    The length of my front of the house is 275 feet. I just bought 8 boxes of these. I should be able to sync these together correct? It looks like I will have to add 8 separate bluetooth connections and then program them?

      Hmm.. yes they will require each having their own wifi/bluetooth module (built into the power cord). You can sync them together but I'm not sure if you can like.. hook them up and have them act as a single super long strand. So, you can for sure have them all play the same colors, effects, etc, but I'm not aware if you can send a single effect (like a "wave" pattern or something) that would travel from the end of one strand to the end of the other end strand. It could be possible but I haven't delved into it enough to figure it out, lol :D

    Awesome!! Thank you for the video. Great job.!! I just purchased some LED strip lights myself from my front of my house and I wasn’t sure if I needed to put them in a channel or not but with your help and video I can avoid that and just attach to underneath the soffit!! the only difference is mine does not have a 3M tape attached, so I think I’m going to silicone it to the underneath or possibly the 3M Velcro’s not sure yet but that’s my thought process. Thank you again.!! Debora

      No problem! I love them and they are working flawlessly still to this day. I added another strip to the second floor a while back. Check out that follow up video if interested at th-cam.com/video/VSDcAYV2s5g/w-d-xo.html. I just picked up some Govee floodlights to help add some light to the unlit right portion of my home next :D As for installation... you can buy some great 3m double sided tape perhaps and use that.. peel off one side and apply it to the back of your light strip... possibly something like this, amzn.to/43Wejtp, though if your light strip is thinner than a 1/4" you would want some thinner width tape.

    How much was the LED strip lights?

    • @D3RPZILLA
      @D3RPZILLA  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Right now they look to be about $50 for the 32 foot section and $80 for 65 foot on Amazon, amzn.to/3NfHmAV.

    I’ve seen people putting the controller box inside a plastic food Togo box and just make a hole for the cord to come out of the box. That will make it waterproof.

    • @D3RPZILLA
      @D3RPZILLA  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, that would work for sure. I may end up beefing up my waterproofing for mine when I install the top layer of lighting with something like that :D A little silicone around the hole where the cord(s) come out and it's mint! :)

    I'm probably gonna get these . Can you change the scenes and themes to the traditional Christmas colors like red and green ?

    • @D3RPZILLA
      @D3RPZILLA  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! There are like 50 different effect scenes u can pick from like fall, spring, Halloween, Christmas, new years, happy, and stuff like that, and you can also assign colors to individual sections as you like. I'm about to add another run on my second level and a third around my back porch. They've been awesome.

      I just took this video real quick.. Not the best quality but can maybe give you an idea, th-cam.com/users/shortsGOplNml-h50?feature=share :)

      How did you manage to turn the strip at the 90 degree angle?

    • @D3RPZILLA
      @D3RPZILLA  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@etraxler You cannot do a sharp 90 degree turn you instead kind of loop around to get the turn. There is a few ways to do this... you can see one of my turns at the 9:27 mark in the video for reference.

    Appreciate the video, can the strip be cut to shorten the length?

    • @D3RPZILLA
      @D3RPZILLA  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No problem! I believe they say NOT to cut the RGBIC strips, so, I think they may break the circuitry but I haven't personally attempted to modify them or cut them in any way. I think the regular RGB strips often you CAN cut but the RGBIC ones are independently controlled so you can't cut into these not to mention I'm sure it would effect the waterproofing and weather protection as well.

    Looks good! RBGICs can't be spliced or cut is my understanding.

    Does it mess with your camera picture since the lights are towards the front from your camera view at night time? Thanks in advance. -Mark

      Nope, not at all. Though if im running something like red or whatever it will tint the video a little with the color glow I'm running on my lights.

    What's the output voltage on the power brick? 12v or 24v?

    • @D3RPZILLA
      @D3RPZILLA  ปีที่แล้ว

      Output voltage is 24v and 1.5 amps... 36 watts.

    • @D3RPZILLA
      @D3RPZILLA  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Perfectly. Zero issues.. they still look exactly like they did day 1. No adhesive issues either. I still have one more roll to install when I get enough ambition to balance on the roof, haha.

      Are you able to chain muliple strands together?

    • @D3RPZILLA
      @D3RPZILLA  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SlickNickBA I believe technically they say no you cannot.. But I believe if one was adventurous enough they could cut at a solder point and crimp on another string and I "think" the single power box could still power it unless you were trying to get wild with it and run some super long run of lights.

      Thank you! It's been over a year now and they thus far have not budged at all. Main thing is to prep the area prior to applying them into place with the 3m backing. I'll continue keeping an eye on everything as the time passes :)
