When I was 13, it was 2008, and Dodge just revived the Challenger from its grave. I was in awe everytime I saw one on the road. Now I have my dream car. Wish you the best in finding one in good condition by the time you get your license.
Got mine last year 2022 RT ….pitch black color …..beautiful and no regrets ..due to living in Canada ….I store it in the winter …taking it back out MARCH15th ,,,
I know it’s not the fastest V8 powered car/trim on the market right now but it deserves more justice than the Camry comparison. I think even the TRD Camry only runs a mid 14 in the quarter. The current Challenger RT 0-60 and in the quarter is almost directly on par with the 09/10 6.1 SRT-8 Challenger. (13.1)
Still, it's only a tad quicker than a Camry. Not exactly a fast car. There's just a lot of other cars much faster. My wife S3 with a 4 cyl does 0-60 in 4 seconds flat. This is significantly slower with twice the engine. It's just a super heavy car. Need the Scat Pack to feel fast in my opinion. But I'm also used to very fast cars like my old Nissan GTR and Supra
I driven Mustangs (GT and Ecoboost), Camaros (SS, V6, 4 cylinder turbo, Challengers (V6, R/T), I think the average person that gets in a base muscle car going to feel more power because the muscle cars have more torque than a regular sedan (0-60 in 5.0 seconds is quick). Out of the Mustang GT, Camaro SS, and the Challenger R/T, I love the 6th gen Camaro SS because how it delivers power at high RPMS. The Challenger R/T is really a good car in the sense of it being the entry level V8, the issue Dodge gave more attention to their Scat Pack and Hellcat. An Aftermarket exhaust and headers can bring a R/T to life.
The R/T is a perfect daily for muscle car drivers. Thanks for reviewing the “baby” Hemi version of the Challenger! (Although I think it has a little more horsepower than what you said)
Yes it is the perfect V8 muscle for daily. The only one of the 3 that is very comfortable and has some serious trunk space. I leave my suv at home no problem 😂

For example I'd love to see a video where you guys review a g37 coupe (I own one) especially since one of you previously owned a 370z and you could really compare the Z to its Infiniti counterpart. I really think I want to snag one of these RT's in F8 green w/ a manual transmission before they get the axe and can't get one anymore. I think Dodge is foolish. Absolutely foolish for dropping this and the charger. I wasn't even looking for a car initially (was eyeing a truck for the longest time) I was fixing to special order a 2023 Tacoma w/ a manual. But because I know Dodge is killing this car off, I want to buy it almost as a protest purchase, that they shouldn't be axing something that people are actually buying and not wanting to see go. How do you and your brother feel about this news? Given the circumstances of Taco possibly loosing the v6 and the manual for 2024's redesign, and Dodge axing the tremendous Challenger from their lineup, and you had a chance to get either vehicle before year's end, which would you pick? Maybe you and your brother's weighing in can help me consider my own thoughts btween the two vehicles. I'm racking my brain about it. Appreciate the insight, thanks for your review!
Well out of the two, I’d go manual tacoma! Not a huge muscle car fan to actually purchase one. We are more into the foreign and exotic cars than muscle. I think it’s crazy Dodge is dropping the car when the new mustang just came out, but haven’t seen actual info of them dropping the car for sure. If it’s a car you absolutely love and would enjoy, go for it! Hope that helps some!

@@BrosFOURRSpeed Because there are 4 pedals under the driver's footwell! Normally, a regular car has 2 pedals for automatic cars and 3 pedals for manual cars. But in the case of the Dodge Challenger manual, there are 4 pedals! I hate when I engage the parking brake by accident when applying the clutch pedal. The same principle applies to the 2008 Porsche Cayenne GTS 6MT and some vehicles.

Well it has the same 0-60 time as a V6 Toyota Camry. So for that particular aspect, yes I compared it to a Camry. Mainly because people who own the RT think these are crazy fast just because it has a V8. My wife's old Audi S3 with a 4 cylinder is significantly faster than this. So just pointing out the basic RT isn't that fast. Scatpack is much quicker and the Hellcat has the real power of course

It wasn’t long ago, I rode in a Camaro and it was a bitch to get in and especially to get out, like a vette. I’m used to trucks w/ and without lift, so that low to the ground is different for me now

Probably not much different! But every manual will have a slightly different feel!
The Tremec 6 speed feels different in each car. Camaro shifter has best feel, Mach 1 is very notchy, but Challenger feels clunky when rushing shifts.
The Barton shifter is an improvement over that.
You say that it comes with 367 hp, is that to the wheels? I thought they came with 375?
HP stated in the video is at the crank. Thats what Dodge rates this engine and claims it makes

Bro the GT has 305 hp but goes 203 mph and a 0-60 in 3.3 seconds so get the gt not the rt and the gt is cheaper
Where’d you get that info from? No where close to 200 mph..and not even close to that0-60 time, neither you stated are correct..
