I knew Kiwi was going to launch himself into the camera and when it happened it made me so happy, his little eye looking into the lens almost like he is trying to see the audience tis video really made my day.

Your frogs are so active! My white’s sleeps for most of the day and then climbs around to go to the pool and look for crickets at night, but he never moves as much as yours. He’ll ignore me even if my finger is right next to his face, won’t even react. He’s a bit stupid but I love him. So much personality in your frogs too! The terrarium is beautiful.

They are so cute ahhh!!! It almost makes me wish I could have some Whites Tree Frogs, but I def don’t have room lol 😂 I have a leopard gecko named Charizard (which I renamed from Mango) and a Crestie named Star (I got him on May 4) whose tank is actually starting to get way too crowded….

They are so stinkin adorable! I just got 3 babies July 13th, so mine are maybe getting close to 3 months old. I love them so much already and can hardly wait till mine are so bouncy. I do already have a “Kiwi” though that I call Fern. Same vibe though. Very active, uses every part of the enclosure. Actually got him/her on camera jumping straight into the ceiling….. BONK. They’re super tiny still. I keep telling them how much I love them, and promising them I will not eat them, but they are not convinced!!! I’m glad you said why you use moss. I had been told how sphagnum moss was a choking and impaction hazard, and to never touch my frogs without gloves! When I repeated that to the breeder I bought them from he basically said the admin of the group I belong to on Facebook might be “overzealous”. Of course, he said don’t handle them for long periods of time or with lotiony or chemical coated hands. So it’s really calming my anxiety just watching you and how healthy and adorable your White’s are! YaY! I’m subscribing! Yeah I haven’t had an issue with moss and I wash my hands before handling instead of using gloves and it hasn’t been an issue :)

I know it’s been 2 years but,,, anyway I’m thinking about getting these frogs and a lot of the things you said are exactly what my tank I’m getting has! Which made me a little happy! 😅❤ my tank is 22 inches tall and I think 16 inches wide. It’s a hexagon shape and I’m only getting one so it should be good! It’s 20 gallons exactly and I’m really excited. I think I’ve watch all the frog videos in existence so I’m prepared for these little monsters! ❤❤❤😂😂

I absolutely love your videos. Super informative and I really dig the vibe. That enclosure is fantastic and I too often wonder why the small super tall enclosures are so hyped.. I agree with having height but I think the dimensions of this tank are ideal. If I had the coin I'd do one of each and connect them somehow and see which space they prefer more. I have lots of fish have a leopard gecko and I'm about to take your information and others and get into setting up a whites tree frog enclosure. Thank you again. Subscribed!

I'm just starting on reasurch and have ordered a vivarium to begin setting up my bioactive enclosure. It will be a while yet as I get the enclosure set up until I get my first whites tree frog, but when Berry bit you and you said ow it made me laugh because I don't know if it actually hurts or not but I imagine it's like getting bit by a wet Marshmello. 🤣
OMG, this video made me laugh out loud which hasn´t happened for a few days. Thank you for that! I´m a frog girl too, I had my first pair of Hyla cinerea when I was 15 in the mid 90´s (was hard to get info back then, lots of public library visiting and I still have a whole shelf fill of frog books and am a biologist now). They lived to a very decent age and both died from old age in their sleep.
I´d love to have two Whites some time in my life. There is an old glass showcase in the house which is 24 x 24 and 60 tall (I don´t do inches over here in Germany, but I think I got it right, would be 60 x 60 cm and 150 tall). So it´s big in terms of height. Maybe at some point I will turn that into a terrarium, it would look great. Are yours males and females in mixed group? I wonder if I could tell that apart, it appears it´s not that easy with this species. Love to you and your frog group 🐸💚!
Cute little fellows! I've always been a frog fan. I have no live specimens, however, I'm a collector of frog figurines...have some 355...from humorous to serious. White's are among my favorites, as well as the African Bullfrog...now there's a good sized guy! They can really put on the pounds!

Id like to start saying that I'm in love with how you set their home up and how you have so much wood , leaves and rocks.
The only thing id like to say (to ALL Pet owners,) in response to this video is : it is INDEED completely up to you how you raise your own pets and you have every right to voice your own opinions and feelings about you & your pets.
But PLEASE be aware.
If you have frogs, please understand that they like to hop.
Frogs jump. 🐸
They do not only jump horizontally. (even if they do a lot.)
But they naturally jump BOTH ways.
Frogs jump vertically AND horizontally.
Frogs require lighting for many reasons and many people keep lights on top of their enclosures.
Frogs are not any less intelligent just because they do what they naturally do , which is jump.
And a frog is not any less intelligent just because they jumped and hurt themselves on the top of the cage...
They are wild animals.
It is an idea to buy a tall cage for frogs due to this simple fact.
Just because you buy a TALL terrarium doesn't mean it has to have a small floor. (Frogs like to climb as well as jump & trees are usually tall in the "wild")

Do u have a drainage layer under the moss???? Thinking I might switch to moss vs eco earth.
Actually,if you fed them last night they probably are hungry. My boy gets fed morning and night, and yes he is hungry.
Would you say these guys are good as “beginner” frogs? Any informational resources you’d recommend?
I would say they can be okay for beginners if everything goes right lol. Idk a single person who has kept whites tree frogs who hasn’t had some sort of issue with them. Be sure whatever you do, you’re getting frogs that are captive bred. There’s plenty of good resources out there for husbandry however you’ll notice that people keep them quite differently. Some do more vertical enclosures and some offer more horizontal space too. Some offer UVB, some don’t. Some do live planted bioactive and some do very simple set ups. Keep in mind cleanliness, space, enrichment, & humidity when you’re setting up your enclosure and you’ll be ok.
Do you have a thermometer or humidity meter in the enclosure?

Any frog people can help em with my situation, my whites tree frog Winnifred has his back leg swelled to a bump I noticed this today once I let him explore he was hopping normally and eats fine I don’t believe he’s in any pain form his movement and regular sleeping but I’m just concerned for him any ideas for helping sooth any pain or infection before I go to a vet would be very helpful.
Four questions: 1) is it affordable? I will need a bigger enclosure bc I’m getting a third tree frog. The two I currently have are in an 18x18x30 now, but they are still only about 2 inches in size. 2) How do you tell them all apart when their colors match? 3) What do you feed them in addition to crickets? And 4) How often do you feed them the other foods versus the crickets?

I think you’re okay in that enclosure for now but an upgrade would be best :)
For me telling them apart is easy you’ll notice little differences the more time you spend with them
I feed mine Dubia roaches predominately but also earthworms hornworms (head crushed) Superworms (head crushed) and the occasional wax worms. Variety is best!
Jessica I have a question if my leopard gecko is tail waveing not at me but at somthing in tank what should I do like leave him or ???? Ps no one is in the tank
How often is this occurring? Sometimes they just get spooked, or they catch a reflection of something

I’m not an expert but I do know that you aren’t supposed to handle them a lot so just be careful please 😊

this video is so old, but it’s likely kiwi kept attacking the other one because he was trying to eat him, whites tree frogs will eat smaller whites tree frogs 😢 it’s not good to co habitat them until they’re around the same size
These frogs all came to me living together & they’re all full grown. I still have all four currently
