So sorry to hear about your relationship woes. I am going through a similar issue (divorce after 15 years) and wanted to say that your adorable frogs and their unique personalities gave me a couple of the largest laughs (deep belly laughs that scared my cats) I've had in a looooong time. Thank you for that. I hope someone (or some amphibian) does something to make you laugh similarly in the near future!

I don’t know you personally, but I see the kind of person you are through your videos and though I know it will be difficult to get through I know you can because you are a strong and passionate person! Hi Jessica.... oh my was not expecting such news at the opening of your video. BIG virtual HUGS!. I hope your heart heals quickly and you can move on in time. It is very true that Time is the greatest healer.
On a more positive not LOVE THIS VLOG. Your frogs are little devils and they are so mischievous.... Kiwi just loves to hog the limelight lol. Such fun to watch. The crawl up the arm maneuver is something I am very familiar with. Several of my Leos use it to avoid being put back in their vivariums. One of my girls, Jewel, is an accomplished gymnast, she can jump like a frog if she wants to get from me to the back of my chair.
Last night after they had all been fed and exercised. I was sitting watching a video and a little head appeared on the shelving that is adjacent. one of my youngsters had circumnavigated the barrier and snuck off the top of his vivarium when I was distracted. (very tired from nursing my Partner who is recovering from a knee op). I thought I was hallucinating!. The Little tyke was quite nonchalant about the whole thing.

Sucks about the relationship, my fiancé left me too about a year ago. I was turn up about it and honestly I took it out on them, being passive aggressive in my texts, until I ended up deleting messenger. I wish now I just stayed calm and asked them how they were instead of being unreasonable and demanding answers.
Finally I calmed down and just asked them, found out I was so buried in my own hobby/dream job I wasn’t even paying attention to how their emotional and mental health declined, whole lotta help my batchlers in psychology did ha.. sorry dry humor on myself.
Didn’t help I always pushed them to do family events while I straight up avoided their family, good people to be honest.
Anyway I do apologize for the rant. Best wishes to you both and your families. ✌🏾
Only thing I can think of is a raised poly urethane cover or a long thin ledge or rod mounted across to give the frogs something to aim for and really soak some rays

I ordered one of the Koi water bowls from Daniela. Beautiful! Unfortunately I believe I have a baby white's tree frog that's crazy like kiwi. I hope he outgrows it 😁 So sorry for the breakup. Always hard to deal with then it seems to get easier. Keep doing what you do.

I like the vlog style 😁 I'm doing something similar with my Zen enclosure and the background (we talked a little about our similar plans on IG a few weeks ago). I do have a question - how do you plan to waterproof the enclosure, particularly at the bottom where the drainage and substrate will be? Are you planning to silicone the seams? Or use one of their liners? Or both?

What substrate are you going to use for the crested geckos? I have a Cresent tank and paper towels are a no go in there.

Hiii i have a question about a bioactive enclosure i built for my crestie. It’s been working out great for almost a year and i was really proud of it, but when i went on vacation my springtails all died, even though they had food and moisture. Ever since then, i’ve had nematodes and fungus gnats in the soil which i hate, but thats not the biggest problem. I feel like i just can’t keep it clean, it has this odd odor (which is okay and expected in a moist tank as far as I’ve heard), and i feel like everything is dirty, especially the wood. I was wondering if I’d exchange the soil for some paper towel but im scared it wouldn’t retain moisture well. I want to know what you think about it and if this is just normal for a humid tank.

How moist is the soil now? Is it damp or does it clump together, can you squeeze water out of it?
@@JessicasAnimalFriends It was pretty damp and i figured that was a big problem and it allowed fungus gnats to breed, so for the last month or two I’ve been misting the tank lightly, so it dried down. I feel like the nematode population went down a bit, but all the other problems remain. The soil is not really wet, two or three droplets do come out when i squeeze it but i feel like I can’t dry it out completely because it would ruin the plants and the humidity wouldn’t be high enough for my crestie
