Young lady you are one of the most amazing contributors to youtube that I have ever seen. Your mom did a fantastic job mothering you and she is blessed back because of your dedication, and care that you demonstrate to her. Many blessings into the deep future.
I have so much love and respect for this lady. Watching this is super motivating. It saves money and I am learning how to do things for myself and not have to call Contractors. Yesss this is what I call Empowerment go head ms lady.
I am going to redo our basement stairs. You made your mom so super happy great job! It looks fantastic! Go girl power for sure. I was so impressed when metal fixtures into the railing. What a great idea.
Currently doing some home renovation and stairs is one that stresses me most. You made it look so easy but at least I now have an idea on what to do with it. You did an awesome job. Thanks for sharing your diy video.
You are such a joy and major contender. You can run with the BEST. I look forward to your videos. I have recently discover your channel and elated that I did.
I'm impressed, a lot of work and planning goes into such 'little' projects. You show that you can get great results while still doing it on a budget yourself. Quick tip: Setting the circular saw on a cutting depth slightly deeper than the old treats would have made it a bit easier for you. Great job!
First of all it is gorrrrgeous u gave me motivation that I can 4sure do it myself. Now secondly, girlllllll that can not b ur mom😮 more like ur sister she looks so young u guys look like sister. Such a beautiful thing u did 4her, I love it.
Wow! You are an amazing inspiration. God Bless you and thank you for sharing. So motivating to see so many women on here killin the "DIY" game. I love it. I guess I'm late to the party! Thumbs up'd and subscribed! 😊
What spirit! First off I was impressed that she would cut the ballasters with a circular saw. I had big hands and forearms and the kick is a bit disconcering. She shows the spirirt of getting a job done. No hesitation. This is how you get projetcs done. Often homeowners get stalled analyzing approach to tasks. Good job :)
Worthy video . . Mia I was right w/ you up until 3:08 when you pulled out the circular saw. Not that I'm afraid of hard work, I'm just not skilled when it comes to all those tools. But I stayed right w/ you, You would have found me outside staining your treads. And I loved the ebony stain you used. I would give anything to have your talent. This is my go to video when I have mine done... Loved you n your momma at the end. Thank you!
You did a GREAT job on those stairs!! Mad props! You gave me the idea to remove our wooden spindles and replace with iron.. had not even thought of that! Thanks!!!!!!
Wow women doing all of this handy work themselves is so impressive. There is nothing we can’t do 🥹❤ The end result is soooo amazing. I would definitely have to hire for that
Excellent! That is an amazing transformation. Your mom looks young. If I had to use that saw, I would be missing a few fingers right now😂. I have ideas but my hands don't work!
Wow!!! This is beautiful! I've been thinking about redoing my stairs. This gives me hope but whew it's alot of work Bravo. I used gel stain on my banister and it also took forever to dry.
Needed this video so bad right now! Redoing my basement steps has been a mess, but this is so easy to follow and actually makes sense. Great job and thank you!!
Thank you so much for this video. I plan to do my stairs soon. I have a Starting turnout step and those are a bit expensive so I need to wait for that to get here. FYI for next time: with Gel Stain you have to allow it to dry for 24 hours between coats and there are 2 ways to apply (as a paint or as a stain) I used Gel Stain for my cabinets.
Hi Mia! Looks amazing girl!! I would like to update my staircase from carpet to hardwood as well. Is there a reason you replaced the tread and risers instead of staining what you had? My treads appear to be pine already and the risers are plywood so I would definitely have to install risers. Any advice?
I personally felt like it would have a cleaner look if I put new ones on. The ones on my stairs wasn't the best quality of wood. You could use your existing wood, if you feel its a good quality.
I want to do this to my stairs but people have told me that the stairs will be slippery and dangerous. Did your mom have a hard time getting used to the change?
I did this to my stairs years ago. It was a huge improvement and decrease in fall risk for me. I pulled carpet and thankfully oak treads were under the carpet so all I had to do was sand and stain.
Neither. The vinyl floor use a click system that attach them together. Some people use glue on the last/ first row, but I didn't when I installed these. Its been a few years and they are still holding up well.
Can you tell us if the overall cost of the materials? Thinking about doing this at home. Also, where can I go to get the wood for the stairs is it cheaper to buy them and stain yourself.
is using liquid nail and some actual nails durable enough for the daily use? I like the idea of the quickness in instalment. Looking great btw! Only thing I would have done differently is remove the ballister and add some stainless steel or woodden rails to the wall. Good job
I want to do something similar, but not sure what to do with the 2 bottom steps that I have, as they are long and rounded on one side where there is no wall.. any ideas, guys? Thank you 😊
Do you have the link to the other guys channel for the stair railing? That exact railing is what i want to do for my stairs. I have to see the step by step tutorial on that. Great video! 😀👍

How sweet 🥰 You are a wonderful daughter and a blessing to your beautiful mother ❤🙏.
Looks great! Did the proportion of your steps change when you did this? I would think adding a new year on top of old wood make steps "taller".

This is awesome and inspiring! How did you transition the flooring at the landing from the edge of the step? Is there some kind of strip right there?
I used a transition strip that was the same tone.
Great video, what was the estimated total price of all material?
Awesome job!! 🙌
Thank you!

Awesome job! May I use you a as a reference when I remove carpet? 😊
Great video….question: does that vinyl flooring have sticky on the bottom or is it nailed down? haven’t done that before
Neither. The vinyl floor use a click system that attach them together. Some people use glue on the last/ first row, but I didn't when I installed these. Its been a few years and they are still holding up well.
Hi. Did you sand the hand rail before staining?
Great work!
You’re my inspiration
Thank you! I didn't, but I definitely recommend sanding it before hand.
Thanks. Since you didn’t sand, did the finish came out ok though?
Sorry one more question, when you cut the spindles without removing the railing, is it easy to put new spindles without removing hand railing?
@@phanikumar6933 It came out okay, but after a few months the finish started wearing off. So I had to redo it.
Can you tell us if the overall cost of the materials? Thinking about doing this at home. Also, where can I go to get the wood for the stairs is it cheaper to buy them and stain yourself.
You always do a good job! 😊
Thank you! 😊
How did you do the side of the stair?
is using liquid nail and some actual nails durable enough for the daily use? I like the idea of the quickness in instalment. Looking great btw! Only thing I would have done differently is remove the ballister and add some stainless steel or woodden rails to the wall. Good job
I want to do something similar, but not sure what to do with the 2 bottom steps that I have, as they are long and rounded on one side where there is no wall.. any ideas, guys? Thank you 😊
Not that I would have my woman doing this work when I could do it, but this is so attractive when a woman is willing and capable.
great job. a little effort can get alot done

Looks amazing!
