Circus used to have a decent poker parlor in the front of the casino. Played there a lot when stayed at the Riviera across the street and down a little
Actually no it didn’t rlly smell at all. I went there like 2times this week and it was fun:) I’d totally recommend going there for the rides. I heard the rooms weren’t in the best condition
I served cocktails there in my early 20s. One of my 1st jobs. It was an experience. The girls were older and so mean to me. Only one lady was so nice. I can't remember her name but still have a small statue she gave me. It's true. You can't remember the person but you never forget the feeling.
Don't go there if you only have one or two kids, If you got a whole bunch, bring the crew, this way if you lose one or two, it won't upset the family dynamics as much.
I remember I had the best omelette of my life in circus circus as a kid. It was so simple. Eggs, American cheese, and onion. And yet I am still thinking about it 20 years later.
We have stayed there 2 times over the years travelling with the kids from Australia and Midway is so much fun, and we still talk about the omelette station, absolutely awesome.
My fam and I would go to Circus Circus solely for the Adventuredome and their arcade. The thought of staying in the hotel felt weird and now I know why.
In 1974 I was in Circus Circus with my parents. I watched ladies riding on animals hanging from the ceiling and moving around the big top. And on the Midway there was an attraction where you packed into a little room and watched a man turn into a gorilla, and then broke through the bars chasing everyone out screaming. It was very surreal and scary.
Most hotels are still charging those fees even though their pools and gyms are closed "due to covid ". Ran into the same at 2 hotels in Florida, one in Hawaii and one in Chicago all in January 2021.

But there is no enforcement even the governor said their isn't a mammary he isn't enforcing it or fining anyone for not wearing it. Circus Circus is one of the last of the large scale traditional classic Casinos. It was also one of the first to push families into a casino. The midway is actually one of the oldest theme attractions for a Vegas Casino, the themepark area itself behind the casino was built much later in the 90s during the family entertainment failure era of Vegas after it tried to distance away from its mob golden age. I grew up going here 2x a year on family vacations, I used to think it was so magical. The good old days where my Dad would walk me & my cousins to the adventuredome, buy our wristbands, hand us pocket money, then leave us be & say he’ll be with my mom in the poker room (when they had a dedicated room). Even as a teen/ young adult I wouldn’t mind staying at Circus Circus because it meant something deeper to my parents, & Uber made everything easier lol... as an adult it’s nostalgic for me to visit each time I’m in town to remember my dad & honor his tradition, no matter how run down it is! ♥️🙏🏽 I know I’m not the only one who has nostalgic ties to this casino, right?!
We would take our son for many many years when he was little.. Vegas was his home away from home he said... Like you, we would check him into the Adventuredome give him spending money, and hubby and I would be playing slots.. Over the years we would stop in and see how the place is doing.. We were there over labor day and my son wanted to stay there.. He's 25 yrs old now.. He was like "wow how things have changed"
Growing up, I would also have family vacations in Vegas. My fondest memory of one trip was Circus Circus. It seemed like everything was under construction and everywhere we tried to go was closed - except the Adventure Dome. For being a summer vacation, there were literally no lines for the rides. My best friend was able to join us that trip so we spent the entire day playing Laser Tag, going on rides and having fun just being a kid. In fact, I think we had a much better time there than later in the trip when we went to Disney in CA.
Chicken in the Pot was my favorite as we had a coupon which gave us 6 chickens for the price of three. I had the game dialed in as I could get 5 out 6 chickens in the pot.

My mom and grandparents did the same left me and my older sister there and they went to gambled or whatever they did we won so many stuffed animal fishes good times when I was a kid
Circus circus represented freedom for me. It was the one place my parents would just let me go do whatever I wanted so long as I check into the room every few hours. The arcade was the best!
Same here. Spent many-a-weekend there. A blessing and a curse living a 4½ hour drive away, lol. Was more of a blessing on my 21st but it can get old quick if one lets it.

Hi it was scheduled redeveloped for around 2010. I am design build professional. The firm I worked developed the scheme. But when the market crashed in Vegas in never came back to life. It would have been great project.
In the 80s my friends mom would take us to circus circus on his bday every year to play in the midway and watch the trapeze acts.my mom used to give me $5 to play with and that would last all day lol.those were the days

I'm going to really show my age here. CC was the very first casino I ever went in to. It was in November 1969, and I was 9 at the time. The place opened in 1968. Now I'm 60, and it's still there... Amazing. 😉
@@RealLifeFinance I just remembered something else that's kind of interesting. When it first opened, there was just the casino but no hotel rooms. I believe it was 2 or 3 years after it opened, that they finally finished the hotel part.

Stratosphere hotel has an amusement park on top of the hotel, ny ny also has arcade games and roller coaster. M&m store is also in a casino and kid friendly. Their are kid friendly shows such as blue man group and popovich show. There’s a play ground in Fremont and other things kids can do like go to wet n wild , cowabunga bay park, fashion square mall, museums, dig this, tournament of the kings dinner show, magic shows, dolphin habitat, iffel tower experience, gondola rides, sight seeing bus tour, etc there’s so many attractions in the many hotels that kids can do and that are fun and engaging. There are other places outside of circus circus

My family used to frequent Circus circus when I was young. I was kidnapped at circus circus when I was 9 by a serial child molester from the arcade when my parents looked away for a minute. I was taken out to a back ally and thank goodness a couple reported the abduction before worse abuse had occurred, but I agree that circus circus security is lacking. Predators know Circus circus is where they can find young children to snatch up. Go at your own risk and always keep VERY close eye on your kids here.
Man, I remember when my dad used to take us to Vegas, we went from the Motel 6 by McCarran to Circus Circus. To my siblings and I, it was a major step up, and we felt like a million bucks. When I visited recently for all times sake, I seriously thought I had stepped into South Central LA. It’s a shame how rundown it has become.
Watch your back as soon as you get out of your car.. they are there waiting for you.. like cockroaches. Any place they offer free parking the cockroaches are smoking weed and waiting for there chance to jack you. Vegas is now full of so many cockroaches..I wish the Mob would take it back over.
My memory of Circus Circus was that my mother (who passed in 2019) went to the casino and at the time they had a circus tent that would do a circus act every 30 minutes. The aerialist/acrobats were called the Gomez Family and we rightly guessed they spoke Spanish. We would go and gamble and come back every 30 minutes because they would do different tricks each time. After a few rounds of us going to the front to watch them they noticed us and started speaking to us is Spanish. They were very nice and appreciated that we were impressed with their skill. We stayed for a few more rounds where they continued to talk to us and when we finally had to leave said formal goodbyes to them. It was very nice. Also (not sure I can explain this well enough so you can understand) I saw a feat of strength I've never seen duplicated . One man out his hand out without any support and far away from his body and another full grown man did a hand stand on that guy's hand. Try supporting even a small weight with your hand out fully away from your body for more than a few seconds, then imagine supporting a grown man in that hand.
I had to stay there once due to availability and a last minute trip. Circus Circus is definitely a "Get What You Pay For" hotel. When you walk in the lobby you quickly know what happened to all the Allegiant passengers that were on the plane with you. If you have a problem with cigarette smoke, your eyes will burn for 3 days afterwards. Surprisingly THE Steak House at Circus is one of the best in the city. It was outstanding!

This hotel just shows that Vegas has something for everyone. We stayed here a few times as kids and we loved it. Considering it was literally one of the cheapest places on the strip, we has so many hours of entertainment for the price. Yes it's old and not as glamorous as other newer or more expensive resorts...but I would be sad to see it go

I have been to Circus Circus many times in the 1980's and always loved their breakfast buffet for $2.99 each. The buffet was massive with lots of good delicious food. Your video shows Circus Circus as creepy and it seems like it is the end of the world in Las Vegas and I was expecting zombies to jump out and eat you at any time.
Back in 1988, my friends and I got 86ed from Circus Circus. But as a teenager, we would hang out on the midway on Friday nights. One night, the Navy basketball team was in town, I might guess for a game and David Robinson tripped over my foot on the midway. Fun memories. And that was way before the Adventure Dome.
I married my husband here at the chapel of the foundation 20 years ago lol! We decided to get married last minute and Circus Circus was the only place that ended up having a cancellation so we went here. We said we’d have another ceremony but we never did.

I just happened to come across this TH-cam video. Years ago, when my wife was pregnant, I took off from our Hotel at the Flamingo Hilton and started walking one evening.. Ended up Downtown. I took the Bus back to the Flamingo and every bum and their sister was on the Bus. Got off at Cesar's Palace across the street to see some Wino in the bushes. Yes, the great Las Vegas... 😉 Been there actually a number of times.. It's definitely something you need to experience. Stay towards the South end of the Strip...

I was there a few weeks ago and it was packed. We arrived during the week it was quiet, Friday afternoon BOOM everyone showed up. And once people start drinking they believe covid is over and masks are unnecessary 😒😬
@Lezbnlvr36 As a kid i actually stayed overnight a few times in a huge cemetery, my uncle was the head groundskeeper and that's when it was part of the perks to have a free house to live in. That house is long abandoned and my uncle is long gone but it was fun in a creepy sort of way

I went to Vegas for the first time 2 years ago. I stayed at the Strat(Stratosphere), so I passed by Circus Circus multiple times when going to the strip. I was using Uber/Lyft to get around. When I'm getting a ride, I like to talk to the drivers. Just ask them about Vegas, recommendations, advice for Vegas, etc. And literally about 5 different drivers advised me and my group not to go to Circus Circus and to never stay there lol.
When we lived in Vegas, I always took my son here and to Treasure Island. They always had deals for the locals. Used to buy him a wrist band on half off Tuesdays and we would spend half the day there. Good times.
I just love it because last week when you were in Reno everyone was dissing the city of how empty and dead it was. Doesn't look much different there in vegas.
Reno is an acquired taste. I love it because it's gritty. I'm a blue-collar guy at heart. To me, Reno has soul. Love Vegas too, but it's very "Hollywood" ... to me, Reno is more real, more down-to-earth gambling. I love it, warts and all. Then I spend a few days in Tahoe, drive to Carson City and Virginia city, drive around the entire lake at least once, stopping for breakfast at local places. To each their own, but I love both, Reno and Vegas. They're just entirely different beasts, and I love them both.
As you know Reno is pretty slow in the winter, and Covid made things worse. I was in Reno about the 1st week of December and it was unusually dead there. I live in Sacramento so I can go to Reno once in awhile especially since the Grand Sierra always sends me free night offers. After 4 days in Reno I went to Las vegas and it was probably 25% of the normal winter tourism.

I’ve been to Vegas too many times to count , BUT I did go to Reno and stay at the Sands BEFORE I ever went to Las Vegas! And I live equidistant from both Vegas and Reno haha. About 5 hours drive from me. I’m in California central coast so it’s like perfect half way

The walk between the Sands Regency to the silver legacy I would call it the running of the gauntlet haha but it has been cleaned up some. I remember my 1st time at the Sands and early morning train going by waking me up. But they have put those under ground so much better. So many changes to both cities. I just hope they both survive covid times. Thanks for the comment.
My parents took me here when I was pretty young about 20 years ago and I remember having a blast. Even Disneyland used to be so much fun. Now as an adult however, I could never see myself taking my kids here. We literally plan our vacations around camping in National Parks with good hikes, paddle boarding, biking around the nicer city parks in town and snowboarding in the winter months. Like with the exception of the winter resorts, all these things are wayyyy cheaper/borderline free than an extended stay in Las Vegas or a theme park in SoCal. To top it all off, my kids can get as crazy as they want outside without having to corral them like when you’re waiting in line for rides, or having to ask them to behave because we’re indoors.
We are doing both this trip- went to Zion and Yellowstone, then Circus Circus! 🎪 kids love it all! Pro tip - if and when your kiddo is in 4th grade, they get a free pass to all the National Parks (we did that this year). Makes it even more affordable to explore 💗
But can you gamble, drink and enjoy world class food in the natl parks? Sorry Vegas is for adults. Leave the kiddies with grandma and take 'em to the Waterpark when you get back.
It breaks my heart to see how nearly empty it was! No casino is fun when when no ones there & masks are worn! Fortunately, I have fond memories of going to Circus-Circus when crowds were big & things were NORMAL!!!
@Emily Rockefeller possibly for some, but many people like being in big crowds and really miss it. Who doesn't love to people watch or share an experience. Like going to a concert - sure, it would be awesome to have a band perform just for you, but its also awesome to go and be with others, often strangers, who are enjoying it with you.
@@jopan1363 Yes. Various casinos were used in scenes of the movie. What was called the " Whyte House " , was done outside at Las Vargas Hilton, and inside at Caesars Palace.

So, I am 54 years old and I have been going to Vegas since I was 16, and back then the Circus Circus Casino was a run down old, Dirty, Dangerous place to venture into. I went back in 2008, and it was really scary. You are a real trooper for, one: Staying at that hotel " Alone " two: Making such impartial and polite comments about the Hotel/Casino. That shows that you are a very mature and respectful person. Great video, keep it up but, Don't go back there to that Casino without a Bulletproof Vest! lol
Still good the steak house ? I have not been there in 35 years !! Used to be amazing. But yeah ... valet park , don’t hang around outside .. at least it was that way in the old days
I don’t know when you were a kid, but it’s been a major dump for many decades. Sometimes kids don’t notice those things. In the 80’s when I was a child, I saw a pimp give his Ho a real old school beat-down right in front of the entrance. Security came out and broke it up, but the police were not called and nothing happened to the guy. His woman was all bloody and wobbly and nobody did anything to help her. That’s the Image that comes to mind when I think of Circus Circus. Good Times.

Security seems to be ramped up MAJORLY since the Mandalay massacre. but yes all the "old vegas" clubs have been shit holes with the exception of NYNY i think is still very nice. Nowadays its the Aria, Caesars is still nice, Resort World, MGM, MGM Parkway, Delano, Trump and the Palms, all extremely nice clubs and not even on Las Vegas Blvd.

Wow, $62 for that room (which did not look bad, in my opinion), including Resort Fees, and Taxes. I can't imagine that anyone could find a room cheaper then that in Vegas. And he did say the place has a lot of Security, so that would be good to know.

Straight nasty! However low the price is, don't pay it - you're better than that! And now that it's ground zero for visiting Raiders fans, good luck! Too bad really, one of Vegas' better steak houses for average people, The Steak House has been a great value for like 30 years! Two for one Coronas on the front bar by parking is pretty awesome too, and if you're reasonably fit, from that local have a good chance of escaping the gun fire! Has definitely earned my, Fire in the Hole rating!
I've stayed at the Circus Circus a couple of times in the last 6 months, the staff are very friendly, it is an older hotel/casino, since it is one of the last ones from way back. We had no security issues while we were here. We actually had a great time and it was a really good deal for the price.
I've stayed at Circus Circus twice, I'm not overly cheap but don't like spending a tin on rooms. When your in Vegas your only in the room long enough to sleep shower and depends who your with sex, rest of the time your out sightseeing or gambling, why spend a lot of money in your room to basically store your suitcase.. but that's me. Also Exailber has Krispy Kreme
John Siegfried I have always felt the same way about hotel rooms. Just a place to crash and have a bath. Then leave . Never liked the idea of sleeping on a mattress that thousands of others have slept on before me.
Stayed there back in the early 90's. My brother and I ventured into the "adults only" (casino) area. We were promptly ushered back to the children's area... While Mom and Dad just watched and laughed. Lololol. Good times.
Great memories taking my kid there when he was younger in the early 2000’s. Family trips, take them while you can and just enjoy them. Kids grow up fast and you don’t get it back.
I agree. I took my kids there as well. Around that same time period.We got the bands for the girls and let them go have fun. Why their Dad and I had fun. We did walk around and check out the place doing the family thing. It is such great memories.🥰
Circus Circus will always be in my memories when I was younger .. Only because my parents sent me out if the hotel room at 5:30 am in the morning to go get coffee .. I told them that I would pay extra for room service .. My mother told me just go to the coffee shop & get the coffee .. As I walked through the empty casino .. While waiting in line waiting for the coffee shop to open up .. I thought of ways to get back at them .. Ipecac, Eye Drops, Liquid Soap, Poison, Spit .. I’m in Vegas Baby .. I’d have to look for a store to open up at 6:00 am .. So I decided that I would drink my coffee & let theirs get cold .. Then bring it back to the hotel room .. While sitting at the outside coffee table watching the people walking by .. I suddenly had this .. “Epiphany” : A sudden moment of revelation & insight .. of why my mother & father wanted me out so early .. Yuck!
Be glad you didnt wake up from strange noises coming from the direction they were supposed to be sleeping in. Never happened to me but I bet there are lots of adults with scars left by such experiences

I asked him are you sure ? .. He looked at the door number & he said it’s the same number .. I told him your joking with me .. He told me he wasn’t .. He thought I got “Lucky” so he left .. I wished she would have stayed .. My 2nd time in Vegas .. I was winning enough for rooms, food & expensive all night girlfriends ..
I was just there if February things were slow and extremely dirty!! The casino wasn’t paying out but they offered vouchers to come back 😂 there is one spot you gotta check out it’s the air brush guy his art is insane!
When I was little my family would go to circus circus once or twice a year, I would only see my dad randomly when we were walking through the casino or the morning we were going home 😂 that arcade held some of my favorite memories as a kid
Yeah man , Circus Circus is like that one Uncle who did time back in the day, but he's older now and reliving his childhood dreams but he's still hangs around some dangerous people. We all know he means well, and we love him so we take the family to visit once every couple years.

This brings back memories of my childhood. I would play at midway upstairs trying to win some stuff animal. My parents would gamble downstairs at the turning carousel. Fun memories.
I used to go to LV at least once a year for 2 weeks at a time from 2000-2018. Stayed at this place, Bellagio, TI, Encore, Paris, Bally's, MGM, Flamingo, and did the International Contortion Conventions always held at Sunset Station in Henderson. Saw more Vegas shows than I can list, ate tons of incredible food from one end of the strip to the other. Stayed/hung out at Bellagio more than any others. Tons of great experiences and memories from LV. Probably can't ever get back. I love your videos Pompsie, they bring it all back for me as much as my own pics and videos. Every time I would spend a ridiculous amount of time walking the entire strip, sometimes till my feet literally blistered in my shoes! But I loved every minute of it. Once had a gold-wearing rapper with his entourage offer me 8grand cash for my 1978 Caddy Eldo 2-tone Custom Classic in the front valet area of the Wynn but turned him down. Your videos make it all feel like yesterday. Thanks man.

Just got back from Vegas yesterday. Wished I would've seen this first. We stayed at Circus Circus... for only 7 hours 😆 We got in at 2:30am & just needed a place to rest a bit with the kids before checking into the Strat. Saw horrible reviews for Circus, and the one about bugs just topped it. The bathroom was disgusting - urine all over the back of the toilet with pubes all over the tub/floor. Safe didn't work. The also gave us a booked room, thankfully our key didn't work & we heard people talking... walking into someone's room at 230am could've gone bad. New sub & looking forward to watching some of your other reviews, before going back. Oh & to note: We brought our kids to Vegas bc we originally were only going to Reno, for our son to meet his family on dad's side. Decided to stop at the last second. My 17 year old is pretty responsible and offers great baby sitting rates, so we could visit casinos at night. Definitely had fun & returning for spring break!

Lol the little girl comes outta me every time. I would suggest that if you book there, you ask for the renovated side unless you're an old fashion person. Either way there's something there for everyone! Also AAA got us a really sweet cheap 3 day package with Air and Hotel. I paid around $580.00 for 3 people. Booked it literally 5 days before the trip. Talkin bout good times! 😊
A friend of my daughter was one of the victims who was shot & killed during the Country Western Concert. I dont even want to mention the name of the Demon who shot all those innocent people from his hotel room at Mandalay Bay🤬. My daughter & her husband were supposed to go but they ended up unable to so I believe God had a hand in that. Worst hotel/casino in Vegas. Last time I went was in 2018 and it was overcrowded and smelled of stale cigarettes. The bathroom door in my room didn't close. The iron and blow dryer didn't work. And most importantly, I got my car broken into within the 1st 30 minutes of getting there. Fun times!
I usually ended up staying there. The cost was down, and the Midway was pretty sweet even as an adult. Looks a little abandoned because of covid. I'd just say don't get a manor room, get a tower room and you'll be fine. It's decent.
lol it was pretty sketchy by the end of the 80's, I can only imagine what it's like now. But Vegas has something for everyone and Circus Circus is basically the place to go if you want the cheap "carny" vibe for your stay, not begrudging anyone their good time if that's their good time.

I served cocktails there in my early 20s. One of my 1st jobs. It was an experience. The girls were older and so mean to me. Only one lady was so nice. I can't remember her name but still have a small statue she gave me. It's true. You can't remember the person but you never forget the feeling.

I remember I had the best omelette of my life in circus circus as a kid. It was so simple. Eggs, American cheese, and onion. And yet I am still thinking about it 20 years later.
Same here, breakfast was my favorite.
We have stayed there 2 times over the years travelling with the kids from Australia and Midway is so much fun, and we still talk about the omelette station, absolutely awesome.

In 1974 I was in Circus Circus with my parents. I watched ladies riding on animals hanging from the ceiling and moving around the big top. And on the Midway there was an attraction where you packed into a little room and watched a man turn into a gorilla, and then broke through the bars chasing everyone out screaming. It was very surreal and scary.
And in a James Bond movie as well. Diamonds are forever.
The pools are closed, the gyms are closed, yet they still are charging a resort fee.
Pools are closed because it is the winter. I was there in September and most pools were open.

Circus Circus is one of the last of the large scale traditional classic Casinos. It was also one of the first to push families into a casino. The midway is actually one of the oldest theme attractions for a Vegas Casino, the themepark area itself behind the casino was built much later in the 90s during the family entertainment failure era of Vegas after it tried to distance away from its mob golden age.

I grew up going here 2x a year on family vacations, I used to think it was so magical. The good old days where my Dad would walk me & my cousins to the adventuredome, buy our wristbands, hand us pocket money, then leave us be & say he’ll be with my mom in the poker room (when they had a dedicated room). Even as a teen/ young adult I wouldn’t mind staying at Circus Circus because it meant something deeper to my parents, & Uber made everything easier lol... as an adult it’s nostalgic for me to visit each time I’m in town to remember my dad & honor his tradition, no matter how run down it is! ♥️🙏🏽

Growing up, I would also have family vacations in Vegas. My fondest memory of one trip was Circus Circus. It seemed like everything was under construction and everywhere we tried to go was closed - except the Adventure Dome. For being a summer vacation, there were literally no lines for the rides. My best friend was able to join us that trip so we spent the entire day playing Laser Tag, going on rides and having fun just being a kid. In fact, I think we had a much better time there than later in the trip when we went to Disney in CA.

1987; my parents got married there. I won so many stuffed animals playing the games; we needed two trash bags to bring them home.
Chicken in the Pot was my favorite as we had a coupon which gave us 6 chickens for the price of three. I had the game dialed in as I could get 5 out 6 chickens in the pot.

Hi it was scheduled redeveloped for around 2010. I am design build professional. The firm I worked developed the scheme. But when the market crashed in Vegas in never came back to life. It would have been great project.

In the 80s my friends mom would take us to circus circus on his bday every year to play in the midway and watch the trapeze acts.my mom used to give me $5 to play with and that would last all day lol.those were the days

Stratosphere hotel has an amusement park on top of the hotel, ny ny also has arcade games and roller coaster. M&m store is also in a casino and kid friendly. Their are kid friendly shows such as blue man group and popovich show. There’s a play ground in Fremont and other things kids can do like go to wet n wild , cowabunga bay park, fashion square mall, museums, dig this, tournament of the kings dinner show, magic shows, dolphin habitat, iffel tower experience, gondola rides, sight seeing bus tour, etc there’s so many attractions in the many hotels that kids can do and that are fun and engaging. There are other places outside of circus circus

My family used to frequent Circus circus when I was young. I was kidnapped at circus circus when I was 9 by a serial child molester from the arcade when my parents looked away for a minute. I was taken out to a back ally and thank goodness a couple reported the abduction before worse abuse had occurred, but I agree that circus circus security is lacking. Predators know Circus circus is where they can find young children to snatch up. Go at your own risk and always keep VERY close eye on your kids here.
Man, I remember when my dad used to take us to Vegas, we went from the Motel 6 by McCarran to Circus Circus. To my siblings and I, it was a major step up, and we felt like a million bucks. When I visited recently for all times sake, I seriously thought I had stepped into South Central LA. It’s a shame how rundown it has become.

My memory of Circus Circus was that my mother (who passed in 2019) went to the casino and at the time they had a circus tent that would do a circus act every 30 minutes. The aerialist/acrobats were called the Gomez Family and we rightly guessed they spoke Spanish. We would go and gamble and come back every 30 minutes because they would do different tricks each time. After a few rounds of us going to the front to watch them they noticed us and started speaking to us is Spanish. They were very nice and appreciated that we were impressed with their skill. We stayed for a few more rounds where they continued to talk to us and when we finally had to leave said formal goodbyes to them. It was very nice. Also (not sure I can explain this well enough so you can understand) I saw a feat of strength I've never seen duplicated . One man out his hand out without any support and far away from his body and another full grown man did a hand stand on that guy's hand. Try supporting even a small weight with your hand out fully away from your body for more than a few seconds, then imagine supporting a grown man in that hand.

I had to stay there once due to availability and a last minute trip. Circus Circus is definitely a "Get What You Pay For" hotel. When you walk in the lobby you quickly know what happened to all the Allegiant passengers that were on the plane with you. If you have a problem with cigarette smoke, your eyes will burn for 3 days afterwards. Surprisingly THE Steak House at Circus is one of the best in the city. It was outstanding!
I thought they banned smoking wit the pandemic. Maybe that's only downtown or the strip. ??

This hotel just shows that Vegas has something for everyone. We stayed here a few times as kids and we loved it. Considering it was literally one of the cheapest places on the strip, we has so many hours of entertainment for the price. Yes it's old and not as glamorous as other newer or more expensive resorts...but I would be sad to see it go

I have been to Circus Circus many times in the 1980's and always loved their breakfast buffet for $2.99 each. The buffet was massive with lots of good delicious food. Your video shows Circus Circus as creepy and it seems like it is the end of the world in Las Vegas and I was expecting zombies to jump out and eat you at any time.

Back in 1988, my friends and I got 86ed from Circus Circus. But as a teenager, we would hang out on the midway on Friday nights. One night, the Navy basketball team was in town, I might guess for a game and David Robinson tripped over my foot on the midway. Fun memories. And that was way before the Adventure Dome.

I just happened to come across this TH-cam video. Years ago, when my wife was pregnant, I took off from our Hotel at the Flamingo Hilton and started walking one evening.. Ended up Downtown. I took the Bus back to the Flamingo and every bum and their sister was on the Bus. Got off at Cesar's Palace across the street to see some Wino in the bushes. Yes, the great Las Vegas... 😉 Been there actually a number of times.. It's definitely something you need to experience. Stay towards the South end of the Strip...

I never stayed in this hotel before, but I do like the arcade, games, the circus shows, and the amusement park rides.
It is one of the worst and most dangerous areas on the strip...not to mention their casino area smells like urine the last time I was there, ish!!!

I went to Vegas for the first time 2 years ago. I stayed at the Strat(Stratosphere), so I passed by Circus Circus multiple times when going to the strip. I was using Uber/Lyft to get around. When I'm getting a ride, I like to talk to the drivers. Just ask them about Vegas, recommendations, advice for Vegas, etc. And literally about 5 different drivers advised me and my group not to go to Circus Circus and to never stay there lol.
When we lived in Vegas, I always took my son here and to Treasure Island. They always had deals for the locals. Used to buy him a wrist band on half off Tuesdays and we would spend half the day there. Good times.
$2 for the room and $59 for the resort fee? The Circus in Reno is gangster central.

Reno is an acquired taste. I love it because it's gritty. I'm a blue-collar guy at heart. To me, Reno has soul. Love Vegas too, but it's very "Hollywood" ... to me, Reno is more real, more down-to-earth gambling. I love it, warts and all. Then I spend a few days in Tahoe, drive to Carson City and Virginia city, drive around the entire lake at least once, stopping for breakfast at local places. To each their own, but I love both, Reno and Vegas. They're just entirely different beasts, and I love them both.

As you know Reno is pretty slow in the winter, and Covid made things worse. I was in Reno about the 1st week of December and it was unusually dead there. I live in Sacramento so I can go to Reno once in awhile especially since the Grand Sierra always sends me free night offers. After 4 days in Reno I went to Las vegas and it was probably 25% of the normal winter tourism.

I’ve been to Vegas too many times to count , BUT I did go to Reno and stay at the Sands BEFORE I ever went to Las Vegas! And I live equidistant from both Vegas and Reno haha. About 5 hours drive from me. I’m in California central coast so it’s like perfect half way
@@805NAVE ahh nice! Love Vegas and Reno. Pretty much play video poker. Some slots. From Colorado don't get out there often as I would like. The walk between the Sands Regency to the silver legacy I would call it the running of the gauntlet haha but it has been cleaned up some. I remember my 1st time at the Sands and early morning train going by waking me up. But they have put those under ground so much better. So many changes to both cities. I just hope they both survive covid times. Thanks for the comment.
My parents took me here when I was pretty young about 20 years ago and I remember having a blast. Even Disneyland used to be so much fun. Now as an adult however, I could never see myself taking my kids here. We literally plan our vacations around camping in National Parks with good hikes, paddle boarding, biking around the nicer city parks in town and snowboarding in the winter months. Like with the exception of the winter resorts, all these things are wayyyy cheaper/borderline free than an extended stay in Las Vegas or a theme park in SoCal. To top it all off, my kids can get as crazy as they want outside without having to corral them like when you’re waiting in line for rides, or having to ask them to behave because we’re indoors.
We are doing both this trip- went to Zion and Yellowstone, then Circus Circus! 🎪 kids love it all!
Pro tip - if and when your kiddo is in 4th grade, they get a free pass to all the National Parks (we did that this year). Makes it even more affordable to explore 💗
But can you gamble, drink and enjoy world class food in the natl parks? Sorry Vegas is for adults. Leave the kiddies with grandma and take 'em to the Waterpark when you get back.
It breaks my heart to see how nearly empty it was! No casino is fun when when no ones there & masks are worn! Fortunately, I have fond memories of going to Circus-Circus when crowds were big & things were NORMAL!!!

Like going to a concert - sure, it would be awesome to have a band perform just for you, but its also awesome to go and be with others, often strangers, who are enjoying it with you.

So, I am 54 years old and I have been going to Vegas since I was 16, and back then the Circus Circus Casino was a run down old, Dirty, Dangerous place to venture into. I went back in 2008, and it was really scary. You are a real trooper for, one: Staying at that hotel " Alone " two: Making such impartial and polite comments about the Hotel/Casino. That shows that you are a very mature and respectful person. Great video, keep it up but, Don't go back there to that Casino without a Bulletproof Vest! lol
My sister got horrible food poisoning from the buffet at circus circus. I felt so bad for her, she got violently ill. We never went back.

I don’t know when you were a kid, but it’s been a major dump for many decades. Sometimes kids don’t notice those things. In the 80’s when I was a child, I saw a pimp give his Ho a real old school beat-down right in front of the entrance. Security came out and broke it up, but the police were not called and nothing happened to the guy. His woman was all bloody and wobbly and nobody did anything to help her. That’s the Image that comes to mind when I think of Circus Circus. Good Times.

Security seems to be ramped up MAJORLY since the Mandalay massacre. but yes all the "old vegas" clubs have been shit holes with the exception of NYNY i think is still very nice. Nowadays its the Aria, Caesars is still nice, Resort World, MGM, MGM Parkway, Delano, Trump and the Palms, all extremely nice clubs and not even on Las Vegas Blvd.

Wow, $62 for that room (which did not look bad, in my opinion), including Resort Fees, and Taxes. I can't imagine that anyone could find a room cheaper then that in Vegas. And he did say the place has a lot of Security, so that would be good to know.

Too bad really, one of Vegas' better steak houses for average people, The Steak House has been a great value for like 30 years! Two for one Coronas on the front bar by parking is pretty awesome too, and if you're reasonably fit, from that local have a good chance of escaping the gun fire! Has definitely earned my, Fire in the Hole rating!

I've stayed at the Circus Circus a couple of times in the last 6 months, the staff are very friendly, it is an older hotel/casino, since it is one of the last ones from way back. We had no security issues while we were here. We actually had a great time and it was a really good deal for the price.

I've stayed at Circus Circus twice, I'm not overly cheap but don't like spending a tin on rooms. When your in Vegas your only in the room long enough to sleep shower and depends who your with sex, rest of the time your out sightseeing or gambling, why spend a lot of money in your room to basically store your suitcase.. but that's me. Also Exailber has Krispy Kreme

Stayed there back in the early 90's. My brother and I ventured into the "adults only" (casino) area. We were promptly ushered back to the children's area... While Mom and Dad just watched and laughed. Lololol. Good times.

I agree. I took my kids there as well. Around that same time period.We got the bands for the girls and let them go have fun. Why their Dad and I had fun. We did walk around and check out the place doing the family thing. It is such great memories.🥰

I used to go to LV at least once a year for 2 weeks at a time from 2000-2018. Stayed at this place, Bellagio, TI, Encore, Paris, Bally's, MGM, Flamingo, and did the International Contortion Conventions always held at Sunset Station in Henderson. Saw more Vegas shows than I can list, ate tons of incredible food from one end of the strip to the other. Stayed/hung out at Bellagio more than any others. Tons of great experiences and memories from LV. Probably can't ever get back. I love your videos Pompsie, they bring it all back for me as much as my own pics and videos. Every time I would spend a ridiculous amount of time walking the entire strip, sometimes till my feet literally blistered in my shoes! But I loved every minute of it. Once had a gold-wearing rapper with his entourage offer me 8grand cash for my 1978 Caddy Eldo 2-tone Custom Classic in the front valet area of the Wynn but turned him down. Your videos make it all feel like yesterday. Thanks man.

Circus Circus reminds me of a club after it closes and the lights come up. Seedy, dingy looking and overall pretty sordid.
Just got back from Vegas yesterday. Wished I would've seen this first. We stayed at Circus Circus... for only 7 hours 😆 We got in at 2:30am & just needed a place to rest a bit with the kids before checking into the Strat. Saw horrible reviews for Circus, and the one about bugs just topped it. The bathroom was disgusting - urine all over the back of the toilet with pubes all over the tub/floor. Safe didn't work. The also gave us a booked room, thankfully our key didn't work & we heard people talking... walking into someone's room at 230am could've gone bad. New sub & looking forward to watching some of your other reviews, before going back.
Oh & to note: We brought our kids to Vegas bc we originally were only going to Reno, for our son to meet his family on dad's side. Decided to stop at the last second. My 17 year old is pretty responsible and offers great baby sitting rates, so we could visit casinos at night. Definitely had fun & returning for spring break!

Lol the little girl comes outta me every time. I would suggest that if you book there, you ask for the renovated side unless you're an old fashion person. Either way there's something there for everyone! Also AAA got us a really sweet cheap 3 day package with Air and Hotel. I paid around $580.00 for 3 people. Booked it literally 5 days before the trip. Talkin bout good times! 😊

The circus acts and trapeze were awesome back in the 80’s. I want to say they had the motorcycles in the steel ball act too.
They had the best buffet when I was there as a child. It's changed a lot. Definitely a sinful city. Lol

A friend of my daughter was one of the victims who was shot & killed during the Country Western Concert. I dont even want to mention the name of the Demon who shot all those innocent people from his hotel room at Mandalay Bay🤬. My daughter & her husband were supposed to go but they ended up unable to so I believe God had a hand in that. THANK YOU LORD🙏 Her friend laid over his wife to protect her & he ended up getting killed. And still today, they have kept a lot of info under wraps👎

Worst hotel/casino in Vegas. Last time I went was in 2018 and it was overcrowded and smelled of stale cigarettes.
The bathroom door in my room didn't close. The iron and blow dryer didn't work.
And most importantly, I got my car broken into within the 1st 30 minutes of getting there.

I usually ended up staying there. The cost was down, and the Midway was pretty sweet even as an adult. Looks a little abandoned because of covid. I'd just say don't get a manor room, get a tower room and you'll be fine. It's decent.
lol it was pretty sketchy by the end of the 80's, I can only imagine what it's like now. But Vegas has something for everyone and Circus Circus is basically the place to go if you want the cheap "carny" vibe for your stay, not begrudging anyone their good time if that's their good time.
