I'm seeing a lot of apartments here in the Tampa Bay area offering 2 months free rent now with signing. The landlords got greedy because of all the new transplants moving here from up north and now are starting to feel the effects.
I live in bradenton Sarasota. The rent for a 1/1 is 1600 and a 2/1 is 2300 and that's in the worst parts of town! I guess working 60 hours a week I'll be able to afford living in a tent or my 25 year old car.
Do you see how much motels are? Some of the most rundown motels are $400 a week to stay. I can imagine how much the bigger name stay hotels are. They used covid to take housing, food, electricity, home insurance, property taxes, auto insurance through the roof
You are correct. They are building so many apartments that they will have to start correcting their pricing and offer better incentives for people to move in. There is a lot of opotionos
Entitled profiteers hiding behind their elevated tax and insurance claims to double or triple the rent although combined liabilities for landlords went up maybe 10 % ,,it's all greed 😮
Worked in multi family housing for forty years in Tampa Bay Area the first apartment I rented was 360 a month 40 years later same unit rents for 1280 a mouth do the math it’s not that outrageous it is what it is
My rent is $1850 + ulities. That about 70% of our families income. High but considering where we live realistic for the city. Rent can be alot higher depending where in the city you live.
I'm a landlord and I cannot say that this video was impartial because it focused on one side of the coin. As a landlord, as is the case for most " mom and pops "; we are faced with increases in property tax; increases in homeowners insurance; increases in HOA fees. I've had to replace the washer which was over $700.00 from Brandsmart; had the AC and hot water heater serviced; all of these expenses cannot be avoided and must be addressed. As for individual detached homes ( houses ); it cost over $30,000.00 to replace the roof and if you don't, then the homeowners insurance company threatens to CANCEL your insurance or INCREASE your premium; replacement of an AC unit is around $6000.00 and the upkeep on landscaping to include the replacement of sprinkler heads are costly; I'll admit I couldn't get through this video because it seems too one sided. You did touch on the increases in grocery bills and gas, also add CAR INSURANCE increases even though you had no tickets or accidents, etc. which brings me to the question: are landlords responsible for those increases as well ? This is what the millennials, Gen Z's and the woke people voted for so they need to stop complaining and just live with the consequences.
That's so crazy how rent be so high living in these apartments but they don't want to fix nothing.
That is so true!!! They want that check on the 1st of every month with all the issues these apartments have.
You just gained another sub. Great content and keeping it real.
The medium rents are 100% of my monthly income 😂 what a gd joke this country had become.

You can blame the state, local government, Cartel, Chinese , Money laundering, they have a strong foot hold in the America real estate market
I'm a single mom in South FL and rent is 65% of my income
Entitled profiteers hiding behind their elevated tax and insurance claims to double or triple the rent although combined liabilities for landlords went up maybe 10 % ,,it's all greed 😮
If you're thinking of moving here, especially to Orlando, don't, the rental prices are high and the jobs don't pay enough.

The only reason rent is high is because they’re using ai software to make the pricing so that they always make more profit even when units are empty
GREED ! --- Both corporate and private !!!
