You know he was talking to a friend about the situation and they were "well you aint sign no contract did you?" And they were like "yea you right you right"
If a customer comes up to you saying they're going to sue, just don't interact with them. Seriously. Tell them that this is now a legal matter and they must go through the company's lawyers.
I once worked for a company that, when a customer threatened to sue, would make us stop serving/talking to them entirely. The only thing we were allowed to say after that is “now that you’ve expressed that you will take legal action I can no longer help you. All correspondence must be through our legal dept at (phone number) or (email)”. Even if they were like “no I’m not actually” we still couldn’t do anything more than that.
I think what really happened is he always had the plan to return the extra stuff and keep the console only, and is mad it didn't work. He posted another video showing that he is using the console
@@DarkNightRJ yeah that’s exactly what it is. They assume they can return the games and stuff they don’t want, but it clearly says in small print on their website that you cannot return individual items.

In my 5 years of working retail I have not once had a boss/manager that said the customer is always right , they just say remain calm when customers lose control and get the manager
I remember when I was younger and didn't know any better, I was picking up a game I had pre-ordered at Gamestop, and oh had they swindled me! I can still remember their oh so terrible words: "Do you want to pre-order Call of Duty Ghosts? It's only eight bucks."
Not even. There is no pressure, they just don't sell the system by itself. It's either bundle or don't buy it and when I got mine, it was pretty well spelled out.
I'm almost certain this guy is a scalper who bought the bundle, resold the console and controllers, then expected to be able to walk in, put the blame on the store and play dumb to get his money back for the extra stuff. Which if true, is hilarious and deserved. Props to the employee for not putting up with his attitude, and I hope the manager deals with it the exact same way.
I got one of the bundles when I got my PS5. It came with an extra controller, the headphones, and I think a couple games, all at MSRP. I’m never going to touch the headphones and I hate having physical disks but I’ll gladly pay that kind of premium to get a PS5 instead of giving money to the scum of the earth scalpers. Fuck scalpers, they deserve every bit of suffering they get.
I mean he did say that he apparently "kept the controller at home", even tho he's trying to get a refund for the bundle that.. included the controller? Honestly it'd make sense if that's the case, so shameless lol
@@elizabeth5561 Using more basic intelligence, the employees would know that's dogshit. You are astronomically more likely to get a defective controller with a brand-new console than you are likely to get no controller. and even the chance of getting a defective controller is highly unlikely with a brand-new console. I could see either cases happening if you bought a used or refurbished console set, but not a new one.
the frightenly common idea of an employee caring about legal action taken against the company they work for seems to come from people who have never worked a day in their life
If you wanna be a real asshole, you can just sue the actual franchised location to make the manager wave the problem away by firing the unfortunate employee. Suing the entire company isn't even gonna do that. Now that I think about it, maybe it's better that these people are a bit less destructive.
Was about to make the exact same comment. Obviously the company does make a bit more money off of these bundles, but they dont make that much in terms of profit. So the main reason is to deter scalpers.
@@NickB897 correct but customers almost always decline warranties since they're spending this much so the metrics that we are judged on suffer as a result
See I have asked like questions before and felt like shit about it because it was supposed to be quick but somehow it got like... Longer... And like bigger and more and I was panicking because I did not want to stress the employee at the mall out and he was probably panicking because he didn't want to talk to me in the first place and I had a meltdown in the bathroom. I have autism and a ton of PTSD specifically about men but I saw that employee after hours and he was saying he thought the whole thing was funny and he was sorry if he stressed me out and I was just like explaining what happened and now we are really close friends.
Looks like it happened for a reason then. Don’t stress to much in public dealing with people. People are just people, like you and I. We all feel anxiety and stress. We all get tired. We all get hungry. We all have had heartbreak, and tragedy. Just treat people the way you would like to be treated, and I promise that will usually come back around. Like your experience, you must have been very polite with the employee, or else you wouldn’t be friends now.
As a retail worker, I genuinely don’t understand why some people think we’re so fucking dedicated to the company. Especially when they say they’re gonna go to a rival store. Like, ok? Good for you man.
Some workers actually ARE dedicated and care...some realize their behavior represents the manager/s and the company as a whole. Not every retail worker is a stupid teen that couldn't care less or adult with the same attitude.
@@juggmkj You can be a dedicated hard worker, but that doesn't have to mean you hail the company you work for. I think the worst customer I ever had from working at Gamestop for 11 years was the guy that was so mad over something that he went in the corner and took a huge dump. Then his wife ran in and scooped it up with her bare hands and ran out screaming "I'm sorry." The guy eventually came back and said he'd "shoot" me when I got off work that day.
Shit, my boss would've demanded I call the cops for the shooting threat. Having to tell them "he also came in earlier and took a shit in the corner" would just be gravy at that point.
I've had the opposite happen one time. Once, I was in charge of "running" food out to customers, and I brought out an order to a lady in her car. I was nice to her and thanked her for her business and gave her a well-meaning, "drive safe," as I went back inside. After she's left for about 30 min, we get a call on the phones. She called back to tell my manager that her order was messed up, and proceeded to describe ME to my manager to spite me, I guess. I don't know if she has any clue bout how a restaurant works, but I just delivered the food to her car. I didn't cook, arrange, and deliver the food to her car.
“I’m just gonna come in and fuck shit up” is a threat. Even if he had a case and could sue GameStop, GameStop could sue him for literally threatening the worker and the manager. You don’t tell somebody you’re gonna come into their workplace and “fuck shit up”.
As a customer service employee, i agree. People are absolute scum, especially older people who will yell at you if you don't remember the exact RGB color code for their frozen caramel cappuccino.
It's absolutely fucking ridiculous, agreed. They either remember gas being a Quarter a gallon or have so much money that they think, "Oh, $5 can't possibly make a difference to the driver." Pisses me right off. In fact, today, a customer had a total of $22.30 for a cash order, gave me $30.30, and asked for the $8 back. I had to give out my own money because of it. Luckily, I was given that money back by the store, but it's stupid that even had to fucking happen.

In our store we once had two customers go at it and fight each other and naturally we called the Cops. But for other customers that wasn't enough, they were complaining "why won't you do anything about this! DO SOMETHING!!!", like we were security guards or some shit, like we were physically going to get involved and risk our own safety !? LOL
I used to work at a gas station where we weren't allowed to give people alcohol if they didn't have a valid ID (pretty reasonable), but we'd have alcoholics freak out and rage every day who forgot their ID and we were the only place that sold booze in town. We had a guy whip a bottle of vodka at an employee, and another one who - as he's raging at us - walk behind the counter and demand we open the register and took the money, walked out the door and got arrested. There was a homeless woman who we wouldn't give alcohol to, so to "get back at us" she started living in our bathroom. Another time a guy cut off one of the pump cables because he was pissed. There was also a human trafficking sting on my first day. I worked there for 2 years after that 9/10 job

Nothing makes me more happy then telling a customer something, them not believing you and asking for the manager, and for the manager to say the same thing prompting the customer to back down.
I work front counter and I’m also manager on duty. This is how it usually goes “Let me speak with the manager!” “You just did” they are instantly stun locked and I looove it
There were so many times I thought I was going insane at my job because of the customers but my manager was a friendly lady and loved to chat so we were always talking about the one customer who is visibly and audibly drunk trying to attack the poor girl working in drive up and go in aisle 7, or she would be straight up say with full confidence to the customer that they were wrong and they were in the store two days ago making the same scene so the manager says she doesn't "understand how they could've already forgotten and gotten so upset about it again" while in earshot of the same customer. It hit stronger than heroin
As someone that works gamestop, yes its a anti-scalping measure, if you want to return anything in the bundle you gotta return the whole bundle, you can trade in the items though if you wanted to.
That’s what confused me about this interaction I’m like “wait he has most of the bundle, he can probably ask for a trade for some of the products he’s returning” or literally just stop being a child and return the whole bundle like any rational human being would but then again I’ve never yelled or harassed customer service before like a knuckle dragging punk so what do I know
Basically they had a deal where if you bought a bundle of items you would get a PS5 for a fair price and this guy probably wanted to return all the pieces, get $300 back and keep the PS5 so he could resell it. Glad I'm not the only one who caught the actual scammer. :P
I worked retail/fast food for 6 years, mostly as a manager. And the absolute highlight of my days was getting to tell pissy customers no. I love how much the word "no" can absolutely cause a 30 year old man to melt down
Oh this guy wasn't having buyers remorse he was a scalper trying to get the extra money back for the bundle items and already sold the PS5 itself. So I'd say this anti-scalper method is working just fine.

Namely, if we had to wait for the doctor to authorize refills or send a prior authorization in, if we were busy and wouldn't be able to get their prescription ready in 0.03 seconds, if we didn't have a specific manufacturer in stock even if we had another of the same drug available, if the insurance company wouldn't cover name brand, or (my personal favorite) if they didn't like the price their own insurance company set for their drugs as if _we_ decided their Xanax was $200 dollars. Oh, you want to fill your prescription at Walgreens instead? Okay. Send them my regards. I'll see you in two months, Patricia.

@@Shizlgizl there are some good articles on it but to summarise. Your average scalper or bot can flip a ps5 pretty easy for huge profits. It's harder to shift is second hand games controllers and accessories. So instead of a scalper buying buying a 500 item selling it for 1000 he now has to pay 750 for a console. Then his more than likely stuck with the game. He could of course accept lower profits, or charge more but consumers are less likely to pay more for second hand stuff or for a premium product they don't need. A personal example is ufc in London. Tickets for cheap seats sell out in 2 minutes. Then get reposted on scalper sites with 500% mark up. What doesn't get scalped is the premium £1000 tickets, these are too heavily a cashflow layout with no guarantee of a return. Hus third option is what we most likely see above. Try n return all the useless stuff and not the console. Its generally thought that bundles do reduce scalpers but also hurt the consumer. Anyway hope that helps
@@elderrusty541 he said sealed and closed. That's not exact standard practice. Most places (in terms of gaming) allow you to return an item(s) if they're together, yes, but they don't necessarily require it to be completely unopened. How do you know you don't like it if you don't try it?
As someone who does work in retail and has to deal with people on a daily basis, I’m so happy you acknowledge and respect us for what we do and for putting up with peoples bullsh*t
I can only imagine how much worse retail got with supply line disruptions and inflation at all times high, not to mention the gas money people have to spend just to get to the store. No wonder they come in choosing violence.

Thank you so much for calling me a hero, Charlie. It means a lot. It's nice to know that someone appreciates what I did and actually empathises with what I had to put up with. Years ago I used to work for toys'r'us, specifically the video game sector, the abuse we got was daily. After four years I hung up the cape and moved on. I feel sorry for anyone who works in customer service. They really are overworked, underpaid, and worse unappreciated. Thanks again, Charlie.
It's never been a thing. Anyone who thinks 'the customer is always right' is a good way to do business deserves the imminent bankruptcy headed their way.
"The customer is always right" means "[when considering what products your consumers will want to buy], listen to what those customers say they want to buy instead of telling them what they want". Unfortunately, customers dont know this 🙄
I work in food service and our store gives customer's a 3 strike policy. If you refuse to listen and still continue to throw a tantrum and cause a scene after we've explained to you why we can't do whatever bs you're demanding we then politely tell you to leave. If you still refuse to leave it goes up to "get the fuck out" and then if you still refuse we then call the cops to have you removed and you are permanently banned from ordering at our store.
Ex gamestop employee here. I once had an interesting customer come in. He was wearing a plain white t shirt and a gold necklace that looked like it was for a kid. His hair was all spiked up aswell. He awkwardkly came up to the counter and asked to buy some used game. After he made the purchase i said "thank you for shopping at gamestop". After that he sort of just froze and stared at the ground for a bit. He then quickly blurted out "thank you beautiful" and ran off. Was very strange... but I wish he hadn't run away though, I was going to give him my number...
“suing the company” isn’t even a valid threat with what the customer is trying to achieve. it’s a return my dude, you can escalate to small claims court but that’s about it. “getting pressured into buying a bundle,” is on the customer who made the purchase, not Gamestop lol. dude came in hot thinking that would achieve what he wanted, when just being nice to the employee would have gotten it done.
I don’t miss working retail. Getting out of it was one of the best decisions of my life. Every time I thought a customer couldn’t get any worse, a new one would eventually show up and manage to be a bigger asshole. Retail really shows you the worst humanity has to offer
I don't think being nice would have helped much, employees are pretty bound by their policies, helping would have probably cost him money. On the other hand, where I live a ps5 is still pretty hard to get, so it wouldn't be unreasonable to say he could easily sell it for the same price online
@@Neysiriss nah dude, the gamestop I worked at would at least exchange the games (if unopened), or swap out the bundled games if you're polite and don't act like an asshole

As someone who worked at GameStop recently, I think it's important to note that you absolutely CAN get a refund. You *MUST* bring back all of the items included in the bundle, otherwise you will not be able to return it. There is no scam. There is no problem. You just need to bring back everything you purchased. He's trying to get away on a technicality because it lists the bundle as individual items on the receipt.
Hes trying to return the games, so he would have just bought the console straight up. I agree with others that he’s trying to scalp the playstation - the employee sounds like hes willing to swap out the games for him, but he only says he wants “store credit” presumably to pull this scam again
Can confirm as well. I have, and will continue too have, so many of these transactions since the bundles released lol. Everything just had too come back to us and we will all have a beautiful time and have celebration for the refund being given! But it gets difficult with no cooperation even when we try to go above and beyond to try and help the guest. But that retail for ya!
This was actual tame compared to the people coming through McDonald's ordering a single big Mac and throwing ketchup packets everywhere because they had a free apple pie coupon with any purchase of a MEAL. Customer service needs a raise.
When I worked at Mcdonalds (mind you I wasn't even the person who served this woman her food, I was on front counter and this was in drive thru) I had gone to help out some of my coworkers with their orders since mine were done, and they needed help bagging. So I helped out bagging their food however this woman wanted extra sauce. Now at my specific Mcdonalds (idk about others) there was a 25 cent charge for additional sauce. But the woman purposely asked after having already ordered and paid to avoid the minimal charge. So she basically just wanted a bunch of free sauce, and my coworker rung her up at her register instead, told her that would be 25 cents, and the woman tripped shit. All three of us, my coworker, myself, and my manager had to watch as this woman not only threw her strawberry milkshake on us, but then also threw her food back on us in a fit of rage. On top of this I've experienced plenty of other things like verbal harassment, literal threats, and sexual harassment in my time working at Mcdonalds. I worked for about 6-8 months (since I was waiting to turn 18 at the time) and was making minimum wage (7.25). :)

Worked in the back processing orders and even I wasn't safe from the bs that is "customer privilege". Had some big Samoan guy threaten us and our assistant manager (?) for what was probably some miscommunication between them and Hardware - some sort of treadmill mishap. I just wanted to get some other guy situated and out from pick-up since he was just awkwardly sitting there in the same room. That's when the guy asked what I was going to do about this situation, and I told him that I don't know the situation and just had an order for another person. He weirdly didn't say anything about that, but continued to hammer my assistant manager (?) - asking for the manager because "she's dumb and knows nothing". It got to the point where she called the cops and they just left while throwing insults at us. Guy was really trying to pick a fight.

1:20 When I worked at a bigger retail store, I actually had someone tell my manager and I that we were going to hear from their lawyer, and I remember being like "okay? And?" and my manager told them exactly how to spell his name as well as told him that since they wanted to make it a legal issue we could no longer talk to them, and they'd have to call corporate. IDK if that's a general corporate thing or just the company i worked for, but honestly after that i low-key wished belligerent customers would threaten legal action so i wouldn't have to deal with them.
Threatening the cashier of a Gamestop for a lawsuit of the corporation is baffling. I don't think a single employee cares if some lunatic is suing their company unless it's the legal team.

Never give out anyone’s hours or schedule, because as this man said he’s going to F stuff up, and that could be anywhere from another a little petty complaint like this to an armed situation
That was my first thought. I'm a manager at a retail store and I would have been pissed if someone gave out my personal schedule! I'm only allowed to give schedules to direct family members, but even then I usually reach out to my associates so that they can share that information with the person asking. That way I'm not involved anymore. And yeah, why would you give an angry person the date and time to find someone they want to confront?!?! Idiotic move and more people need to be aware of this!!!
@@Brucifer2 It's actually not illegal because it's the manager. As someone who works as a cashier the sheer shock in some people's eyes when I say "no" is like they've never heard that word in their life. Also for all those tough guys out there, threatening to beat me up does not make me want to provide service to you if I already didn't want to.

4:45 That's actually correct. Gamestop implemented the bundle system for PS5s and XBOX Series X due to the scalpers taking all consoles. Whenever a scalper buys the bundle and tries to return the games and accessories, Gamestop will refuse the refund/return unless they bring every item included in said bundle. Pretty genius imo
That's the funny part, if he was really convinced he was 'scammed', he could've gotten all his money back by returning everything, he just didn't want to give up the console lol
Gamestop has used hard to get consoles in the past to sell items in a bundle. As good as a deterrent it is for scalpers, I think the bundles are used to make a profit off things that aren't selling as well alone. I remember getting my Majora's Mask 3DS when they were hard to come by and got a lack luster game due to the bundle (can't remember the name of the game but I think it had Abraham Lincoln on it for some reason). It sucks but it beats buying it from a scalper.

This takes me back to my days working the service desk at jewel-Osco. Customers would tell me I deserved to be fired for shit like not taking expired coupons or an item being out of stock ( as if we were hoarding extra stock in the back ). Being called a racist when people tried to do gift card scams and the computer system literally would not process the transaction but the customers thought if they just called me a bigot that would somehow make me override the entire computer failsafe system to stop scams. Lmao as if I was even able to do that….. on the flip side though, I will say it was soooo refreshing on the rare occasions when you would get some sweet old lady who would ask for the simplest thing. Like ask where the bread is. You walk her over to the aisle and she’s like eternally grateful for it. As a retail manager I love dealing with these types of customers now that I am confident in policies. It’s almost therapeutic in a way because I get to protect my team if they were getting harassed by said customer, solve a problem to make a customer’s day, or more often, tell them off. Regardless, ain’t no way in hell I’m gonna argue with someone who treats me or my team like garbage.
I remember once during my 5-year tenure as a gas station / convenience store employee, we had someone try to return a pair of sunglasses that they had clearly sat on. Like, the frames were *bent* and one of the lenses was completely popped out. I told him we can't return that, we can only accept defects, not damage, for returns. I also calmly explained that this is a vendor policy, not a store policy - they will not give credit for damaged items, so if we accept the return, we are then taking it as a loss. He pulled the whole shebang, "I've been a loyal customer for blah blah years and I can't believe I'm being treated this way, I want to talk to a manager" and I said "Sir I can get my manager, but I can guarantee he's going to tell you the same thing I did." The best part is that my manager was in the back, seeing and hearing all this on the CCTV in the office, so when I finally go get him, he just gives me a little smile and nod and does his best to tell the customer about the policy *word for word* the way I told him. Once it was clear he wasn't getting his way, he left and his broken sunglasses were still there on the counter. The manager and I had a good laugh about it as we examined the sunglasses and just how clearly this had been due to physical damage. I wasn't a manager at the time, but I had been working there for over 4 years so I was very confident in my knowledge and understanding of store policy. I think the guy was taken aback when I didn't immediately fold. That and I knew the manager was a reasonable guy who almost always sided with the employees in these cases (because the customer is actually wrong like 99.5% of the time)

I really appreciate what Charlie said about retail workers, it actually means a lot to hear that from actual intelligence-wielding human beings. My store specifically goes through so much tomfoolery we might as well change our dress code to rainbow wigs and rubber noses. Piles of clothes on the floor drenched in piss, blood-stained graffiti on the walls, fitting rooms with hundreds of jeans and shirts being left in there inside-out, etc. It's crazy that the worst part about retail work that makes people leave are the people you're supposed to assist. I genuinely believe there are people out there who will just go into a store to harass a random worker for nothing that they were to blame for just for kicks
Dude, everyone should work retail and 'maybe' they will never treat customer service employees so poorly. Like when I used to work retail, there were multiple times that people literally shat in the middle of the bathroom floors and one notable time where it was like a poopnado in the men's bathroom. Like someone smeared it everywhere. This was a store catering towards working adults, not kids.
Here is tame story where I actually succeeded in turning away a bad return, and I hopefully changed the customer's ways. I once refused a return of rain boots (maybe 25 dollars) with a receipt. We were about to close for the night, and the this youngish guy and his buddy came into the store with some rain boots. The boots were filthy and caked in wet mud. They hadn't even hosed the boots off. The receipt indicated that the dude had just bought the boots in the morning. When asked if there was something wrong with the boots he said "there is nothing wrong with them I just changed his mind'. I told him that I could not put the boots back on the shelf to sell in their current condition, and that he needed to (at least) clean the mud off them before returning them. He was big mad cursing under his breath that I didn't take his muddy boots. I remember telling him- 'I cannot sell these like this. Do you expect me to clean and wash the boots for you?' He was just pink in the face. He was so used to just doing things like this, and was stunned that I refused. The guy's buddy laughted and outted him. His buddy admitted that the guy had just bought the boots that morning for snow tubing and proudly said he was just going to return them to get his money back after tubing. A few days later the original guy did come back, but this time he had actually cleaned the boots. He wouldn't look at me in the eye. We took them back and gave him the refund. I think he won't do that again.
Worked at McDonalds for a summer, many of my female co workers were called slurs for “forgetting” food or drinks they didn’t order, and as a person with anxiety and autism, I’m not great at handling those situations and it shouldn’t be my job to!! Insane how we stop becoming people, but as two different damn species “the customer” or “the employee”
It's ok. My last straw at McDonald's was a customer calling our staff racial slurs over forgetting one big Mac and full on threatening a minor coworker telling her she was gonna jump her. Like dude WTF she's 16 and you're like, 30. She kept saying something along the lines of "It's because you're hiring immigrants who can't speak English. That's why my order is messed up." As well as using the W word. Like what the fuck. Maybe if you weren't a raging C U Next Tuesday, we'd be more inclined to help. She had a huge order too so obviously it would be an easy misunderstanding and fix. She demanded a full refund.
"The customer is always right" saying doesn't even mean what most people use it for. It's basically like, "if the customer wants to but a shitty hat, they can buy a shitty hat if they want." It doesn't mean that the customer can do whatever the fuck they want and can be entitled to do so. Props to that employee holding up his GameStop like a Soulsborne enemy holding up the final front and staying chill as fuck. As for Gamestop credit, I've had some luck with it, back when I did it a few years ago, I saw that it's optimal to wait for a promo of sorts. I was able to get I think a couple dollars more for each game that was worth like 3 dollars or something. When you have a bunch of old physical games you won't play enymore, that shit can really stack on the amount you get back. But that was a while ago, and I haven't done it since, so it probably still sucks, if not more

"Do you want to pre-order Call of Duty Ghosts? It's only eight bucks."

They wanna just make them scared.
As an employee at GameStop for over a year.. we have to sell PS5’s in bundles because Sony wants to deter scalpers. So yes Charlie was right.
yup sad but true and all he had to do was contact gamestop online, and they would return it VIA UPS/FEDEX. This scalper dumb as hell LOL
That plus it drastically inflates Gamestops attach numbers, which they care very much for.
@Dont go to my page ok

I work in pharmacy and this one lady came in and wanted a prescription, we couldn't give it to her because the stock on the item is low (semaglutide), we said we couldnt give it to her because its a private prescription and we have reserves then she said "I'm a nurse and you don't know what you're talking about" and at the start of this encounter she also asked "Do you have this in stock, ask the pharmacist because you wouldnt know what it is" I was stunned by this crazy lady and she just started swearing and 5 or so minutes later she stormed out and snatched the script from my hand. Honestly some people are crazy
I used to work in pharmacy too. Nurses were some of the worst patients. They thought they knew more about our jobs than us. Had one come in once who flipped her lid because we wouldn't dispense her percocet prescription. (In case you live under a rock and are unaware, percocet is a powerful painkiller and a _very_ controlled substance.) For legal reasons, we had to document in her terms what it was being used to treat, and she claimed it was for cough. Not only was that not what the doctor indicated on the prescription, percocet is _not_ used for a simple cough. She started screaming and threatened our jobs and physical violence. She demanded to speak to the manager, who, surprise surprise, was actually the pharmacist who was already speaking with her, and when she realized she wasn't getting anywhere, she shouted a big, "Fuck you all!" and ran away to the service desk up front (it was a chain retail pharmacy) to tattle on us to the head store manager. They listened to her side of the story and ours, and after three seconds of deliberation, they decided we weren't in the wrong. (Shocker.) Lady was promptly banned from the pharmacy.
The real kicker in this whole thing is that she didn't cough even once in the ten minutes she was arguing with us. Not even while straining her voice screaming. Like, percocet for cough? _What_ cough?
In the ego to intelligence ratio, nurses be winning

Ex-gamestop employee here, You cannot return items that were bundled with the system and you can’t even trade them in, Charlie was right this is an anti-scalping measure they made when PS5s were hard to find. God Bless that employee for standing his ground he did everything right.
You can return them actually. You just can’t have opened the console, serial numbers have to match, and all other items included in the bundle have to be sealed and included with the return.
@@FamousWF so if you didn't like the console or games, you're SOL? even if everything is back in there mint condition? That kinda sucks...
@@kiyokumabear well that’s standard practice, bundles must be sold and therefore returned together

They would just praise you like you just saved their cat from a burning building or something when all I did was walk them to an aisle. But it was always sooo nice and wholesome. Lol

He pulled the whole shebang, "I've been a loyal customer for blah blah years and I can't believe I'm being treated this way, I want to talk to a manager" and I said "Sir I can get my manager, but I can guarantee he's going to tell you the same thing I did."
The best part is that my manager was in the back, seeing and hearing all this on the CCTV in the office, so when I finally go get him, he just gives me a little smile and nod and does his best to tell the customer about the policy *word for word* the way I told him.
That and I knew the manager was a reasonable guy who almost always sided with the employees in these cases (because the customer is actually wrong like 99.5% of the time)
We need more managers like you in this world!
The "I'll sue your company" is hilarious because you know full well the dude recording wouldn't give a hoot if their company got sued either

Ah yes, the "I'll sue the company" threat. Had someone use that on me when I worked retail and I told them "well sir, if you think it's wise to spend tens of thousands of dollars on lawyer fees to sue over a $25 shirt I can give you the number to our legal department."

I mean there's nothing wrong with asking them where something is that's what they're there for. As long as your polite and say please, thank you etc.
I work at a customer job my self. don't worry about making things worse. Just being polite usually makes our days 100x better and besides that's why we're there
oddly wholesome but don't worry man!! some of the best parts of my shift are interacting with nice customers, even if there's a problem as long as you're nice it's a great change of pace from other people with no decency at all lol
Already been said but I’ll say it again. Trust me if you’re being nice and respectful you’re the best part of the job. Dealing with a customer who respects us and treats us well is almost as good as straight up taking a break. Makes me feel much more relaxed and allows me to take a deep breath. Trust me dude, you’re good.
I'm hoping the "blood-stained graffiti" is just slang for "period mishap"
If not, I would have left that day
😅😐

But that was a while ago, and I haven't done it since, so it probably still sucks, if not more
Yeah, I hate when people try to use "The customer is always right" to justify their shitass behaviour to the employees, like wtf dude why are you bullying the employees? They have to sit there and tolerate people like you whilst some of them get minimum wage.
