When grinding and esp. when using those silicon wheels you must where a N-100 respirator. all these have silica as part of the abrasive and operating as you are w/o any mask is asking for Siliceous
What flex shaft attachments do you suggest for hard-to-reach areas where the sprue was cut? Diamond bits? (I found that they wear down less than other wheels...) Thanks!
Hey Lina, I will make a video for you about how I do this, but I usually will either use my handsaw to remove it from the inside & then sand it down with the 3M sandpaper wheel OR I will clip it off with my Keiba clippers... I will do a video showing both ways next week for you!
@@NinaBerenato thanks Nina, I literally went out this morning to Home Depot and bought a Ryobi grinder I had some projects that still had sprues on them and I was tired if using my flex shaft and the grinding stone wheels. Can't wait to see your video!
I wanna know what should I buy, if I want to start, like what tools and materials do I need if I want to learn, and if I can work with gold filled wire, or only silver and gold, I have so many questions so I can begging
It totally depends what type of jewelry you want to make but I will do a video on how to set up a beginners tool setup for you! In the meantime, Check out Rio Grande's Beginner Soldering kit: www.riogrande.com/product/soldering-kit-for-butane-torches/500179

what kind of drill do you use for the wheels? :)
It's a flex shaft drill! My favorite brand is Foredom :)
Hi Nina what do you suggest to clean sprue from the inside of a ring?

I recommend starting to learn on the least expensive materials, such as brass or goldfill wire, so when you make mistakes it doesn't cost you!

I wonder what if u use grinder for gold oh my god
Just sitting a grounder loose on top of cinder block is very dangerous. It should be bolt-mounted to a bench.
