  • Drexciya - Rare Interview with Liz Copeland (May 2002).
Background track titles added in the upper right.
A truly inspiring interview from an individual 100% dedicated to their art-form.
James Stinson died in Sept 2002 of heart complications, only a matter of months after this interview, aged just 32.
I didn't want this interview to fall under the radar of old and new Drexciya fans.

to blame a generation? now that would be a mistake. they could have easily blamed us too.
I was a personal friend fo James and spent many moments just listening and learning from him.
I only said what i said. Because knowing him as i did i know he would be pretty upset with the state of things today.
It has nothing to do with age. didnt for him never did for me. It has to do with integrity and this is the sadly lacking element to most things these days.

There was actually another interview on air with both Gerald Donald and James Stinson broadcast on 88.3 WCBN FM Ann Arbor. Brendan Gillen did the interview on his show Crush Collision. This was before the station archived shows digitally, and the only remaining recording of it on a cassette tape was lost. I would have loved to hear that. Great upload
