Soft shelled turtles are invasive here in the Philippines and are considered as pest.

You should go eat at my grandmas. A big pot would be cooking on the stove for a few dozen people and a frying pan cooking a porkchop for me because she knows I wouldn't touch what was in that pot with a ten foot pole. lol :)

1. Lemah (Fermented Bamboo)
2. Ikan pais (Fish Pie)
3. Tempuyak (Fermented Durian)
4. Bagar Hiu (Shark Rendang)
5. Caluk (Fermented shrimp)
In other areas:
- Papua, people eat Palm worm with palm powder, instead of rice
- Lombok, people eat Sea worm
- Somewhere in Java people eat soil, banana trees, flying ants
- Madura, people eat corn instead of rice
- somewhere in NTT people eat sweet potatoes or casava, instead of rice
So, Indonesia is very diverse, right? Enjoy the food!

Ayam geprek is originally from Yogyakarta, a city in Java. It's like students meal coz we could take freeflow rice and in some places even freeflow ice tea. It's students life saver. 😂😂

Just for the fragrance from a drip of kefir lime, not for the taste or tanginess. Often to avoid a strong smell of garlic or shrimp paste.

You need to start doing episodes in Mexico. All of the different regions and their regional differences in foods could account for a lot of episodes. Mexico city alone could account for multiple episodes. Also, you should explore the incredibly unique foods of the Andean region. They have tons of unique, indigenous foods that the people from the Andean civilization (which included the Incas) ate.
