30:41 - 31:20 You got me on the wisdom part. Perfectly said! In the Qur'an, Allah informs us of something quite similar to what you mentioned. I felt the urge to share this because you've demonstrated your alignment with your natural intellectual instincts. This is not something to be taken for granted, because many people would rather trade wisdom for fleeting material things.
You're very inspirational and I enjoy watching your videos. Above all, I highly appreciate your honesty and strong criticism of aspects of the human personality and life. Here's the verse:
He gives wisdom to whom He wills, and whoever has been given wisdom has certainly been given much good. And none will remember except those of understanding.
    [AL-Baqarah, verse 269]
And here it is in Arabic for any fellow Arabic-speaking viewers:
    یُؤۡتِی ٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ مَن یَشَاۤءُۚ وَمَن یُؤۡتَ ٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ فَقَدۡ أُوتِیَ خَیۡرࣰا كَثِیرࣰاۗ وَمَا یَذَّكَّرُ إِلَّاۤ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلۡأَلۡبَـٰبِ
    [سورة البقرة ، الآية 269]

For those with Fe inferior such as myself, I would suggest studying culture and ethics to develop it. CSJ mentioned that moving to another country and forcing yourself to learn their language would help this kind of growth immensely. But for those of you who are not ready for that kind of leap, even moving to a different town or living in something like a dorm would be highly beneficial. I would also suggest volunteering for something that involves servicing a variety of people. Basically, anything that challenges you to live in someone else's shoes would be worthwhile (especially for INTPs - servicing others in need is the fastest way to develop your ESFJ subconscious).
As for ethics, you could learn a lot from the great philosophers, or even professional guidelines of ethics (ex: the ACA code of ethics) might yield some fruitful insights.

    • @justmonique82

This is good advice. It’s similar to inferior Se. I moved to a new city, I’ve volunteered and I’ve become all around more conscious of my surroundings and the diverse people in my surroundings. I’ve also come to the conclusion that inferior Se will always feel like moving in water. I’ll always be hyper aware of every physical move I make but that’s ok because I NEED to be hyper aware of the information in my surroundings.

True enough, humility has propelled my career to greater heights than my skills. Being a perfectionist made me feel like nothing can break my plans and strategies and i found soon that my superiority complex took me nowhere near my goals.
It was a long process to be humble at work. I even survived a job that tossed and turned my confidence in many ways! Brought my a level of anxiety i never knew i would have. But it was a process I had to go through to further myself. I was exactly where I should be.

I work in a very Se demanding profession, so I've had been forced develop my Se for a while now. After watching this video on the subconscious I started making a conscious effort to let my unconscious take over. I think I've been able to do it twice. Most INTJ's know what it's like to enter their flow state. It's like that.... but you also run an emotional high, that makes it so interruptions don't cause you to break down. My best experience in my subconscious was about 8 hours long, and carried me through one of the busiest days this quarter. Everyone was emotionally frayed, and ready to snap but for some reason I was able to skate above it all. Putting out fires as I went. Additionally, after a full 8 hours of "human" I wasn't socially drained at all. It was surreal. Just wanted to say THANK YOU! This really is a huge epiphany for me, and a massive step towards becoming my best self.

You work that elder wand, Chase! You look very Voldemort-ish! Not menacing, but very cool with suave!
Well, I’m an INTJ female, always very emotionally controlled and living in my Ego function all the time. But I realize that the times when I was most happy was when I just didn’t overthink, when I just experienced it, which were few and far in between. I agree that when I tap in my subconsious, I am most happy. It takes me back to when I still a child, probably when my ego was still not developed - before life hit me. I think that my ego was developed to help me survive and adapt, but I’ve always relied on my ego and have been feeling a lot empty these past few months.
Recently, I experienced an awakening, and decided that I was just more than what my “ego” decides me to be. I started to just do things. So instead of think-say-do, I reversed the process - I experience things first (Se) and decide on what I think about it after - and it feels so awesome! A month ago, I would never would have attempted freediving (I didn’t know how to swim), or kundalini yoga (never tried yoga, just a gym plan), or volunteer at a local charity. Now, I get to be a mermaid on weekends, I started baking, meditating daily, and not my INTJ ego self and I still feel good (but a lot more "well rounded"?). So yes, it can help you be more “mindful” and “aware” leading to enlightenment.
It’s so interesting to learn about depth psychology and merge it not only with Carl Jung but also spirituality and enlightenment. Thank you! I like these series!

Effort defeats itself. I have experienced this too. When I use my Ni hero to perform better. I just mess up. It's when I let go and stop thinking that I perform better.
But how can I continue to do this? Being triple movement, I believe it's difficult to stop thinking. Any solutions?

    • @fayea.4755
      @fayea.4755 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Shreyas For me, meditation helps a lot as I notice it helps quiet my mind. Kundalini yoga is especially effective for me. Also, I took away distractions such as Netflix/TV/Movies/FB after realizing they wouldn't really matter to me 3-5 years down the line. I had to sit down and have a meeting with myself (okay, that's weird). When my mind is open, a lot of a-ha moments seem to pop up and I try not to go to Te mode yet and just let the inspiration marinate.
A lot of introspection, journal writing (not a very emotional one as I still use tables when I think) but focusing on doing one thing that scares me every month. I just have to not think and do it! As an INTJ I like challenging myself a lot. 🤦🏻‍♀️

    • @MusicCrackhead
      @MusicCrackhead 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

Wow this is the case for me also. INTJ female here, I feel way more masculine and I’m sure it’s because I “live” in Ni (Ego) instead of Se (Subconscious). I’ve also been meditating a lot and dancing as exercise! Omg I love it! I feel so much more free and playful instead of obsessing over perfection. My ESFP aside is sooo playful and funny. People attract to me like flies to honey when I’m not robotically seeing pass them and judging them. I just need to learn to function in Se more naturally.

It's highly prevalent in our society (this is why there are labels on bags of cat litter warning pregnant women to not handle cat feces). Interesting Concepts presented in this video! As an INTJ male who has been told throughout his life that I can tend to act too feminine, this video gave me some things to theorize about as to whether its because my other two sides of my mind are feminine and growing up I had to go into other sides of my mind to be socially accepted by people. Like maybe it's just a product of being a music student in a culture that favors my subconscious making me aspire often, and maybe its the fact that my mother is an ISFP and I needed to be in ENTP unconscious to survive around her. Or maybe it's just a combination of multiple things. Lots to think about, Great video Keep it up!

“since type psychology isn’t technically a scientifically verified theory (yet) [yes i know psychology is a soft science since it is reliant on personal testimony in large part for its assessments of truth, unlike physics or chemistry] and that would be needed to show it is logically sound not just internally consistent (logically valid). Is there a statistical connection between interaction style gender and transgender percentage among a broad population?”

Ayyee!! Yes!! This season continues with another banger CS Joseph. I absolutely love this, these lectures always give me motivation to keep learning and growing. Keep this up my guy :)
And on the point of masculinity and femininity, It’s funny because before I knew of the masculine & feminine side of the mind theory, when I did some people watching of my own (Se parent habit), I’ve generally have noticed that starters and behind the scene types give of a more feminine “vibe” than the other two. Or the lesser “mature” (I’ll call them that for now; not sure if that label is true) ones would overcompensate by going all Conor Mcgreger, alpha male on your ass. But you could tell that it was an “act” or “facade”, or atleast I could. Not saying they all do that, but it’s something I’ve seen from time to time, so I would subscribe more to the interaction style theory than the more linear sides of the mind theory. It makes more sense to me, but I’m just an average people watching Joe. It may have to do with informative v. direct, tbh but Idk. It’s still interesting.

Great lecture, but actually this is not what I expected. I thought you would give advices differently for each personality types how to activate, strengthen their unconscious side of mind.I am an Sri Lankan INTP and I know my unconscious personality type is ENTJ. If I learn about ENTJ's ego and embrace their qualities and behaviors to my day to day life, will it make myself more mature, will it make my pessimistic Unconscious personality be more synced with my positive ego to create a perfect order for my life to achieve the success?????? And I also love ENTJ's qualities ,Extraverted practical behaviors and I definitely wanna be more like them. I wanna be an ENTJ when I want to be practical ,organized and extraverted to create amazing systems in real world ,to argue with ppl, accomplish my goals, bring my internal frameworks to the real world using my Ti hero. Thanks for your support ❤️

I always imagined the subconscious as a tree from which sweet fruit (wisdom) can be plucked and the unconscious as a dragon that must be fought to acquire a treasure (maturity). Obviously, the masculine strategy is to take the challenge of the dragon for the clear reward, being unaware of how plucking fruit can be rewarding (since it's an indirect reward). The female strategy, however, is that of exploration and initiation.

Chase, thanks to me rewatching this video, and your uncconscios, critic and nemesis videos a few times, I have come to the conclusion that I was wrong when I previously assumed I was unconscious focused, and that I'm rather more likely to be subconscious or even ego focused.
But I am extremely hungry for some unconscious development, as I am sick of being immature, hypocritical, and unwise. I have also realised that developing the unconscious is the first step in... well, a 'shortcut' to development and self improvement. (Yes, another INTJ shortcut). Right now at this moment, this is probably the thing I desire most in life.
What I have realised, and what I mean by a 'shortcut', is that since developing the more pessimistic functions promotes the most growth in other cognitive functions via axis and orbit, this would make the critic and demon the ideal cognitive functions to develop for overall growth as they are the most pessimistic. But since the demon is so damn hard to develope because we have basically no cognitive awareness of it by default, it is probably better to start by developing the nemesis to grow awarness of the demon a little via cognitive axis first.
So as a result I concluded that the nemesis and the critic are the best functions to start developing for fastest overall growth, and of course they essentially represent the unconscious, being the hero and parent of the unconscious and all.
Anyway, I have already watched your videos on developing the unconscious (apart from your membership ones) and already know more or less what is required or what it means to develope the unconscious. Hard work, humility, a more critical hero and parent such. But what I'm struggling to see with my Se and Te, is what the general sort of 'mindset' that a transition into ENTP unconscious would 'look' like or 'feel' like. I can already identify when I've transitioned into my subconscious, as this has a particular 'feel' to it, and my personality seems to change in a way that I just know by looking at my actions that I'm in my ESFP subconscious, but I cant seem to get the same feeling for my ENTP unconscious...
I was wondering if you have any tips for me on this... Like, what does ENTP unconscious actually 'look' like? And how do I know how to properly implement 'humility' into my life for unconscious development?

I think it's an interesting idea you have regarding transgenderism. I didn't make any statistics about this, but from a logical point of view, I would say, the orientation of the type on its own isn't enough, but if you combine this nature with a specific kind of nurture f. e. people saying that this isn't how gender xy behaves, this could be a thing. How I imagine interactiontype and its orientation its more something other people perceive and not something you feel intrinsically.

Lol, I'm an INTP so apparently I'm double feminine (INTP ego plus ESFJ subconscious). I don't know if INTPs can be feminine because they are such thinkers although I do see how Ne could be considered feminine. An INTP's Esfj subconscious is definitely feminine and I'm kind of embarrassed to use it tbh. It is enjoyable though because I love gossip and emotional stuff. My ENTJ unconscious is definitely masculine and I think I use it to be responsible and to take charge. I guess I'm relatively young when considering Jungian psychology (I'm 22), but I never really have any ISFP moments which is my superego. I don't think I ever use Fi or Se unless I'm really distressed. Lastly, I don't think there are many Intp males that become trans because I think most male to female transgenders are feeling types. I will say though that STPs and Estjs like to tell INTP males to "man up".

Regarding trans - ESTPs and ISTPs seem to be far more likely to embody the extremes of their gender. An extreme male gender is one which actively conceals emotions from the majority of people, so such people are less likely to communicate to their resident MBTI practitioner such concerns. There's also the fact that these two individuals who are more likely to 'put on a show' of gendered expression and cling more eagerly to a gender extreme are going to be in relative denial of any such gender dysphoria - with this in mind I consider it more than likely that a lack of perceived gender-dilemma's in such individuals is due to the behaviour these types exhibit rather than any one type being a different gender to another.

I was thinking about this and it’s interesting how the idealist types are triple masculine, while the intellectual types are triple feminine...yet, the NF’s normally have a really hard time handling the truths the NT’s dish out. I guess masculinity by your concept would be specific to physical demeanor/presentation?
It doesn’t appear that truth is a factor at all in any of these distinctions...most developed XNTP’s would stick by their principles, and developed XNTJ’s also hold strong to their rational convictions. I like where this is all heading but I still think we’re missing something.

You have to experience different schools to see the difference. Plus, different senseis teach very very very differently: many emphasize repetitious drills, but others eschew drills altogether.
