This is the best review I've seen for this. Thorough, honest, not an advert, gets to the point quickly without waffle. 10/10 review. As for the pad itself, I bought a white one, arriving in 2 days - I am going on a pretty rigorous programme of exercise with a £2,000 lifestyle coach who wants me to walk 10,000 steps per day. Not feasible with my working pattern, but absolutely doable with a walking pad. I've just sold another model because a) the plug didn't detach for easy movement, b) it did not fold. So I think WalkingPad C2 will do me well! Exciteed!
Decent review, thank you - covered many things other reviews have not. Especially appreciate the tip on the fingerprints, that would be drive me insane.
hello, greatings from Costa Rica. Thanks for the review, one question I want to buy this model to walk 1h daily at max speed (6 km/h) and once I finished, my wife will walk another hour (not max speed), do you think this model is good for this?
@@jimmyjamieson7504 yes, it should be good for this. I generally walk for a couple of hours per day while working, and it's not an issue. Also, there aren't profiles or anything like that, so you just set it to the desired speed and walk.
Yes, I've continued to use it at least a few times per week and the only maintenance has been adding some oil to the belt when it starts to squeak. No issues for the past 3 years at this point.
Hi, great review! Question: is there any fan in the treadmill that turns on after 1/2/3min? I had walkingpad a1 pro and fan noise was terrible, needed to return it.
Hi @Product Impressions. Thanks for this review. May I ask if it is easy to type on a keyboard and also to read text on the display while you are working? Does your monitors shake more when you walk and type at the same time compared to only standing and typing?
You tend to walk fairly slowly while working, so I don't have an issue with it generally. The Pad is not in contact with the desk, so it doesn't shake. The only times that I need to stop walking are when I'm working on a report or something like that which requires more intense focus.
I purchased a Walkingpad A1 PRO, I realized, after 4 minutes of walking, how a cooling fan starts to blow air and it's pretty noisy. Now I know it's a known issue many people describes. This model has a similar problem?
I do still use it, though not as much as I did initially. It went through a brief period where the motor seemed much louder than it was initially, but that seemed to resolve within a couple of days.
awesome video, thank you for taking the time do do this! Did you feel like it was wide enough for you to walk comfortably? And is there energy note about its energy consumption?
Thanks! I do find it to be wide enough. I was also concerned about the width when I first saw it, but it has been fine in use. I don't have any info on the energy consumption, sorry.
FYI I was told you don't have to download the app to unlock all the features and top speed. Instead, you can walk on it for 1 mile first, then turn the power button off, then back on again, and that should unlock all the features/top speed. Please let us know if anyone tries this if it is successful.
Good review, I appreciate the practical considerations. I'm a bit concerned about the lack of a handrail. I'm sure it's not a problem when using it on a desk (the desk itself becomes the handrail), but what about using it on its own? I wouldn't want to stare down the whole time to make sure I'm not stepping outside the belt. My guess is that it would not be great for the neck.
I've used it while watching TV as well, and it is something you get used to. If you have any balance issues, I wouldn't recommend using it while watching TV... I've definitely stumbled a couple of times from stepping off of the belt.
I have the same concerns and I think I will want to place it close enough to a wall or something sturdy within arm's reach so I can reach out at any time for stability, especially getting on and off it.
Well, as an update, I still use it a few times each week. I've had to oil the pad when it started squeaking a couple of times, but that's about it for maintenance. Also, thanks for the compliment on the guitars. I have a video of building the blue one from a kit. I've played for a long time and still really enjoy it. :)
Yes, everything is still working nicely. I'd say I use it about 3-4 hours per week depending on my schedule. I have needed to lubricate the belt, but that's basically all I've done for maintenance.
@@ProductImpressions Thanks for such a fast reply. With Amazon reviews being mixed on every treadmill it's great to get a long-term update from somebody actually using it! Cheers
What about cheap plastik smell? Is it an issue? I tried another one and sadly the smell was unbearable, caused throat irritations, too, so I send it back and now Im looking for a better one. Hopefully this is okay
I noticed a little bit of a plastic smell when it arrived, but nothing bad, just the smell of a new product. It has dissipated and I don't notice any smell at all now.
Question, can I download the app on my desktop or does it have to be on my mobile? I am concerned as I don't have any memory left on my phone. Once again, thank you so much for this informative review. I am highly considering purchasing this model.
I don't think there is a way of doing this through the desktop. If the space matters to you, I'd recommend just using the app on your phone to unlock the full features of the treadmill, then deleting the app. If you have the remote that comes with the treadmill, then you won't need the app after the set-up.
The app only seems to keep data for a single day. I haven't typically used the app since setting up the treadmill, but it only appears to have today's data, so it is either only keeping data on days that the app is opened, or cuts data when the treadmill is unplugged. Probably just keeping days where it is opened. As to the guitars, thanks! I actually have a video of building the blue guitar in front, and have a couple of other guitar kits that I'm working on.
i had one (not this one, it was german model) about 3 years ago. Long story short - I spilled a glass of water and it died. How does this one handle drops of water? Understandably, it was my mistake because i dont think any treadmill is waterproof if you spill and entire glass of water but how about drops?
I don't have a scale to weigh it right now, but I'd say closer to the 55 pounds. Also, you can move it by rolling it, so you're not just picking up all of the weight.
Great review of the walking pad 👍🏻 Has the mobile app improved or are you not using the app at all? Just wondered if it is still crashing and if the app has been updated.
Thanks for the review😀 I bought a treadmill that became faulty after 5 weeks. Obviously it is not a geat product all. I was using it 5-6 hours a day while working. You posted this video in January as I was wondering if you are still happy with the walkingpad C2?
Yes, I am happy with it. I still use it about 4x per week, and have only needed to lube the surface a couple of times. The only issue I've noticed, and it's not much of one, is that when I leave it on for a long time, it will come on and switch from manual to automatic, then it turns off again.
Based on the research I did prior to buying this one, I think they are basically the same. There are different model numbers for different markets, but if I recall correctly the C2 and the A1 may be the same (unless there is an A2, where that one is likely the same as the C2). Basically, you are correct that they are likely the same product.
Really, think twice before you buy and try it. The object is so so heavy and difficult to move that you are put off before even using it. As a result, you don't use it or hardly ever !

I do not believe so, but since the max speed is all of 6km, there's not a lot of conversions to do... 😉

Yes, you can. I routinely set this up under my desk and use it while working. Typing or using a mouse is not a problem, particularly at low speeds.
