The think the problem is his wife completely humiliated him by sitting him down in front of the world and lecturing him on why she slept with his sons friend!
Their problem.
It’s narcissism. Grounds for instant dismissal
Yep! Will wasnt having it anymore! He needs therapy..he snapped..
That was bad! No doubt. But I still think the worst was when Willow (who has been raised in part by Will Smith) made the letter to Tupac public! That was super cringe since Willow herself never met Tupac!! Willow literally repeated everything her mother Jada told her about Tupac. And then put it all in writing on a letter to Tupac in heaven for the world to see/learn. That is super sketchy and sus!! That letter by Willow is the absolute emasculating public move Jada has done to Will Smith. Sad, just sad!
And why it was his fault!

How totally alone in a crowded room was Chris Rock in that moment? Absolutely no one- not ONE person in that entire room tried to intervene in any way at all. F*ckin awful.
I work as a nurse and have been assaulted by patients on two occasions and both times colleagues and other patients stepped in to protect me.
Then the crowd gave Will a standing ovation which was like another slap. 🤦🏽♂️
When you were assaulted by your patients, were you actively making fun of their spouses genetic condition? In which case, it's not right, but definitely understandable.
@iambiggus I didn't refer to whether Will's reaction was understandable. Someone should have intervened regardless- an assault had just occurred. I was commenting on the inaction of the crowd. And no mate I don't go around making jokes about the spouses of my patients and I did nothing to povoke getting assaulted.
@@fuzzykyrra Intervened? How? He got slapped, then it was over... in all of thirty seconds.
EDIT: "I don't go around making jokes about the spouses" Well you're clearly smarter than Chris Rock.
@iambiggus He then sat down and went on shouting- he should have been scorted out of the venue just like he would have been if it had happened at a stand-up gig at a bar and Chris was roasting a member of the audience
She gave him that “Tupac wouldn’t let him get away with that” look.
Bhwaaaa-haaaaa-haaaaaa. Nailed it.
100% She is still in love with Pac even though Pac moved on and then got deleted and she still loves him more than she does Will.
Tupac never wanted her.
thinking back to that slap, it is pretty insane that everybody just allowed that to happen and then literally cheered for Will when he got his award - that is crazy
Yeah Denzel acted a fool. I was not impressed.
And Jim Carey called the hypocrisy on that.
Imagine all the waycist white actors from back in the day watching that award show. Lol 😅
Like Jim Carrey said, they're cowards.
absolutely repugnant
The most the media has ever cared about black on black crime.
On a more grounded note though, what the **** is anyone supposed to do about black on black crime apart from themselves? Therefore why would the media report on it
😂😂😂😂
@@petermatthews2831so only report on things they “can do something about”? Are you serious, that’s your logic for what should be reported on as news?
💀bruuuuu
@@michellee7469 As sad as that statement is, I kind of get it. Hard not to be cynical. Nothing the media or government does or doesn't do is gonna stop black kids in Chicago and elsewhere shooting and killing each other. Might as well give up.
That moment Chris Rock started to say something then stopped and carried on with the show... that's the pause and moment of clarity that Will Smith should have had, but didn't.
Underrated comment.
The entire family died in that moment.
The punk kid saying "That's how we roll"!
How you rollin now PUNK!
Why wasn't he charged? A normal person that laid a finger on someone in an argument would be charged with assault if even a single person saw it. The whole world watched Will assault Chris live on tv.
Chris didn't want to press charges.
@@williamdaniels2714but why didn’t security at least escort him out?
@@williamdaniels2714 Hey, if you smack somebody in broad daylight with multiple witnesses, it won't matter if the person you smacked wants to press charges, as the DA will press charges. I mean, yeah, Chris didn't want to, but why didn't the county or state?
@@sickofwashington I’m just saying what he said in the interview right after.
Low benefit high cost
When he said "boy I could...." We all thought it. Why are you worried about what's coming out of my mouth about your wife instead of what's going in hers
CORRECTION: David Spade is the least intimidating guy to hold a mic, not Chris
Underrated comment
correct
I know he is just a celebrity but I cannot look at him the same way now, Like I was turned Off forever 😂😂😂
You and me both. I haven't been able to watch anything of his or theirs including the kids since the incident. Including movies I liked in the past. I'm over them.
He's in a terribly toxic and manipulative relationship. I can relate cause I was in a relationship once where the woman was extremely manipulative, his mind is warped and she got him eating Outta his hand. He needs help
This! And I believe it’s from him allowing her to humiliate him for so long not even having the same energy for Tupac and August Alsina that he had for Chris over a joke. She never had alopecia she had a partial face lift and thats the scar it leaves. That slap let us know how weak he is.
Same! Not even watch his old shoes and movies the same way. Smh sad.
Chris Rock did everything right. He let his fans/family eat Willy's lunch and came back even stronger as a comic.
It made me more of a fan when I already loved the guy.
Not so much with Prince Willy and his wife Pinky Thin-Skin.
The CGI sucks almost as much as Will Smith.
Will smith intimidates you now? Lol
Not as much as your mother’s mouth???
The CGI sucks as much as Will's wife does her son's friend.
If you think about it, the G.I Jane joke could have been an alley Opp/opportunity for her to actually do G.I Jane 2 or something.
I thought the same thing. She could have flexed and made it all hers but they're so insanely sensitive entitled and uncreative
Gotta love the irony of watermark on stolen videos lmao
It's not a watermark.
@@raymeester7883 What do you call it? No matter, it's still a ripped-off video reposted for clicks.
Will Smith lost points with me after that slap.
How many points?
@BennyMex90😂
@@BennyMex90 12.5, lol.
That’s probably the thing that hurt him most to be honest.
That ‘Jerrypissonme’ had to subtract a couple of points.
Same here but Chris lost points with me for not hitting him back. You can’t let someone do that to you and not do anything back. When you let people walk all over you that’s encouraging them to continue doing it. You have to enact consequences for them.
6:08 yes! No one has pointed that out. He was about to rip it up
The fact that they allowed Will to give his speech without an apology blew my mind. He didn’t even deserve to win an Oscar for that role. Will had all the chance in the world to address how wrong he was and couldn’t. Dude even complained when Netflix gave Chris rock his own special after.
In the future we can watch the Will Smith movie's again without Will Smith. That is good news.
Ai joe Rogan in fresh prince
CGI Idris Elba in his place
Crazy you'd think there'd be security to keep people from just walking up on stage lol
Enhanced melanin privilege. It would be "ray-cissed" to stop him from approaching the stage.
They probably assume nothing crazy will happen because nothing but famous elite people are invited. Everybody knows everybody there.
Riiight....Oscar failed that night..
To stay committed to the 'girl who no-one wants to invite on a night out' is a wild level of loyalty. He'd get decimated in the divorce though and get dragged through the media non-stop for 15 months.
Nah, had he had a spine and separated as soon as it was public knowledge she was cheating, he would have gotten all the public support. As it stands most people have lost all respect for him because he seems to have no self respect.
Chris Rock handled this the best it could be handled in the situation. he was in a mild state of shock And yet his pro-stand up comedian reflexes and instincts kicked in and he did a great job of protecting the integrity of the show by making light of the situation. And then... he served that revenge cold! And the final line of his Netflix special magnificently explained why he didn't do anything back. Watch it if you haven't seen it.
It’s nice Joe Rogan had Aziz Ansari on 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Wait, that's not him?
Aziz is actually funny.
Thats Vivek Ramaswamy
His name is something like Ajash Singh. He is one of Andrew Shultz’s minions. Only he doesn’t realize he is better than Andrew. It is hard to watch him be less in that podcast. He can stand on his own
@@LadyBugPicnic12 you are so dense.
After the slap and finding out some more about his dynamics with Jada...I have zero interest in watching him in anything again. Zero.
btw - really like the outro music 🤘
That's me
Glad to see they are keeping up with current events
When is will Smith v Jake Paul fight scheduled?
Will had a spotless career and it all went down really fast, big will was limp willy all along
He became a legend, like in the movie.
Chris Handled It Amazingly !!!
will was laughing at first and saw her side-eye and did it
Unacceptable. Uncle Phil would have been so disappointed.
If Uncle Phil was alive, Will wouldn't have left his seat.
Oh thank the heavens. I'd been holding my breath for over two years to hear Akash's take of the Chris Rock slap

He was a comedy action hero in movies and could just laugh like he never delivered a bad joke.
I love that Movie.. Easy Joe. Step off man.!
thats why power slap ufc was invented
The best thing to come out of that whole fiasco was watching a professional comic keep his ego in check, his composure intact, and move the show forward. I don't care about the Oscars, but I am still impressed with how Rock made it happen despite being egregiously embarrassed in front of the entire planet.
Bad Boys 4 out soon😁😄
Best thing would have been "it's only April, imagine how mad he gets when August comes"
Joe, what's the reason behind your shirt? Why this specific shirt? Not mocking, just curious.
When Will said, “Keep my wife’s name out yo fucking mouth!” He should’ve said, “I will, Will.”
Whoever this guy is is definitely one of the comedians Katt Williams was talking about
Will wouldn’t have slapped Joe like that, Will would be put asleep real quick 😂
Will meant a lot to me as a kid. Although I was disappointed, it doesn’t change anything, and I still think he’s a great actor and person. Everyone fcks up sometimes.
haha, he said "Us celebrities"
Keeping it relevant
When my mom told me about the “slap” I thought she said Kid Rock. I laughed & said I wonder how long Will Smith will be in the hospital 😂
Dude 😂 that shit was hard back then
MMA fight between Will Smith and Joe Rogan
Love Akash on the pod
If ever anyone ever doubted that Hollywood royalty are essentially a bunch of spineless sheep , just watch the Oscar ceremony immediately after the Slap, standing ovations and tears for an abusive bully followed by whiny speeches then when the masses through the looking glass i.e. everyone else not in that room basically is sickened by their behaviour they go but of course that was so wrong.
Props to Chris Rock though letting the guilty parties wriggle in their discomfort he played that as smoothly as any of his great set pieces.
The reason they have the lion scene is because wills character sees a cub and sees the female and male lion couple. He misses his family
Will was laughing originally if you look back, I wonder what happened in the small snapshot back to the Chris happened.
Chris honestly should have said “so THATS where you draw the line?”
If Joe went to summit racing equipment in Texas he'd be in Hot Rod muscle car heaven. Love hearing him fan girl over cars
1:20 fr
It really showed how shallow Hollywood is.
at that moment she brought the 2pac in him 😂
It seemed to me that they're so far away from each other relationship wise that he might of misread her and thought this could get me back in.
You don't even want to see After Earth Sad
The lions were supposed to be mutated looking
Bring slapping back I love the old school slap when they take off the glove and slap em with the glove
Akash the ultimate yes man
Rt Chris was supposed to stop the show and tell them he pressing charges. Obviously Will wasn't in his right mind 😂
Joe Rogan should host and talk about Jada
I think the most important thing folks overlook here is that this was the most costly slap in history. It cost Smith like hundreds of milions of dollars.
He should DEFINITELY sue
Dude. Nobody in the audience thought it was real.
Wilma wouldn't do that to anybody else.
Imagine Will trying that shit on Rogan. Would have gone very differently.
On the MONEY!! Hollywood is void of authenticity
Look at the Dogman!
I know what they’re saying about the I Am Legend scene with the lions but it didn’t look that bad as they’re saying
Will Smith showed us that as long as you have paid for the biggest award of the night, you can get away with anything.
Stop playing music at the end of the videos please
Dawg forill
Why?
Imagine Chris Rock being secretely a trained kickboxer and fucking Will up on stage
I thought the CGI in that movie was terrible.
Man the JRE podcast must be down bad if they're bringing on Akaash. In the words of Katt Williams. Another comedian that's never been funny.
What did the 5 fingers say to the face?
alopecia

To this day i can’t believe Joe hasn’t broke the slap down after all the UFC slow downs he has seen. There is no slow mo of the point of impact-they make sure to show you right before and after. Will has a 60 pounds and height on Chris and a full wind up shot doesn’t move Chris’s feet 1 inch? C’Mon man this was staged for ratings. Nobody watches these things-then they sat around and came up with idea to have John Cena walk across stage naked. There’s always going to be something so they did “House wives” type of event/acting with Will and Rock. Seriously try and find a full length of the swing , then making contact, then follow thru, don’t let your brain trick you they have multiple cameras and angles on this and you’ll never see point of impact and actual slowed down point of impact and look at Chris’s body and feet after “hit” it doesn’t move from impact-just a little lean. C’mon man. C’mon Rogan UFC guy
I feel like people get too bent out of shape about the audience clapping for Will Smith. The celebs there didn’t know what the fuck to think or do, they were just as surprised and confused as anyone. It’s not they he audience was okay with will assaulting Chris.
Chris Rock couldn’t say too much against his fellow black person Will Smith. If he’d humiliated Smith, there are people out there. Of course who are black would want to take revenge on him and he’d have to be looking over his shoulder quite literally for years to come and I was sure he felt it was not worth it, and I do not blame him?
His reputation wasn’t destroyed with the slap lol. Jada has been systematically destroying for the past few years. I lost all respect for Will a long time ago. The slap was him going over the edge. She’s made this man a eunuch
I still believe it was all an act to generate controversy and make the event more memorable. It all seemed too predictable, if it was organic the moment Will got off his chair, a number of scenarios could have played out. The reality is the hosts and organisers needed to do sth to reach Gervais level viral.
The lions were well animated and modeled but the lighting and implementation were wrong. Programmers and modelers got it right, editors fucked it up.
The way people on Joe’s show do that little fake laugh at everything he says…has anyone made a compilation of that yet?
Why hasn’t Christmas rock been on JRE yet?
Chris got slapped back into relevancy
Jada could NEVER play a GI Jane type character anyways - she’s awful
I'm 33 now... will Smith was legit my childhood and teenage years of TV and movies ! After that public assault. I'll never support or watch anything he's in unfortunately. He should have been jailed like any other person. Should have been kicked out of Oscar's. But nope... so like I said I'll make sure not one penny goes to him and his owner Jada pinket the monster...
Will Smith slapped another $20 million into Chris Rock's bank account.
The only thing to feel sorry about Will for is being in a cucked relationship, his “wife” has openly embarrassed him multiple times, then him slapping Chris Rock was like his Stockholm Syndrome moment by defending what essentially is his abuser. Hollywood was fine with it because they like the idea of “words = violence” in political terms, it’s considered ok to assault someone if they hurt your feelings.
Black on black crime happens.
Chris rock- "best thing that ever happened on tv 😁"
1:14
Jada was a famous actress at the Oscars. The don't talk about someone's wife argument doesn't fly.
Chris Rock should have Bill Burr Philadelphiaed Will and the Oscars
Being very famous, you can keep your feet on the ground. If you want to, remember during this incident in the Oscars the previous Oscar winner, Welshman, Anthony Hopkins came on made reference to Will Smith, and of course it was taking the piss out of him and Will Smith actually applauded him. That’s how detached Smith is from reality and his associates?
