To be honest I am good at sketching and drawing but I am bad at maths. Edit: 2021 I posted it when I was in 11th, after 2 yrs of hardwork, guys I got into NID Ahemdabad, their question paper didn't even had difficult maths which is btw not even needed in this field ! Thanks for the likes!

But when I asked some of my neighbours about nift they told me that after selecting in nift we have to buy materials which are too costly and a person from middle class background can't pursue it. From my school days I'm very into the drawing, sketching and painting like stuffs.and one day I accidentally saw fashion ramp on TV and after that day I started making sketching of outfits seeing all the magazines etc .but now IAM doing my bachelor's degree .so is it possible for me to still go for the nift along wd my degree?

Anamika Ghosh I haven’t pursued a masters course so it would be unfair if I give out just written information. I’d suggest you read through the admission criteria and exam format on their website! There’s a PDF for it somewhere and it is really very detailed. Hope this helps :)

abhirami CL It actually depends on how you’d perceive it. If you’d like to depict sadness. You could start with black grids in the centre and move towards greys and blues as you move out symbolising darkness or sadness on the inside. Again for anger, I’d say an ombré of something which looks like fire would give out an angry emotion. Hope this helps.

No you can't my dad works there and believe me I asked him a hundreds of times but you must be 12th passed or going to appearing for the 12th examinations.

Hey! I loved your video. I just wanted to ask a few questions....So here's it... I'm in 12th I have taken Science with the subjects PCM ...though I wasn't interested in it...anyway..that was a bad decision. I have always been into art and stuff and creative things too but never got proper guidance to polish my skills. So last year, when I was in 11th, my interest for Fashion and art started developing again...and I am really, really passionate about it. I do art sometimes and also have bought the guide book for NIFT by Arihant publications. But with this pressure of science and 12th boards I'm not getting enough time to prepare for the entrance exams.. I study for GAT regularly but for CAT... I'm kind of nervous about it as it's just 6 months left and there's a lot to explore and study.. So can you please give me some tips on how to prepare for CAT so that I could crack NIFT next year..? Start with basic sketches. Take up newspaper images of events and sketch things in perspective. That’s a start. Work on your lines and circles. That’s gonna help too. Work on getting a free movement of hand first :)

Do you just fill in the little squares with different colors? Or do you have to design a pattern using the grid? I'm in 12th I have taken Science with the subjects PCM ...though I wasn't interested in it...anyway..that was a bad decision. I have always been into art and stuff and creative things too but never got proper guidance to polish my skills. So last year, when I was in 11th, my interest for Fashion and art started developing again...and I am really, really passionate about it. I do art sometimes and also have bought the guide book for NIFT by Arihant publications. But with this pressure of science and 12th boards I'm not getting enough time to prepare for the entrance exams.. I study for GAT regularly but for CAT... I'm kind of nervous about it as it's just 6 months left and there's a lot to explore and study..
So can you please give me some tips on how to prepare for CAT so that I could crack NIFT next year..?

Start with basic sketches. Take up newspaper images of events and sketch things in perspective. That’s a start. Work on your lines and circles. That’s gonna help too. Work on getting a free movement of hand first :)

I was wondering if you could help me with something though. How do you solve those questions that ask you to depict emotions using a grid? Do you just fill in the little squares with different colors? Or do you have to design a pattern using the grid? I've been seeing this type of question in every sample paper i try, and tbh it's kinda confusing :')
CMYKidd It actually depends on how you’d perceive it. If you’d like to depict sadness. You could start with black grids in the centre and move towards greys and blues as you move out symbolising darkness or sadness on the inside. Again for anger, I’d say an ombré of something which looks like fire would give out an angry emotion. Hope this helps.

How was the exam? I just entered 11th standard...in Science PCM stream..... Preparing for JEE of course, but being a Fashion Designer excites me... That's Y I'll prepare for NiFt too!!!
