@@AccordingToTawanda I’m going to put my best foot forward Tawanda bedside can take a lot out of me mentally and physically, the nature of healthcare… but you are a huge inspiration, your financial mindset and positive attitude is such a blessing!!!
Tawanda have you ever thought about preparing nurses for the State Boards examination? Student nurses can be preparing for the exam while they are in nursing school.
Would you ever be willing to do a video about OASIS in regards to SOC’s? I’m a case manager but we have to do starts as well and I ALWAYS end up needing to do corrections or tweaking things. It is so freaking confusing to me 😂
@@AccordingToTawanda it’s mostly been the m1400-1860-1870 etc questions and I guess getting them to match up. We use a program called McBee that reviews the starts and then the quality department will send us an email with lists of corrections. I feel like I answer the questions based off what I see but the McBee is telling us to change it. It’s just all confusing. But I also only did one start of care when I was on orientation. So I’ve pretty much just been winging it this whole time 😅😂
@@maryrudisill2541 I got you! I’ll try to have something up this week. I’ve been meaning to address this topic. I will likely include it in a DITL of A HH Nurse video. Stay tuned 😊

I know you said you don't spend much on yourself. What things do you treat yourself with? I enjoy getting a pedicure once a month and justify it because I work on my feet doing 12 hr shifts. No prime day for me this year I'm still doing my emergency savings goal.
Since Pedicure is a WANT. I would create a want budget of your income and follow that. Generally it's best to keep your wants 10-25% of your income so you can save a bit more for your future.
So being this money conscious nurse… would you recommend going to a community college and then making your job pay for your bsn, vs going for lpn and doing a bridge program, or going to a private nursing school with no waitlist.?
I definitely recommend community college if possible. I did LPN to RN. However, a ADN program is great. Private is always my last option. If you go with a private school tackle your debt as soon as possible. You’ll thank yourself later. Great question 😊
Just applied for nursing school today excited for this roller coaster 😅
Congratulations 🎊🎉🎈
Tawanda I love your videos, motivation for me to get off the couch and pick up more shifts… 😂❤
