    I now exclusively use weintek which is what maple systems hmi is, they have a comprehensive range of coms drivers to communicate with the plc. They even have options that have can operate as plc and plc, logic is programmed with codesys. I have also used them as gateway taking data from rs 485 network and re transmitting it on Ethernet. Can also re transmit to plc through proprietary coms. Wireless options also.

    Hi very well explained.
    Suggest you to add more videos on HMI designing and features as well as taking backup from Simatic touch panel and edit the program

    Beijer makes excellent panels and HMI software (ix developer). I would recommend them over the Siemens due to their ease of use and cost.

    thank u your Videos are Helpfull.. i have a question: what is the differnce between the characteristic of Profinet and Ethernet/IP? we use for both of them the same kabel and interface! is that matter to choose the right HMI?

    • @realpars
      @realpars  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both Profinet and Ethernet/IP are well-suited for automation installations. Both are fast and secure. Both are based on the IEC 61158 standard. Both are industrial ethernet protocols. Profinet has some advantages over Ethernet/IP, but both are excellent choices for plant automation. Of course, you need to ensure the communication ports on your hardware (PLC's, VFD's, HMI's, etc.) support the communication protocol chosen for your automation network.

    I have used a MTP1500 for a project now, and I would say it is not ready yet. There are alot of missing features and bugs. Hopefully next version of TIA portal will fix the problems.

    I am working in automation project with delta AS228R delta plc . Number tags i required is 500. Size of HMI should 15 inch .please suggest the best hmi in delta range.

    • @realpars
      @realpars  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Any HMI that can communicate via Profinet or Ethernet/IP can be used. Since Delta does not appear to have any built-in HMI configuration capability, you will need a stand-alone HMI application. WinCC Advanced with a WinCC Comfort Panel or an A-B PanelView 1500 programmed with Studio5000 View Designer should work well.

    What about pc based HMI ?

    • @realpars
      @realpars  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This video presented panel-based HMI terminals. At RealPars.com, we have a course that presents PC-based HMI applications based on WinCC Advanced. From a screen development standpoint, the PC-based HMI configuration is not much different from developing screens for a panel HMI. The difference is mainly in the toolkit used for placing and animating objects, but since all of these software tools are based on Windows, they all pretty much have the same look and feel.

    The best panel is not yet for sale. The panel that just simply has a streaming network to stream from the actual processor like Chrome cast. Were you don't have a middle man processor. Were you don't have a middle man distribution. It is straight coming from the core rack / chassis. The fact is these companies are not using modern technology they are using old technology just like the robots. They're charging exuberant amount of money for old Tech.

    • @alexandernorman5337
      @alexandernorman5337 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, the actual hardware technology is always a few generations old. But there are good reasons for that. You want something that is reliable more so than cutting edge. So, when making industrial systems you source hardware components that have proven themselves over a few years and then you test them for harsh environments (temperature, dust, EMI, etc.) That's where the cost comes in.
      It's that way for software too. I see a lot of Windows XP and Windows 7 computers providing supervisory oversight. Three years ago I even saw Windows NT.
