  • Lifting the #2ndgenSequoia is one of the most talked about topics in the world and for good reason. 1. There aren’t many options for people with Platinum Sequoia’s and airbags and 2. There isn’t much information out there on what your options are. While I have not tried all the suspension out there for these rigs. Here’s how I have safely and effectively lifted my 2nd gen Toyota Sequoia platinum.
    There are TONS of options out there for the front end of these rigs but there isn’t much out there for the rear, so here are all the links of everything I used.

    Love your channel and your content. Especially because I also own a 2nd gen sequoia and an 86. Keep up the good work.

    You look like a mix between Brian Scotto and Vinny. Hope that’s a compliment lol

    One of my favorite rigs in the sequoia world. Are you planning on doing a video on UCA?

    I'm a big fan of this page and have watched every Sequoia video you've made available. In many of your videos, you compare the Sequoia to the Tundra. If you had the opportunity to select the Sequoia or the Tundra, which one would you select and what are the reasons for your selection?

    • @CoolGuyClub
      @CoolGuyClub  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      You’re right. It’s a really tough call, I really like the enclosed space of the Sequoia but the Tundra keeps pulling me to it. I always compare the two because a lot of companies list tundra parts but not sequoia parts so I’m hoping people can find what they need by searching for tundra stuff as well

    About to buy a second gen sequoia and something I’ve noticed when test driving one is that there’s a steering wheel shake on it while driving on the freeway. Any experience on that? Thanks in advance.

      See if it happens at a certain speed and if so, the wheels aren’t balanced correctly. Easy fix.

      @@CoolGuyClub Perfect, yeah it seems that it happened once we were above 55 mph. Thanks for the reply.

    Hey I just got a sequoia as my first car and I’d love to build it similar to yours but I got it from my dad and it has 205k miles I was wondering if you think it’d be a waste of money to build it I have a good amount of money saved to build it but I don’t want to have it done and then it needs work after work done to the engine and trans

    Why not also use 5100 for the front shocks.

    • @CoolGuyClub
      @CoolGuyClub  16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Because the Eibach's are a true coilover (adjustable) and frankly I love Eibach's customer support and quality A LOT more than Bilstein.

      @AdventureswithB.O.B. 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @CoolGuyClub ah ok.
      I've never dealt with Bilstein customer service, but I do have the 5100 on the front of my Tundra on the middle setting with no issues after 20k miles.
      How often do you need to adjust the ride height?
      I don't do much off-road action, a few gravel roads from time to time, and the rare muddy field.
      I don't drive over big rocks or crawl trails.

    Heck yeah, dude. How many people are rolling 37s on their Yoters without going full prerunner with it? I really respect your approach, and i much prefer the handling and stability of a stiffer suspension because most of my driving is on pavement. I can learn how to finesse a rig offroad on a super stiff suspension. But i never get used to driving paved mountain roads with a soft suspension or swaybar delete. Driving trails a little slower on stiff shocks is much less stressful to me than driving slow on pavement because my steering/suspension feels too soft and squirrely and confidence-detroying 😅 and im sure the people driving behind me really appreciate when i can maintain the speed limit (dont wunna get accused of being a "flatlander"😱)
