Ive had my 5.7 challenger for almost a year, it suits my daily driving needs just fine. It's not going to win races against other V8s, but i love the sound, the look and the cost to own is ideal for a guy with 3 kids and a stay at home wife
basically making it the perfect daily driver for car guys. That's what I used to say - these R/T's are perfect. Cost of ownership is on point, enough HP/Torque to light up the tires when no one is around & sounds amazing.

You definitely can feel the difference between the two, however you will find yourself with a nasty speeding ticket if you really want to push the 392. And although both the 5.7 and 392 are capable of getting good/ sometimes similar mpg’s, let me tell you when your on it, the 392 drinks gas a LOT quicker then when your on it in the 5.7.
Hey R/T Life I've been watching your videos for a little over a year and a half now, love your content bro, I just lost my 2015 Charger R/T due to a repo, I loved my Mopar, miss her every day man. Currently in a position where I don't have a car at all now but I'm still digging the content.
A nice veiw i was impressed with the look of this 345 Challenger the grill, ect & under the hood, something about that orange! Cool ride! Appreciate your efforts Bud! Excellent job,Cheers!
I come from a 19 corolla so a longitudinal v8 in a charger or challenger thats rwd is new to me. But I will tell you this. Its all in the details. I went to a dodge dealership recently and they had to do their routine letting the engines on their outside lineup run. So the young guy said it was cool for me to film a rev vid on a challenger rt. As I was revving the 2020 challenger rt, the rushing torque caused the whole car to twitch to the right. Also the exhaust was enough to send adrenaline rushing through your veins. And even when the challenger was at idle, the whole coupe was ever so slightly twitching from the running hemi. All of these things I was not used to because I come from a corolla. All of these things I've mentioned is enough for me to get an rt
They're so much damn fun man. The low end torque will have your wheeling screaming for grip. Many people forget how much fun they are because of the 392 & hellcat above it.
I wish they would, but then how would they sell the Scat Pack for $10,000 more when it would only have 80 more horsepower? Maybe if one day in the near future the 6.4 is making like 520hp from the factory, then I could see Dodge bumping the 5.7L to 400, maybe 415hp.
the wheels and the orange is dope. i drive mine like a grandma, so when i do put the foot down which is not often, its like a new experience everytime. if youre into horsepower, you'll never be satisfied, esp when youre mashing it all the time.. you can get used to it.
I have a 2019 Challenger 5.7L R/T and I absolutely love it. I don't do any racing, just interstate driving and work commute. What makes this car worth it is when you can show up foreign cars that cost much more than Mopar in a street light race. For example, did a 0-60 twice with against a Alfa Romeo, and won by 1 second each time. Guy couldn't believe this car could beat his. Great video!
I was watching a BMason live last night, he was showing the love to the 5.7. The 5.7 is a great platform, and you have shown that. I'm always talking about you to others. You bring the bacon buddy.
Just bought an new 2020 RT 5.7 Plus pkg Thursday. I've put 323 miles on it so far. I just upgraded from a 2014 SE V6( pedal commander and Tazer too) now to do it for my NEW 5.7 :) . Ya I'm very excited and love the sound, the feel, OH Ya. And I watched a bunch of your videos before my purchase. Thank you for all your information R/T life.
More power is never a bad thing but IMO this all you need 90 percent of the time. In Canada where i live a well optioned RT will already set you back 50k plus and a Scat runs well past 60k with any options. Reality is the avg person wont ever see a drag strip and away from the drag strip the 5.7 feels strong and sounds even better. Get a 6.4 if you can swing it but the 5.7 is still a blast
I thinks it’s enough for a daily driver. It sounds good and still gets 20mpg highway. I enjoy mine and it’s funny how you get a lot of people on the road in Mexico 🇲🇽 trying to line up
Had the 5.7 in my last 3 rams and 2 chargers. Love this motor. Never had any issues ever. In the 2019 charger the active exhaust sounds amazing imho. Is it fast by today’s standards nope but I’m ok with what it is. FYI the manual clearly states 89 octane recommended 87 acceptable.
yah that active exhaust is a great setup - really allows you to hear the Hemi. They bottled it up to much before 2017. It's a fun ride & will not crush your bank account.
I still love my 5.7... shes the Magnum though. Still makes me smile when I hit the gas and see the mustangs in the rear view. Shes got a canned tune, headers, performance cats, exhaust, intake, basically everything you want NA before camming. I also did her shocks, better brakes, and swapped to poly bushings. She sounds like a monster and performs like one too. Thats why I put 357 above magnum. (Thanks autozone stick on numbers lol) Cuz shes one big beast.
Dude you think the Diablo 93 canned tune is impressive? You gotta feel Jaye Greene's 93 Track tune! Whoa!! Completely different monster! Totally worth it
I'm a year into mine. Stock it's okay but not to fast. Just got a bigger cam into it. When it's just completely straight piped it's the best sounding muscle car to me. Mopar for the win
I’m right there with him, and you, I want to see it progress. Hell I could always sell my house and a kidney to buy a Hellcat, but I kind of like having those, for now 😂.
hahaha I hear you on that! I like my house & kindney as well. It really is cool watching the car progress as you modify it. Slowly becomes something cool/unique.
Diablo worked out nicely for me. Great for bolt-on & emailed tuning. If you're going to go to a shop down the road for cam/supercharger etc. maybe consider HP Tuners.
We test drove a 2020 r/t it just didn’t have quite enough for me. ( I’m used to dsm’s trapping 128.) Found a 16 scat with 21k on it and fell in love. It’s no hellcat but will be just right for my wife to grow into. She hasn’t stopped smiling since.
It's great to find a fellow Long Islander with so much knowledge about 5.7 hemi😈I'd love to pick your brain one day. I'm just getting into cams and looking Into tunes.
I have a 15 shaker manual and I am happy with it overall. Looks great. Not the fastest but it's no slouch. Took it on a 2500 mile road trip and was averaging about 26 mpg at 80 mph all day.
Had a '09 R/T Challenger 5.7 for 10 years. Great car. But I ain't gonna lie, it did leave me wanting just a bit more. That year was the first year of the R/T and it was still borrowing stock Dodge parts from everywhere. Had more Ram logos on it than the dam trucks themselves. They weren't sure at that point, that it was going to be the monster hit it became. Swapped it for a new '19 Scat last year. The 6.4 is in a different ballpark altogether. It finally feels, looks, and sounds like it should. It's got all the best engineering from every trim level and under $45k! Best bang for buck by far if you are a low end grunt, torque demon like me.
Maybe these 5.7s would be enough but my 2006 5.7 needed a few performance mods before I felt gd enough about it. Thing is I still crave more hp/tq so more mods this spring/summer lol
I hope you upgraded/replaced your heads in your process. Buddy of mine had to do that recently in his '06 Magnum due to the valve seat issue that the older Gen 3 HEMI's have. Disable the MDS too if you haven't already.
I know exactly what that guy means at the end. I did a lot of small cosmetic changes, but once i started messing with stiffening up the suspension and seeing how much the car had changed, I loved driving my car even more. Now when people ask about it, they notice the cosmetic but I get a chance to talk about the upgrades, and how well it handles and upgrades I've done to it.
I'm in a 2011 rt awd charger. Headers, 3" exhaust to corsa cat back. Cammed. Right now I'm at 374rwhp on an hst dyno with a mellow tune. It's a daily driver. I'm about to put it back in for a bigger cam. 5.7 is enough at first, but you always want more. I'd love to hook up some time, I'm on the same road as the atco drag way.
Have a 18 5.7 RT. Its enough for daily driving but if you get into taking it to the track then its not enough. Get it up to 80 and it just fades. I’m adding SC in a few months for race season.
I noticed that as well. Once the HWY pulls came around the 5.7L really wasn't enough. Low end it was a blast. A SC will certainly fix top end falling flat.
@@redmunds5976 A super charger will add power for sure; but if you don't replace the bottom end of the engine first, you'll need to keep the boost low.
Love my 5.7 HEMI Charger. It has a lot of kick in stock form, I will mod it later, on the highway she can still hang with most sports cars, so win or lose I love my machine. Scats and Hellcats are sweet, I respect all the higher end ones, but I have no regrets on my R/T.
Having a 5.7 or Scatty is nice because they’re fun to floor around. I never come close to using all the horsepower in my hellcat, but the torque is a ton of fun.
With that intake setup, he really needs long tubes & a tune to get more out of it. I got the headers & 3" pipes all the way. Still stock tuned for now, but MAN what a difference it makes in the power as well as the sound! Gotta love those Flowmaster Outlaw mufflers!
My 06 charger is kinda too fast for where I live now, in Magdalen Islands!! A small archipelago surrounded by beaches!! No highway and no race track what so ever!! I got long tube headers, AEM cold air, Diablosport i1000 with a custom race tune and a getrag 3.91 rear end!! Went only ounce to a drag strip and with stock 18" tires, 13.54 @96 mph was my best. Spun almost half track lol!! I know its far from been fast, but the only road I use here is to go to work and its only a 35 mph zone!! Still love my car, even tho people here don't lol. Only love Rams!!
We must have a hellish 5.7 in our 2020 Challenger R/T...it's a beast...remember...you can have 20 Challenger R/T's and one is going to be the fastest and one's gonna be the slowest and 18 in between those two...can't speak for everyone, but as I said...our 2020 Challenger R/T 50th Anniversary Commemorative Edition is a absolute beast...it breathes like a Hell Cat .. .plenty of power and acceleration...to each their own
I had a 2017 Challenger RT. As of about a week ago I just traded it in for a 2021 Challenger Scat. I really enjoyed my 5.7 but I'm in love with my new scat. Super excited to have it for a long time and hopefully will find some money to start modding as soon as possible. But I can definitely feel the power difference when I step on it.
I've had a 5.7 since April of 2016. If I could do it again, I'd still get this car. Even though I've driven a 6th gen SS and ridden in a 2018+ 5.0 and know those are leaps and bounds faster, they're too damn small on the inside.
Just run a dryer hose tube from the front grill to the factory airbox with a k&n filter in it. Forced cool air and stealthy. I switched a fog light out for the tube. ;)
The modern 5.7 & the fact that after all these years, 2003ish I think, is still being produced with little change, aside from a couple of revisions like variable valve timing for 2009 models, the upgrade options are endless!
2015 Challenger R/T Plus, 126,000 miles, factory cold air, muffler delete, upgraded rotors and pads. Still average 21-22 mpg. Any more power no longer practical as daily driver. Love the car overall.
I got a ‘14 R/T Challenger wit only 28k miles in the inferno orange color. Muffler/resonator delete really wakes that Hemi up. It’s a great daily driver & the cold start is awesome. It’s not enough HP for that big of a car. I had a v6 Camaro & I think it was faster
I have a 5.7 bone stock , waiting for warranty to expire and pay it off to then make it a toy , maybe trade in for 392 who knows , but you inspire the fuck out of me brother .
I didnt plan on doing engine work and i wanted something that can eat up alote of cars so i just jump in a scatty and im very pleased few more thousands i think the scat pack is the sweet spot plus i see rt like 35 to 38 k just get the 64 round 41 to 45 depending on options 6.4 is what i would say 500 hp thats enough for me instead trying to mod a 5.7 to a 6.4 and have no warranty think about it for real
hey i just have a question. do you think gettin the 5.7 is a good first car? as far as reliability and maintenance. pls respond. i’ve loved chargers for years now and you’ve inspired me to get one more and more everyday
The problem is that it's not cost effective to mod once you get tired of the power. Either buy a blower or trade it in for a Scat Pack, particularly if you have a locked PCM.
I have awd dodge charger RT but I guess I just like the torque. Pulling off from lights getting tossed back in my seat, it's wonderful. Definitely will be modding it though.

Imo, theres a huge difference, went from a chall sxt 2014 to a 20 charger rt, for me was the v8 factor and rumble a v8 entails.... Personally now, a 5.7 is enough and the jump would be to a scat in a year or couple for what options you can get on the new models cuz that wide body shaker challenger to me is so god damn clean and I want it and its not so much the more power need. Sxt to rt/scat to hellcat etc are the big jumps
My 2019 started to dyno at 516-518 after around the 10,000 mile mark wit a paddle commander dude that more than enough hp for a daily driver as far as I'm concerned
I live in ny and realistically A hellcat & scat pack are pointless to have. They were not designed to be daily drivers and speeding from red light to red light isn’t my cup of tea especially if I got 485 or 707 hp. The sweet spot for me would be the R/T, a 5.7L daily driver with 370 horsepower
If it were a manual, I would be more of a fan of the 5.7. With a limited slip differential and 3.70 gears that Challenger would be just dumbass fun to drive. When it comes to a 5.7 mounted to a Nag1 transmission, I'm not a fan. First gear on that transmission is fairly tall and with tall rear gears, the car would feel lazy compared to the 392. There's a big difference in performance between a 5.7 mounted to an 8 speed and one mounted to 5 speed.
You're right about the difference in transmissions. Before purchasing my RT I test drove some 14's & just wasn't as impressed with the low end pull. Mine also came with 3.07 so that made a difference as well.
This car looks awesome. Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺 I have a 2018 mustang GT in the same colour. I would be absolutely stoked to have that Hemi but they aren’t really available here.
I just installed mine on my 2013 RT Very simple to do and I absolutely think everyone should have. If you play with stock options there's a throttle response that I'm playing with. Is this basically the pedal commander too?
I think 5.7 is enough for most average performance drivers. For the enthusiast, it can go both ways for whatever you planning on doing. I prefer stock power and just adding simple bolt on and I'm all good. 😎👍
Hi brother, love the content and the channel!! I have a question for you. With your long tube headers and your car being lowered, do you have clearance issues over speed bumps etc? How much lower would you say the long tubes are compared to the stock pipes? I have a 17’ 300S 5.7 with the basic bolt on’s, and I’m thinking about headers. I’m lowered about 1.75 inches and I’m worried about scraping/rubbing. Any info would help. Thank you for your channel and keep up the great work!!!
I like that color! It's my same year but his is manual. Was the 85mm tb a direct fit and was it the largest you can go without having to manipulate to put it in?
@R/T Life I have a 2014 5.7 charger is it worth it to trade the charger for a challenger or to just keep the charger and continue to modify it? Ps the charger is paid off and im a college student Thanks for the advice in advance

I'm want something that is simple, I just want to drop three inches in the back and two in the front. And roughly how much? Thanks in advance.
@@RTLife last question about the aibach spring, so that all you need? You don't need nothing else? Correct me if I'm wrong since I just want no more than 1.5 front drop and 2.0 drop in the rear. The sport line is the best, because I heard that the Eibach Pro is to low?
I have a 5.7 and a 6.1 and I can say without a doubt the 5.7 is no longer enough. Had both for over 10 years and the difference is huge. If I was buying today no way would I take less than the 6.4
honestly i dont like those years of challengers but i like his, my biggest problem was the tail light n he fixed it although for those years i would have gone for a 6.1
I have a 2013 pursuit 5.7 with a 6.4 cams but no tune, which tune do you recommend? I bought the car with the cam already installed but I suspect it may also have a governor delete because when tested the top speed it topped out at 163 when stock the pursuit tops out at 150. idk if that extra 13 mph comes from the bigger cam or if it may be a governor delete.

@@RTLife was wondering rt is the dodge charger for that year through 2014 the same? Can I just grab a diablo tuner online and install as such?
it's enough however they should raise the power to at least 400 in the Charger/Challenger
yah I agree - should see a bump of 30-40hp
At least make the same power level with the RAM 5.7L. better intake and exhaust manifolds will do that.
I wish they would, but then how would they sell the Scat Pack for $10,000 more when it would only have 80 more horsepower? Maybe if one day in the near future the 6.4 is making like 520hp from the factory, then I could see Dodge bumping the 5.7L to 400, maybe 415hp.
I agree the 5.7 should have 400hp .
@@RTLife easy fix is with shorty headers from factory would make these more bang for te buck
the wheels and the orange is dope. i drive mine like a grandma, so when i do put the foot down which is not often, its like a new experience everytime. if youre into horsepower, you'll never be satisfied, esp when youre mashing it all the time.. you can get used to it.
I have a 2018 shaker R/T with a stock 5.7, ran 13.23 in the 1/4 at 102.1 mph. I’m happy with that.
Getting a 2012 Rt challenger this week with still only 33k miles it can’t wait and love the Channel always on here
I was watching a BMason live last night, he was showing the love to the 5.7. The 5.7 is a great platform, and you have shown that. I'm always talking about you to others. You bring the bacon buddy.
He is a pretty knowledgable person with these Hemi's. Thank you! I try having fun with these Mopars - def a blast!
Thank you for all your information
R/T life.
I love the color of his Challenger. The overall look, very nice. The strut tower brace and matching paint in the engine bay was nice. Very nice ride.
yah he has himself a nice ride - glad I was finally able to show off his R/T!
Love the orange challenger 🔥🔥
def a nice looking ride
I thinks it’s enough for a daily driver. It sounds good and still gets 20mpg highway. I enjoy mine and it’s funny how you get a lot of people on the road in Mexico 🇲🇽 trying to line up
yah everyone wants to race you! They're a lot of fun though
@@RTLife yeah they really are.
Especially dudes in big trucks. Like, "really man?"
Who actually reads the manual except geeks like me? Mine says 91 octane for models with the 6-speed manual trans, which is what I've got.
I like the tail lights BTW the charger looking sweet
yah that setup he has in the back looks solid. Thank you! Def appreciate it
Last year I paid 5k for my 300c and I love it. So much fun modding and seeing people’s faces when I gap them. My car is less than a pro charger. Lol
hahaha it really is fun messing with people! Glad to hear that 300 is running nice & hurting feelings
Totally worth it
I had the Greene tune - def made the Hemi rip! He does a solid job
Key, what handheld tuner do you have?

Glad this was enjoyable - thank you for the support! I always appreciate it
I'm a year into mine. Stock it's okay but not to fast. Just got a bigger cam into it. When it's just completely straight piped it's the best sounding muscle car to me. Mopar for the win
I have a fully loaded 2020 rt and i like it. It's the rumble for me
I’m right there with him, and you, I want to see it progress. Hell I could always sell my house and a kidney to buy a Hellcat, but I kind of like having those, for now 😂.
hahaha I hear you on that! I like my house & kindney as well. It really is cool watching the car progress as you modify it. Slowly becomes something cool/unique.
@@RTLife doing the unlocked PCM this year, do you still recommend the Diablo?
Diablo worked out nicely for me. Great for bolt-on & emailed tuning. If you're going to go to a shop down the road for cam/supercharger etc. maybe consider HP Tuners.
@@stitgibekili I'd say the Diablo is good for DIY tuning; but if you wanna do serious, professional tuning, then the HP is the way to go.
Wow...a Fresh Air Intake.... AMAZING! ..And Orange....this is F$#@kin Amazing! !!
Hahaha yah def amazing!!! Glad you’re pumped about it 👍
I have a 15 shaker manual and I am happy with it overall.
I've had my 5-7 since 2006 and it still runs like a rocket
Maybe these 5.7s would be enough but my 2006 5.7 needed a few performance mods before I felt gd enough about it. Thing is I still crave more hp/tq so more mods this spring/summer lol
We always want a little more hahaha! No matter which Hemi we have. But these 5.7 hemi's wake up real quick once you bolt on a few things.
I hope you upgraded/replaced your heads in your process. Buddy of mine had to do that recently in his '06 Magnum due to the valve seat issue that the older Gen 3 HEMI's have. Disable the MDS too if you haven't already.
@@RTLife Sure do wake up nicely with a few bolt ons. The 5.7s can be a pretty gd bargain overall
@@DJGRoc Thx for the heads up.
The valve seats are a definite issue and yes deleting the mds is a gd place to start to help prevent this issue👍
@@hemiheritage Your more than welcome, & good luck man! 👍🏼
Cool challenger, still love my 2010 rt 5.7 Hemi
108 k still going strong.
Depends what you want, in my opinion..No it’s not enough. Lol it is a badass engine tho.
it really is a great engine - but you're right. Depends on what you're looking for. Hows that Hellcat life treating you?
@@RTLife I love it bro, just can’t wait to start the performance mods🤘🏼 glad to see your video bro🤙🏼
@@RTLife i hope it does the trick. Love the mods you’ve done to your car and thanks for the awesome content / info!
Orange Blouse too.... AMAZING...! Nice Blouse bro!!...it's easy to buy one...like You said! ...Great Job! ..U Bought one!!!
Hell yah 👍
Having a 5.7 or Scatty is nice because they’re fun to floor around. I never come close to using all the horsepower in my hellcat, but the torque is a ton of fun.
The hellcat is a lot of handle without drag radials. Way to much power for street tires (at least for me). Fun as hell to drive.
With that intake setup, he really needs long tubes & a tune to get more out of it. I got the headers & 3" pipes all the way. Still stock tuned for now, but MAN what a difference it makes in the power as well as the sound! Gotta love those Flowmaster Outlaw mufflers!
R/t’s need more love they can be modded and be fast as shit 🔥
I have 2016 Charger SXT with body kit and hellcat hood bro!!!!!!!! I get so much love!! Especially when 3 12's pounding......
Nice! What's next for that Charger?
@@RTLife Pedal Commander and air intake... I'm not supercharging it if I want even more horse power trade it in 5.7l
We must have a hellish 5.7 in our 2020 Challenger R/T...it's a beast...remember...you can have 20 Challenger R/T's and one is going to be the fastest and one's gonna be the slowest and 18 in between those two...can't speak for everyone, but as I said...our 2020 Challenger R/T 50th Anniversary Commemorative Edition is a absolute beast...it breathes like a Hell Cat .. .plenty of power and acceleration...to each their own
The good thing about the 5.7 is it's a strong motor that will last.
Agreed. They did a solid job making the 5.7 a work horse that can be pushed hard
No doubt about it - 100hp is certainly noticeable. You really see the difference while on the HWY. The 5.7L falls flat while the 392 keeps pulling
I have a 5.7 it’s enough if you want fun plus 20mpg still. But if you don’t need the mileage then you prolly would want more.
Making it a really fun daily driver.
I have a 5.7 the best I get is 15mpg
Mpg is more related to how it is driven rather than power. When I had my hc charger. I averaged 19.5 as my daily. And well over 20 on trips.
This is cool bro I genuinely appreciate this
Ive had my 08 magnum RT for two years and I love it. From time to time I do crave a little more power lol
That’s the flow master American thunder cat back I used to run this on my 5.7 good sound I just wanted louder. Got that old school rasp I like
yah I had a similar setup. Has a very deep low rumble. Was very happy to upgrade the exhaust & bump up the loud!!!
What a great looking challenger. Love the color
I've had a 5.7 since April of 2016. If I could do it again, I'd still get this car. Even though I've driven a 6th gen SS and ridden in a 2018+ 5.0 and know those are leaps and bounds faster, they're too damn small on the inside.
I really love the louvres on that orange Challenger I have them on my 16 RT looks so good on them
Love the Momentum GT intakes!!!
Everyone that has it, loves it. Must be a solid product
Had it on my 3.6L & will get it soon for my 5.7L.
Just run a dryer hose tube from the front grill to the factory airbox with a k&n filter in it. Forced cool air and stealthy. I switched a fog light out for the tube. ;)
The modern 5.7 & the fact that after all these years, 2003ish I think, is still being produced with little change, aside from a couple of revisions like variable valve timing for 2009 models, the upgrade options are endless!
def a great engine to get your hands on if you like bolt on upgrades. It wakes up quickly
2015 Challenger R/T Plus, 126,000 miles, factory cold air, muffler delete, upgraded rotors and pads. Still average 21-22 mpg. Any more power no longer practical as daily driver. Love the car overall.
I live the monte carlo sitting next to it, those cars are dope man
I got a ‘14 R/T Challenger wit only 28k miles in the inferno orange color.
The 5.7 is a torque monster out of the box. Some bolt-ons & tune will give you noticeable gains.
I’m more than happy with my 5.7 but when im like 25 imma get a scatpack or a hellcat
You'll enjoy getting into one of those 392 or Hellcat's - keep on enjoying that 5.7

I wonder what tail light cover thing hes running i love the look from the back
Look up Daytona tail lights overlays and you’ll find them for sale on a few different websites, if I remember right it’s around the $200 mark for them but it’s just a piece of a aluminum that sticks over the original tail light
@@section2970 thanks ive been looking for them for an hour
I think the 5.7 is great if you are looking for a daily driver that looks and sounds good, as well as mod to compete in the track/street
100% agree - fun & practical option for most.
I like everything but the front grill
I thought that gave it a cool retro mad max look
I was looking to get the for mine. But I’m not sure . I want the Cuda grill
Love the orange color. Any Hemi is enough 🔥
Plenty to have fun with
This car looks awesome. Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺 I have a 2018 mustang GT in the same colour. I would be absolutely stoked to have that Hemi but they aren’t really available here.
I just installed mine on my 2013 RT
Very simple to do and I absolutely think everyone should have.

I have a 5.7 jeep overland with a pedal box and it runs like a srt 8 that fast enough
a throttle response device + Hemi is an amazing combo
I have a 5.7 and a 6.1 and I can say without a doubt the 5.7 is no longer enough. Had both for over 10 years and the difference is huge. If I was buying today no way would I take less than the 6.4
