That is correct. People need to do their research on the field they want to go in to be honest.. You can make good money in both if you position yourself correctly.
Most kids out of High School should either be going into trades, miltiary, or into college. They just aren't mature enough to float around. You wake up quick and it's been 4-5 years and your friends have degrees and are starting better jobs. We need to encourage education regardless after high school. College is great, and for most the right move overall. More than 80% of millionaires have a degree and 71% of successful entrepreneurs have a college degree/masters even. I think that reason is two fold, I think they just had time to grow up and meet people that changed their whole mindset. Any form of education could do this. If you don't want to go you need to lock on to something and pay for certifications. Some of the best people in my field for example only have a high school degree but they really went hard on education. You have to be locked in regardless. If you don't have a reason for college you must stay improving yourself through outside education.
We need to emphasize the importance of education at all levels, not just college. There are many great opportunities available for those who choose not to attend college. However, we need to establish more systems to expose these options to students.
If I knew what I knew how. I would’ve stuck with a trade to avoid all of the debt I currently owe.
