2017 Mazda 6 I just purchased a Doorman control arm. There is an Orange tag saying do not fully tighten bushing bolts until vehicle is at ride height to avoid premature bushing wear. Should be fun to try and tighten bolts with the car on the ground.
What you should do is, while the car is supported by jack stand, use a floor jack and lift it on the outer side end of the lower control arm (9:55 on this video, under that bolt) until the body of the car started to slightly raise up to simulate the neutral position of the suspension when the car has wheels and is on the road. Then tighten the control arm bolt to spec. Sometimes you can use the same method when you attach the upper control arm, rear shock and front strut especially the wishbone suspension. The car in this video at 8:24, it's okay, no need to jack it up. But at 8:44 it has to be jacked up. If you tighten it without jacking the bushing will be twisted before the car even moves.
Thank you and excellent work. Where is your workshop? I am in Saudi Arabia as well and i want to do major maintenance on my mazda 6. I see you are professional and expert in ypur field.
thank you brother for watching my videos im here also in dammam saudi but the problem,im go now for exit thats why i cannot promise to meet you. Thanks you so much again brother i appreciated to watching my videos.
Sry I don't speak your language, maybe there is something different with mazda but most lower arm screws have to be fixed when the car stands on the wheels, so that you geth shure the "rubber unit" isn't always in tension when the car is just standing. But I think you are more expert in this. - I replaced mine twice... (the first one had bad quality -> cheap shit) Mazda 6 2013 - 105.000
Correct. Final torque should be set with the suspension loaded. Or like in this video.. just grab a long pipe and tighten till you decide to stop.. torque on the rear bushing bolt is 156 ft/lbs too.. impact socket and a big 1/2" torque wrench required.
That was a ton of goop. Agreed, anti seize will do just fine. For bigger bolts like LCA bolts, I clean them up real good with a wire wheel and put them back bare. Aside from that, great video. This has got to be one of the easiest LCAs to replace, no tranny or other components in the way.

Wow ganun pala yun now ko lang nalaman

do you have the torque specs for the control arm bolts?

What were you undoing at the end
great video! can you upload English subtitles??
Do NOT lube bolts ever. The friction between the threads at torque is completely necessary and the lube reduces that. Use anti seize instead.

What is the name of the part?
