It's actually the best rival growth ever. And she obviously got Rayquaza by being a badass training and traveling just to be strong to beat the player
Honestly, she was one of my favourite rivals. They really made a character have more personality than “I want to fight!” Even if that’s all she did.

Honestly, I don't mind having a rival with that kind of personality. Reminds me of Kieran.
It's not "destroy you" but "push you to your limits". She realised something is wrong and that you're the only one that can fix everything (probably the world being stuck in a loop) by beating the responsible for this (eternatus, but I'm not sure she knows it's him). She realised her purpose is to make surr you're able to. Anf if you're not, she sends you to the start of the loop by destroying you. But this is not her purpose.
@@cynaxis4002 Eternatus is definitely responsible, since he outlines how the world was forged. He and Ivy have likely played against, "you," hundreds of times, with each attempt getting you closer to freeing Ivy from captivity.

As goofy as the DNA Splicers are, they do let you make some absolute monstrosities. I was able to combine a Togekiss with a Heatran to create a Steel/Fairy type with Flash Fire.
I made Eternatus struggle to death.
My best one was Mega Aggron with Dachsbun for a Steel/Fairy with Well Baked Body, it made some big dmg Body Presses lol

Allowing pokemon fangames to exist is the sole reason why Pokemon as a franchise doesn’t have much competition at this point. They know that if they forced the community to make competing products, TPC would get outplayed hard

Something really fun about this game is that literally any Pokémon is viable in it to a certain degree- you can obtain some wildly powerful moves from the egg gatchas and shiny Pokémon are both decently easy to obtain and have as much of a gameplay benefit as having powerful Pokémon bc they give you chances to get powerful items much more commonly and those can carry you hard. Makes this game a delight to watch and I love how everyone runs through in a different way due to how absurdly customisable the experience is. Cool to see one of my favourite TH-camrs play :D
If Anything Ivy (Rival) is a goddamned DEMON. She kills most of my runs before they hit off the ground or her Mega Ray destroys me.

Or he knew. I'm suspicious mainly because he rocked both a Fairy/Steel in Tinkaton and a fantastic wall in Garganacl since it has Salt Cure. Both are very popular choices for Eternatus here. The only real reason I don't think he's necessarily cheating is because he didn't use Garganacl at all.

I think those two were caught specifically to help kill Rayquaza but it's kind of funny that Tinkaton walls Eternatus' entire first phase

i love how ivy talks shit at you "i don't even know whether to thank you or hate you" and you shame her, while 100 floors later she jumpscares you with a shiny mega ray, save scumming really is my best friend
Save scumming was what genuinely carried me to my first victory against Ivy and Eternatus in my first Classic win. I didn't get too lucky with items which meant I needed to save scum to see what Ivy would reply with when I swapped in Pokémon. Had to sack my Skeledirge, Cresselia, Rhyperior, Ludicolo, and Grimmsnarl for my Inteleon to live at half HP and bonk Ivy's last 'mon. It felt a lot more satisfying to deconstruct her team and win, and even though it would've been cool to do it first time, it's a hard enough battle I feel no shame in save scumming tbh
@@eaglefan2569 no shame in save scumminng on pokerogue, it's even pushed, everyone will have a "HOLY FUCK MY HEART WILL IMPLODE" type run that will probably need savescum in 145 ivy, champion, 195 ivy, or eternatus (unless you got leech seed, that move is a beast against eternatus and ray)

My 1st was up to 145. Ivy rocked my shit. But that was also my 1st leggo boss catch. Fecking darkrai of all mons
I wish I had his luck. My first and second runs ended at floor 50 both times. My third at 186 during the E4.

Gonna be very difficult to do, there’s no monetary gain from pokerogue, and there’s no merch of the game
Even if they do, I think it'll be hard to totally kill it. The game is open source and is already having problems with clone sites itself. If Nintendo really comes at them, they can really just make it easier to spread at the last minute, and then you got 100s of websites hosting it. It's a losing battle for Nintendo

The first stage of eternatus only has eternabeam and cross poison as damaging moves so if you have a fairy steel type he can’t do anything and you can just set up stall on him
Second form eternatus has eternabeam, cross poison, flamethrower, and recover i think

Yeah. The other rival (who you fight if you pick the girl) is a lot less so.
I think after enough runs random trainers will start to pick up on it and just accept that they are in a loop. I got.. some unnerving lines fro a Lass and Youngster about fighting over and over.

Also, Ivy is a menace! My first few attempts before I finally managed to beat classic mode I had to memorize which waves she showed up at just so I didn't get my shit rocked by her casually appearing with the second strongest pokemon in the game in boss-mode as her ace (It might actually be third, I haven't fought God yet, so I don't know how strong She is). I've apparently put in 50 hours in the game already, although the numbers may be inflated from me going AFK

As someone who’s played this game a lot, that’s only because Ribombee had 462 health left, the damage shown is how much HP was lost, which means it won’t show more than the current health value

Sadly classic is a little boring in the middle part. and Endless gets braindead after lvl 3000. But with some changes and some more modes (Like Nuzlocke and Hard mode) this could be the best pokemon fangame ever made.

You can’t nickname Pokémon yet, though I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s planned in the future- the game is still in active development and isn’t anywhere close to a finished state, so there’s a lot of cool content that comes out frequently to fill in those gaps and rebalance things.

raichu with zippy zap is fantastic for new players who dont got access to good dedicated sweepers such as groudon. zippy zap is an 80bp priority move that ALWAYS crits, great for bosses who only get bulkier if you didnt ohko them. it gets the move the second it evolves
It carried me early game and didn’t fall off late game on my first clear
I was waiting for the 145 and 195 Rayquaza jumping for like 3 weeks lol

Beat classic for the first time the other day. One of the toughest but most gratifying wins in all my gaming life. Things looked grim at multiple points but I pulled through. I even caught a Ho-Oh right before the final stretch...which I didn't even really need because Swampert kicked the late game's teeth in even without his Mega Stone. Turns out Ice Beam/EQ/Surf is basically all you need to dominate.

I hate that you can only play in browser rather than download. If Nintendo takes it down, this is just entirely gone.
Admiral-Billy has a github with a downloadable version that works both online and offline. The game isn't monetized, so the chance of being struck down by Nintendo is incredibly low.
You can download it, its just a hassel to do so
Technician Meowth has ended so many runs pre-30. I fear them more than the Boss fights, to the point that I always have a sacrifice and then something fast enough to 1 shot or bulky enough to tank the hits.
