Shane's video should have been an escape plan. I had no idea who she was prior to that, but the problems are glaring. She's not going to get better where she's at, and it just feels like you're watching the end of her life. It is heartbreaking.

@@DarkAmenandWhiteAmen This girl has hard mental problems and she doesn't even know it. If you've ever read about how anorexia works, you know how it can destroy someone with it. Her mother takes advantage of her daughter's mental illness to attract people's attention. If no one gets this girl out of that house soon, she will die. Her mother seems to "keep her alive" in that terrible conditions ... It's something inhuman. So yeah, her mother is a big part of the problem.
We grew up bruh the scene is gone, we all have kids and jobs now just with an incredible sense of fashion and gorgeous hair 🤷🏽♀️

I actually felt at peace when emos were a thing. It wasn’t all about wanting to die, I was so into emos tbh. It was metal as shit
i actually had a class with tyler hagen and saw him at the local bar once... never was able to talk to him bc I wasn't sure how to approach him.
I grew up on that TH-cam and miss it...
A lot of people call it cringe, but really it's people being themselves no matter how others thoughts. When people call it cringe and then dress in 21 Forever or American Eagle; I'd call them cringe for being a cliche. I just love people being creative and having a good time!
Emos can be pretty cliche too though

I'm so sad that I wasn't old enough to comprehend the idea of being scene or emo because I think it's something I would have totally gotten into. I was like 7 or 8 with unsupervised Internet. Maybe if I actually used that tumblr and DeviantArt account I made I could found this stuff way sooner and be into it now. I'd sell my soul to go back to the early 2010s to be honest. But that's why I'm getting into the stuff that was old and fucked up little kids like how Cupcakes and all those videos fucked me up, the experience was something else and I loved it.
I feel the same IDC if it's nostalgic to me it's so much more than that. People were different.

Please don't use Eugenia Cooney as your thumbnail. Especially when she is so unwell and is trying to recover. Seeing old images of herself could really set back any recovery progress she's made.

This quarantine has me reminiscing so much like I was literally thinking about this a couple days ago. I decided watch MDE again and just emo TH-cam in general. I was laughing so much, but then I started crying because I realized my life was so much simpler back then and so care free. I had the time of my life from 2014-2016 (I know it was a short period, but those were some fun times)

It's sad seeing the slow death of an Era. I have to admit I can't even call myself an emo anymore. 2013-17 was my prime emo days and like you said, I got older and things changed. But every few months I'll blast my old emo mix and reminisce. Sad to see a community once so strong slowly go away. Good to see your still keeping the ways alive.

I know there's been a lot of sh*t about Bryan. Honestly the whole drama around the whole MDE breakup made me stop coming on youtube for years, I had my hands full handling my own life, and what used to be my escape was now al negativity.. but anyway, I'm honestly glad to hear he's doing alright, living his life. His interview are even what got me into basically all the other youtubers back in the day, and they all helped me to keep going, you included. I feel like I owe him a lot, and yeah, I'm just glad to hear he's living his life, so thanks for mentioning him

tbh "emo" has mostly devolved into the occasional "goth" channel, like ToxicTears, ItsBlackFriday, JadeTheLibra, or EmilyBoo. Most of them do fashion or makeup vlogs now. Brands like Killstar, BlackCraft Cult, and Dollskill are super prevalent to that "goth" look. While overpriced fashion makes for a very contrived scene, I will admit I'm grateful that there is still somewhat of a community out there, even tho it can be toxic at times.
Johnnie Guilbert is still here, also I think Eugenia is still around, just less active?
She is around just less active because of backlass from people so less is better for her is what she's exsplained in one of her YouNow videos when I asked her why she has been less active because I was concerned
He’s still here but his views...when you used to get hundreds of thousands to a million views and now can barely scrape past 10k your channel’s dead. Everything he does doesn’t get much attention anymore. To the point where he click-baited constantly for views and was where I dropped off because it was sad seeing how far he had fallen.
I’m still emo, always will be. TH-cam however has made it clear there’s no place for our scene anymore.

I cannot tell you how the hell I got here at 2:15 a.m. and is in no way shape or form involved in the emo scene. familiar with the Bands but not the baggage, now with that said I just wanted to say that the guy that did this video puts off really good vibes and is trying to keep the scene alive and and well and if more kids jumped into the scene with this kind of passion y'all would take over the world. And I want to take my hat off to him about the comment of mental health and just do what you do as long as you're happy. I enjoyed this thank you

I will admit, it's taken me years to pay attention to you or any emo screamo from the 2000+ Era.... Your comment back in the day... gets to me because my back in the days i was 90s a punk. Every color hair and plus some lol, omg... so glad I grew out of it. And I can't tell you how many haters chucked soda because I wasn't afraid to venture expression. I just can't say i was technically goth... punk... the start of the emo era.... anyway.... Back in the day before that was goth, punk, whatever else from several other decades, they just didn't have social media. I remember when emo even became a thing and "Scene Kids" were popping up like fucking daisies, for being sad little twerps, they sure mad the world happy with their pretty emo colors. Anyway, I spent the night checking out your content after a really long time of ignoring it. LOL I hope all the drama in your life has finally moved on because as a musician, you're a beautiful creature. I hope you moved on from underage girls because women just should have a more pleasing vibe. And, I hope you grew up enough to leave the drama to someone else's baby mama and as I listen to your music, I don't have to hear you crying about your exes. Cheers.
