Great job! That is the first time I've seen a Benchmade disassembly with long nails, and you did it quicker than a lot of them! Just a tip that sometimes helps me is I will cut a cotton swap in half and stick it in the Axis lock while it's pulled back, so it stays in the pulled back position. Sometimes it helps get everything lined up quicker. First time I ever did it took me like 45 minutes haha.
The professional level of Kitty Claw dexterity on display here is truly astounding!! I have so many questions regarding those elegant talons of yours, Nickie... Like, are the sparkly silver nails on your pointer fingers designated specifically for opening up envelopes? Are the maroon nails with the bejeweled flower motif on your middle fingers assigned explicitly for producing an, ummm, "explicit" response when someone cuts you off in traffic? The purplish/blue Indigo colored nails (which coincidentally, match Erica's Devium shirt here) on your thumbs, ring and pinky fingers are categorically delegated for knife maintenance duties, because you did such an amazing job taking this knife apart and putting it back together again!!! That watch looks fabulous on your wrist, btw!! Great video!! 💜💙🤍❤
Yes the bejeweled middle finger really gives me that edge, it really adds some wow factor when I am responding to the actions of some of the amazing stunts performed by the locals! I was very proud of myself, even did a little ‘jig’ off camera for this one! 🤣
If you ease that axis lock back just a little bit when your pushing out the pivot it will literally slide right out with almost zero force. The same thing is true when you get everything put back together and lined up. You can insert your pivot and get it through that "D" shaped liner and then ease that axis bar back a little bit and the pivot will slide right through like butter. A few years back I learned that easing that axis bar back takes a bunch of tension of the pivot area and since then I haven’t had to beat or bang to get pivots out of Benchmades!!
I love it!! The blackout version is sweet looking!

I don’t know how you did that (or anything) with those nails.
