one critique, not just of this stream but all best of 7s (including chess), is if a player is up 3-1 and there's 15 mins left in the stream, it kind of gives away who won just by the fact they couldn't play 3 more games in the 15 mins
i agree with serral as goat for reasons stated, but also, one thing people never notice is that serral gets more death groups than anyone. so even when he wins or loses, it's usually harder than for everyone else. I do agree though that when reynor won his worlds, it was in a death group too.
The third game really highlights why I hate Queens so much. In game 2, Clem spent the whole game on the back foot because he left Serral alone to do whatever he wanted until around 6 minutes. In game 3, Serral was able to mass nearly 30 Roaches and do nothing with them for almost 8 minutes and Clem wasn't able to capitalize because a handful of Queens completely shut down his attempted scouting/aggression. If Clem had been able to get in there and find the roaches, that game definitely goes for a lot longer, but 5 Queens always seem to beat any Terran scouting party.
Clem is so good... and made so many smallish mistakes. He made Serral look very good, 3(+1) to 1 makes it seem closer than it really was imo. It seems like Clem couldn't handle the pressure of the game, and handed Serral wins. No one, not even Clem, can make mistakes like that against the GOAT.
Serral did plenty of mistakes as well, especially in the last game and still won. He didn't make Serral look very good, he is very good, man. Clearly your bets were on Clem but it doesn't sit right with me to downplay Serrals win here even if it was unintentional.
