something of that magnitude. He has to be eternal.
This is the point of the Gospel and what it means. Jesus is the good news & God in the flesh!
I pray that she comes to better understand, who God really is.
The Holy Spirit is described in the bible to be a person and is a distinct person
from God the Son "Jesus" and God the Father.
Here's "some" passages to give evidence of God's triune nature in the old and new testament.
Side note * You can't just read the bible expecting to understand it at surface level, I encourage you to not
only read it, but pray & ask God to help you understand it, and actually study it & meditate on it, to truly get to know who our
triune God, is. If you want to find God, and his truth,
he says...
13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
JEREMIAH 29:13
and Jesus said this...
14 Indeed, in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says:
You will indeed hear but never understand,
and you will indeed see but never perceive.
15 For this people's heart has grown dull,
and with their ears they can barely hear,
and their eyes they have closed,
lest they should see with their eyes
and hear with their ears
and understand with their heart
and turn, and I would heal them.
God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit
in the Old Testament.
16 Draw near to me, hear this:
from the beginning I have not spoken in secret,
from the time it came to be I have been there.
And now the Lord God has sent me, and his Spirit.

the praises of the Lord,

8 For he said, Surely they are my people,
children who will not deal falsely.
And he became their Savior.
9 In all their affliction he was afflicted,
and the angel of his presence saved them;
in his love and in his pity he redeemed them;
he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.
10 But they rebelled
and grieved his Holy Spirit;

Then watch this...

Today, if you hear his voice,
PSALM 95: 6 - 7
Who's hand? God the Father, God the Son are one. Again, the bible forces you to
reconcile God's triune nature.
If you don't believe Jesus is God, you call him a liar
and a blasphemer because again, the bible shows us he is God
in the flesh.
6 Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel
and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts:
I am the first and I am the last;
besides me there is no god.
ISAIAH 44:6 (Notice the language "I am the first and the last". Only God can say this)
But then hear what Jesus says...
13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.
REVELATION 22:13
(Jesus himself calls himself the first and the last)
Please people, if you truly believe in God, you have to understand that a creating and finite being
cannot save us, God himself had to die in the flesh for us himself to show his love
for us in able to destroy our sin on the cross. Don't fall into distorted teachings of what the bible doesn't teach,
and pay attention to what God's WORD
actually shows & teaches us.
I'll leave you with this if you've made it this far.
6 For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
ISAIAH 9:6 (Jesus referred to as who? MIGHTY GOD) #Distinction #JesusIsGod
5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.
PHILIIPPIANS 2:5-11
God the Father exalts Jesus to have the name above every name, but wait God doesn't share his glory?
8 I am the Lord; that is my name;
my glory I give to no other,
nor my praise to carved idols.
ISAIAH 42:8
Then God the Father calls Jesus God...
8 But of the Son he says,
Your throne, O God, is forever and ever,
the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom.
9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;
therefore God, your God, has anointed you
with the oil of gladness beyond your companions.
HEBREWS 1:8-9 (The Father speaking of the Son, Jesus!)
This is where you have to be honest with the text, and what God is forcing you to understand from
scripture, and why the word "Trinity" is only an attempt to give a description to reconcile God's triune nature
of what we see depicted in the bible of who God the Father, God the Son, and who God the Holy Spirit is.
3 distinct persons who are one > Trinity > Triune God.
Jesus Christ is King!
God bless you.
I appreciate this!!
Somebody finally said it...

She did not DEBUNK the Trinity. She’s simply speaking on the scriptures she’s reading.
The man then told him "That's exactly what you're trying to do"
Take from this story what you will... There are some things that will never be fully explained to everybody. This is just how it is... 1st Cor 13:9
If only she understood what it says in the Greek/Hebrew or Just when Jesus says “the father and I are one “

@@JIG316 Amen. Perfect Verse to show His equality with the Father ...

Who is the firstborn of all creation?
Bless her YAH. I love you sis 🙏 ❤
Prime example of why you should search the scriptures yourself.
Matthew 8:27
“But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!” A typical exmple proving that He is God when the disciples were with him they marvelled at the fact that winds obey His voice because HE CREATED THE WINDS. HE IS GOD.
We, humans, are considered a little lower than the angels not Jesus. Jesus is God. The Holy Spirit is God. The God head three in One. All God, extensions of Himself to carry out different tasks in the midst of the earth, but all a part of Him fulfilling His purpose and Will.

How pretentious of her.

you're absolutely right, i didnt even realize there was a trinity doctrine that says all 3 are completely equal... the scriptures say plainly that Christ the Son submits to the Father, That He is the tippy top and all worship belongs to Him.
@@janepatton8100Not only that Jesus forgave sins.. only God can do that They’re literally 1 Mind Body and Soul is how we should look at this

Bravo! BRAVO!

Appreciate that your digging in the word I love it! but you got this one wrong but that’s ok.
That’s exactly what the Trinity means God is one. It doesn’t say one is above the other.
Excellent video and clear explanation using the Scriptures from sister China. Galatians 1:3-5 - 3. Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. 4. Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, ACCORDING TO THE WILL OF OUR GOD AND FATHER, to whom be glory, forever and ever, Amen.❤️🙌🏾🙏🏾
All of Paul's epistles start with him glorifying and addressing the Father as God and then the Lord Jesus Christ, clearly showing I believe, the Father's authority. Also no mention of the Holy Spirit in any these greetings, if He is a co-equal part of the 3, I would have thought He would be mentioned alongside the Father and Son in these greetings. I'm not saying that means anything for sure, it's just a thought. Regardless of which way you see and understand it,
Love and blessings to you all and your families in Jesus name.❤️🙌🏾🙏🏾
Amen.
JOHN 14:8-11
John.14.8 Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and we will be satisfied." (NLT)
John.14.9 Jesus replied, "Philip, don't you even yet know who I am, even after all the time I have been with you? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking to see him? (NLT)
John.14.10 Don't you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I say are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me. (NLT)
John.14.11 Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Or at least believe because of what you have seen me do. (NLT)
We can go on and on and contradict or agree.

I do encourage every Christian to take their worries and doubts to the Holy Spirit. It's not the analysis nor perfect high lighting of the scriptures that makes our theories right. We must be careful how much direct or indirect influence we put on others by our own understanding.
She and me are in agreement with Gods Word period
How would she explain Genesis 1:26, when God said, "Let US make man in OUR image
Realchops explains this to us..what do you say?
Looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life… READDD “JUDE 1:21”
2 Corinthians 13:14
Ephesians 4:4-6
1 Peter 1:2
Revelation 1:4-6
1 Timothy 2:5
2 Peter 1:17
Titus 2:13
Acts 5:3-4
Luke 3:22
Matthew 28:19
John 10:30
John 17:20-21
1 Corinthians 10:17
But I agree with you she preaching a false doctrine and saying she doesn't believe in The Trinity.
“Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?” Peter replied, “You are the Messiah.””
Mark 8:29

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2He was in the beginning with God.
3All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
”And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.“
John 1:14
