    Whisky.com reviews the Craigellachie 13 years. Original bottlings have also been available from the Craigellachie distillery since 2014. In addition to the 13-year-old, a 17- and a 23-year-old Malt are also available.
    The distillery continues to use traditional worm tubs to cool the distillate. They give the Whisky a special taste.

    Whenever Horst says "intense", it makes me want to buy the whisky. :-D

    I love this whisky and I find it unique in that it has a big middle profile. The beginning and the finish are gentle.

    I've only tried one dram but it left me wanting to have more. Love those drams that have a kick in them.

    Greeting from Australia, this is one of my favourite, love it especially the bottle , it has a 16th century kinda of look and weight.

    Fascinating video! The point about sulfur flavours is very interesting, am curious to let my palate try and find it in this whisky!

    Excellent review as usual. I was a little worried that your shorter reviews were becoming a normality, glad to see otherwise.

    My local metal pub keeps a bottle for me. I once asked if anyone else buy this whisky and the owner said no, but he restock because I like it 😛

    You look tenser in your recent videos. In your older videos, you were more open, your body posture was way more relaxed. In the new videos, your arms are always crossed. In particular, in the video titled: "Whisky Review/Tasting: Highland Park 12 years", just the body language was different. But I still enjoy your reviews and your voice and I will keep watching as long as you keep making them.

    Smell wise- I got lot of HEADACHES every time I nosed this Craigellachie 13, or as soon as I even get my nose close to it...my true story!
    I don't know what caused it, it could be the Sulphur he describes, so for me, the nose part was quite a turn-off.
    Taste wise- I bought a bottle just over a year ago; the taste, especially when first opening was extremely rough/alcoholic, but when it got 1/2 bottle (after oxidation), it started to taste *significantly* better and much more "sherried"-like. It's a full-bodied malt with an alcoholic edge.
    Intense? Yes absolutely; both nose and taste-wise.
    I rated it 87/100 (personal rating).

    Thank you for this review! I work at a liquor store and I hosted a tasting of a couple Scotches this evening. We have this bottle on our shelves and it has caught my eye for some time. I think it may be my next...or the Uigeadail.

      Get the Craig. I found the Uigeadail to be disappointing and it seems I'm not alone.

    Is it normal for a beginner not being able to taste the flavors mentioned in this whisky ?

    • @Whiskycom
      @Whiskycom  26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes, that is perfectly normal. Your taste buds have to get used to whisky. When you first start drinking whisky, you can usually only taste the alcohol. The more you drink whisky, the more your tongue gets used to the taste and blocks out the taste of the alcohol, allowing you to taste all the subtle flavours.

    You gotta do something about the sensitivity of your mic. Love the content, do not love the swishing sounds when swirling whiskey in your mouth. Nails on a chalk board

    I can’t take this review seriously. Fresh open neck pour that got to breathe for maybe a minute before down the gullet. Who chews whisky?

    • @kongking4086
      @kongking4086 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well actually I chew whisky too so yes there are people doing this. But I agree with you that a neck pour can’t fully represent the whisky
