Thank you very much for this video! It did help me a lot as I could not find instructions how to calibrate my machine. As always your videos are very professionally done and very well explained!
Aloha Nick, Funny, I did a review of the P7000 before I had to calibrate it and I mentioned how easy it is to calibrate the machine by inserting the screwdriver into that hole on the side of the machine. Oh well, other than that, it's an excellent machine!
Thanks for the useful tips! Where can I find that spacer you use in some of your videos-the one that keeps the starting clamp off of the frame? Keep up the great content!
Naoki...I made a few very easily using 1/2/ inch PVC pipe and rubber table leg protectors (available on Amazon). I made several at different lengths for different applications.
Aloha Naoki, I'm glad you find the tips useful. Here's the link that I included on that video I did with the Offset Tube. It's $20 for a set of two. Or, you can make your own as Ralph suggested. For that rubber piece that goes on one end, you can use an old bicycle rubber inner tube if you have one lying around. Aloha Nic, On my previous Babolat Star 4 machine, I used Hoppe's gun oil, then later Crown Slix-It 6% silicone spray. Ever since I got my Prince machine, I just use 91% isopropyl alcohol. It slides easy enough and I would rather have the clamp bases be secure and avoid any kind of drawback.
Aloha SriTeja, Yes, it comes with another set of billiards and string clamps used to accommodate badminton racquets. Unfortunately, Prince is no longer manufacturing this machine, and would be difficult to find one brand new. 🤙
Hi Albert, I tried to calibrate my P7000 by removing the display panel to expose the small golden screw as you have suggested in the video. When I tried to match the number showing on the machine panel to the one showing on my calibrator by turning the screw, the number on the machine did not change. Can you tell me how to match the numbers please? Thank you...
Aloha Raid, You do have to turn the screw at least one rotation before you notice a difference in the reading. Is your tension head pulling too high or too low? And by how much?
@@AMstringing Hi Albert, I have turned the screw several rotations to see if the number on the machine panel will change, but it didn't. Normally, turning the calibration screw will cause the number on the machine panel to increase or decrease to match the number on the calibrator, but not on the P7000. So I did it the other way around. I started turning the screw blindly and continued to pul tension several times on my calibrator until the number on the calibrator came close to the number on the machine. My tension head was pulling about 1.5 pounds too low. The trial and error method I used made my tension head pull 0.5 pounds higher, and I couldn't adjust it any further, so I left it at that. I am really interested to know about you calibration experience on your P7000
Aloha, I've never had that problem in the 6+ years I've owned my machine. As demonstrated in this video, the only cleaning solution I use is isopropyl alcohol. The three areas of the string clamp include the bottom of the base, the rails, and the teeth. Just wondering, do you keep your machine inside the house, or is it in a garage or somewhere exposed to outdoor elements?
Many thanks for your prompt response. No, my machine is in a room with a controlled environment. The only element exposure it gets is when I air out the room.

Great video -very helpful. What kind of lubricant, if any, do you use on the surface of your table, so that the clamps can glide easily?

hi there!! Could you tell me if you know the approximate weight of the machine?
Aloha Hernan, Its weight is listed as 95 pounds.
