I have always shared the positive side of the topic I speak about most of the time. So, It's my responsibility to show you the backside of the picture too, and that's what I have done in this video.
Starting a new series of Casual talk where I will be producing content based on experience in design, Pros & cons, and everything which is lowkey but very effective in daily life about design.
In this video, I spoked an overview of problems a student faces once they come out of the NIFT bubble, even after cracking entrance there is a completely new world. I cannot hide what's wrong, there are many things which an individual faces but keep it within them. I am starting to push that limit and bring out things on the plate and aware my innocent audience about both the side.

It's so terrible that students have to decide what they want to do even before getting into these schools and experiencing the field, once you choose a discipline you are stuck

Much needed, there's no sort of career counseling done in college and we just graduate believing that an assistant designer is all we can and should become but there is so much left to learn. Please introduce these kids to export houses, retail brands and design labels too.

I am a science student and always has been into art....and has been feeling lost preapring for the usual entrance exams.....and thought nift is only for fashion and for the arts student...I can't thank u enough I will be preparing for nift....I can be feeling more happier and determined now

Since I’m soon joining nift soon,I’ve been researching more and I’ve only heard bad things. Not one upside. If only I made it to nid….
Same happens in inifd, chandigarh. Proper garment construction class were not properly happens and so irregular and casual classes happen, the fire in myself to learn got hit badly and the attandance was also low and even the teachers never introduced cad programs to draw digitally, they didn't sharpen the skills of students through jobs prespective and if somebody wants to do a creative jobs, there are no jobs in chandigarh. I just love designing and Illustrations and now i am preparing myself to learn these softwares by myself... there's lot to say, but i hope all the fashion design and technology student achieve success in their career. Ur vedio is literally true facts about all these institutions and confusion. 🙏🏻
How are you lerning softwares and specifically which ones are they, actually m a first yr student of fd and want to learn more about digital illustrations but due to this online studies things are not clear to me, if you could tell and help me
@@asthakhare4744 there is a app on playstore. It's called autosketchbook, you can download it and try but you should have stylus pen with ipad for drawing illustrations. Ibis Paint X and Infinite Painter are also there on playstore and many others, but some apps contain in- app purchases. So, i recommend u to learn photoshop also and any cad related software as it will benefit u in your future. Learn the basic illustration skills and then move on to drawing digital, as i myself am learning ! 👍🏻

Im not interested in fashion that much and my interest lies a lot more in interior design. Ive given design exams but i dont think i will get into nid or uceed which were more of my dream colleges....so i thought i would settle for nift for b.des and go to nid for m.des...or just study in nift for an year, give nid exam again next year and if i get in then quit nift and go to nid. Is it a good idea?

This is what life is right you'll never get spoonfed by college it's you who has to search your own way in college because in school we get spoonfeeding by the teachers so its not with nift its with every career and with every college and this is how we learn and become strong at one point!

Sir, please also talk about the private colleges ! How do see them and any suggestions for some private colleges like as I got to hear a lot of things bcz I missed my NIFT exam. But I did good so far as a freelancer,( bcz dad didn't allow me to approach this field 🥺) working for some big names of Bollywood designers and fast selling brands.....

@@whyRamachandran okay, thank you so much.. What do you think about pearl Delhi (specifically) bcz they are having tie up with FDCI (I know it's expensive I got a very good scholarship , I'm willing to go for a PG ) and I'm presently doing a different course bcz of my dad.
I'm not endorsing any college but the reason why I asked you about Pearl Delhi bcz I had got a great opportunity for assisting a fashion designer , when I applied for UG. And I've also seen lots of Pearl alumni working for designer labels and some in Bollywood too.
Will be highly grateful if you throw some light on this as well.

@@arindamsarkar2812 yes you can apply for pearl academy, it will help you no doubt, must check textile design from NID too. That contains more values and deeper design process learning.

Heyy, I'm watching your videos and realized something that being into NIFT and fashion industry is just not my dream, but i don't have a clear goal that's why I'm just trying this, i passed my exam and the counselling is in july, and obviously the fees is too high so I'm depending on nift sarthak scholarship but people says it's not like that everybody gets scholarship!! Now I'm in confusion that should i go for nift?? Hope you'll answer my question!!!

Kudos to you for throwing light to this aspect. The course is fancy but career isn't. I am someone who has been and seen how things go bad without awareness, councelling, zero ROI and above all the specialization was the cherry on top.

Many times industry ask nift and nid or pearl graduates in india to start. I heard this alot from outsiders. Sad to say this happen in india.
