It’s recommended to visit Hanoi better because public transportations are frequently used more than in Saigon! Personal info: A friend that I know has been in the military for South Vietnam during The Vietnam War and he was a very good team soldier and he cares for the soldier but unfortunately he passed away this Summer! I am always going to be remembering him! 🙏
Be aware as a visitor to Ho Chi Minh you will need a temp visa to get you through customs then you need to go to a seperate desk to get your entry visa this is quite quick and the staff were very helpfull not withstang their guns. I love the place

I'm arriving at terminal 2 of this airport and my girlfriend is arriving 2 hours later. Can someone please recommend an easy meeting point near the arrivals area?

This Airport will be your first port of entry into Vietnam. You will have to complete immigration/Customs here before transferring to a domestic flight.

Generic info - Visa is needed for foreign nationals - only if you are arriving from an International location (International flight) into Vietnam at the first port/Airport of entry (to enter Vietnam). You do NOT need Visa for transferring from one terminal to another (as you will be already in Vietnam).
