    Whisky.com reviews the Craigellachie 17 years. The Craigellachie distillery still distils its Whisky in traditional copper worm tubs. A lot of value is also placed on the quality of barley. This original bottling was stored in oak casks for over 17 years.

    Wow! these are 150 to 163 USD. You all are lucky to get it for 80-90 pounds.

    Happy Easter everyone , Master ! This is indeed a great Scotch. I purchased it about 6 months ago when most SAQ's here in Montreal were out of Glenfarclas 17 years old ! It's very solid bottle. You will enjoy this excellent product ! Great review and comments.

    Great review as always! It must've tasted very good for Horst to say "very good" while he was tasting it! Need to keep an eye on this one 😊

    4:35 Craigellachie is definitely the “beast” of Speyside.

      @@onYTsince2008 personally I’d say that when it comes to sherried whisky from worm tubs nothing beats Edradour. This Speyside style works better with Craigellachie, not to mention the extra abv over Mortlach...

    I actually think this does have some added colour

      It's fair to say that if there is no mention of "Natural colour/No added colour" on either the box or the bottle; then it could be for sure!

    Unfortunately where I live this is very expensive for what you get. It is even more expensive than the Glendronach 18 year old which in my opinion is totally superior in every way.

      It all depends on taste.. I prefer it less sherry but with more spice and citrus flavor that works for me

    It's good but I think there's better for the money. I prefer the 13 which is half the price.

    • @David4.14
      @David4.14 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Price is far too subjective when it comes to whisky. Personally I think the 17 year old is worth the extra £40 over the 13 yo. The 23 yo and 31 is a completely different story...

    • @welshtoro3256
      @welshtoro3256 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@David4.14 I understand why you like the 17 and it should, after all, be better. I like it too but age in whisky is not the final arbiter. I think that style works better at 13 years. I prefer Dewers Aultmore 18 to the Craigellachie 17 but it's personal of course.

    • @David4.14
      @David4.14 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@welshtoro3256 agreed, age is certainly not the deciding factor. In any case there is a lot of competition in the £90-100 bracket. Cask is king in my humble opinion.
