I watched this back when it came out, and I am 18 currently, and this video hit so hard. Last semester, I went to university for physics and math and I was dead the entire way through right from the beginning. Like those two were my favourite subjects, and I was failing. It literally destroyed me. I've never had such a hard time, and everyone around me seemed like they were doing great. Like what was wrong with me? I realized late into the semester that it was okay to just calm down, and work on yourself. I wasnt failing because I was stupid -it was the 'boss' in my head that'd berate me constantly. By the end of the sem, my life got improved when I just let myself be free. Giving myself some love was the only reason I passed.
Growing up means you're your own boss, but when that boss hates the shit out of you, you'd remember how nice it was when someone else who cared about you was in control. But I do want my own life, and I guess understanding how to love yourself is apart of adulthood.

Here's the thing: laundry and dishes aren't chores, they're cycles. You clean the stuff to put it away to use it to clean it, etc. I think it's much easier to do them that way
Tommyinnit
th-cam.com/video/9iUk-ebag6U/w-d-xo.html
For me personally, that's worse
There is no way to look at chores or cycles, that makes them better. Especially not with my family. We go OUT to eat for dinner and *still* somehow wind up with a sink full of dishes by midnight....somehow. THey are never ending here lol. I legit loathe doing dishes.
Hey it’s really hard with my situation.
Now that I’m 23, it’s hard figuring life out sometimes and I stress myself out. As I continue to grow up into the early teens, I’ve been seeing a lot of people I graduated high school with already have degrees, dream jobs, starting families etc, I would always have a feeling as if I’m not making progress in life. I still feel that way sometimes, but something that I just tell myself is that everyone figures out their life at their own pace. Remember that each of our journeys are different, so never compare yourself to other people. We will all figure it out eventually! Explore and enjoy the moments during this stage of life, you will get to where you need to be!

You'll find your passion. I've been lost searching for what has felt like ages, coming to closed doors and missed opportunities. But so long you don't quit looking, you're bound to find something. Maybe try thinking about what truly makes you happy in life, is it money or your own happiness? I pursue music in hopes of being happy and living a fulfilled life, whether I have money or not because I am passionate about it. It took years to muster up the courage to do it, but I promise once you get there you will feel euphoria. Just keep swimming my friend, water might be rough but it's a constant stream down the way.

Becoming and adult was the best thing that had happen to me. I am now 28 and i would never even dream of comming back to school. The only thing i can agree is being tired part. I work out and run regularly and yet i still feel tired.
The food part is easily fixable. The most healthy dishes are the most basic ones and it never takes too much time (like idk, potatoes eggs and salad or rice and chicken)
The only problem with life is that it sometimes becomes so comfortable that you might lose the will to even do stuff.

I remember being in my mid-20s and having no idea, being overwhelmed and afraid of life. But at the same time, I had the most fun ever between 25 and 32. Now that I'm in my mid-30s, I'm more focused on my career, having a nice home and my relationship. On the weekends I hardly go out to have fun, it's more like, "I need to fix my yard, it needs to be ready for summer parties!".
But yea... all in all I see life more relaxed. There are still parts that I'm confused or clueless about, but I realized that we all just have no idea about certain areas of life, so just ask around. Someone will know the answer to your problem, just as you have some advice for others.

Puberty Platypus's last segment was so realistic. Everyone expects that after high school one's vision for life would clear up no matter how little it does but it really hits you hard when you don't really feel any different than you did back then.
For me media addiction also compounds these issues since I don't really get anything done despite having no obligations (maybe that'spart of the problem)

the inattentive-type ADHD vibes were SO strong in this video, James xD finding it genuinely upsetting that I have to plan my meals, not knowing what I want but waiting until my body is like "no, you actually do need to eat, please", and just.... hating cooking and cleaning up after. Its called executive dysfunction and ADHD inability to form new routines easily at all. As a fellow 25 year old - this is so accurate and I really enjoyed that James was able to put a comedic spin on the truth

@BILLIE SAYS DUH nobody cares what you want no she didn’t your just doing this for subscribers shut up
I just make a simple stew that takes like 15-20 minutes total to prepare with either tofu or chicken for lunch and dinner, every once in a while I mix things up, but that's my standard. For breakfast, it's usually eggs in some form, or some kind of toast.
I'd say for a college student, not very bad.
i choked on my drink when he said "I'm tired of folding dishes and cleaning laundry"
The fact that technically our brains are made of whatever we eat made me laugh. Knowing that my brain is basically spaghetti, pizza, and soda crammed into a watermelon is hilarious
Peak efficiency

@Paige by the book NO, your brain develops until your mid 20s so it's made of what you ate until then, after that its a slow burn where half of them won't even be replaced when they die over the next 50 years and dementia sets in. Isn't life wonderful :)
So, my brain is made out of nothing but junk food that my chubby-self eats, that explains a lot.
as a fellow 25 year old, i can confirm this is all 100% accurate. good luck kids.
Thank you I’m 10

You're a wonderful duck and person Sqaishey!
The Pufferfish joke in the shopping bag got me so good.
This video popped up on my recommend page 9 days before I turn 20. Great timing!
James is not like other youtubers, he reminds his audience to do the laundry, *he got our backs :)))*
He makes videos not only for entertainment, but to educate us for our safety. What a guy
Slightly confused on that bit considering I’ve been doing my own laundry since I was ten
And buckle our seatbelts 😂
BTW the probability of this event is 0.1
Hey Jess
i love how james is slowly evolving bc he’s aware that his audience is also aging. like- no more hyper child friendly lmao
Hi
you love that?
Pero que es lmao? xD
Yeah,I just turned 19 a month ago and I already feel old
@@MrSpaceMadness cause you are old, and I get to enjoy being an annoying kid for only 2 more years heheheh
Tip about the foods. Try buy in bulk and buy with variety. So that everytime you look into the fridge there wont be nothing and if your too lazy to make foods just remember those things can brighten your day up a lot rather than the junk foods
ive been watching this man since i was a kid, and now im an adult, i love this 🙏🙏
"LADIES! you're going to want to sit down for this."
Really felt that tone and voice drop there
Yes... 😔
Life sux
It costs James literally nothing to remind me of that and he did it anyways 😭

I’ve recently learned that cleaning up after cooking is horrible, but cleaning up before feels like stretching before a run. It really helps!
m.th-cam.com/video/FsWXPCoT5dI/w-d-xo.html
The trick is to clean up WHILE you’re cooking so there’s less work after you’ve finished eating
