A Quick Way To Fill Ceilings And Walls Without Having To Mix A Powder Filler

  • I purchased this ready mix Toupret Joint And Skim filler in a 20kg tub. It can be used straight away so it's so useful for them interior jobs that require alot of filling like hairline cracks etc. can be sanded down so easy and it doesn't flash through the paintwork.
    I would say a minimum of two coats and maybe a third in deeper holes. The room needs to be warm and ventilation is key for this to dry out in a day to be sanded down. I use an industrial fan heater which works a treat.

    Didn't realise they did this in a tub. Got myself a 20kg job this morning happy days. Definitely leaning more to pre mixed fillers these days, no messing about knocking them up and having to clean mixing bowls. Cheers Dan. 👍

    Toupret products are great , i like to use Fibafuse tape on bad cracks along with Toupret , bomb proof for repairs.

    Those cracks look like someone has driven a JCB into the house - either that or there's subsidence.

    Toupret is brilliant. No shrinking, no cracking. I used it on some major cracks in between ceiling and wall and it's perfect. And I am far from professional! No need to prime either

      The mirka handy is great for corners...it is a hand sander but is still dust free..I also use it for filler especially joint fill and skim as used here and easy fill as the derus can take a bit much out..

    How’s does it compare to the ready mixed easi fill i wonder… Iv been using tub fillers for years now, just always have one on the van… just take what u need never put back in the tub what you’ve taken out just bin it.

    • @danielnugentpainteranddeco557
      @danielnugentpainteranddeco557  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi mate. This is defo a 2 skim filler but usually for deeper holes I use Easyfill 20 for 1st coat then use this over it for the 2nd skim. You get great results so I'd keep both on board the van.

    Hi Dan...dont you find that the pre mix of joint fill and skim is slower to dry off than the powder mix ? I use the joint fill skim all the time and have used the pre mix and thata what i found
