Good looking game. I had no idea how this played until now. I need to go back and watch your first video to understand exactly how the mechanisms work. This checks all of the right boxes, slightly thinky, bag builder and fast solo.
This is more chewy than I initially thought too! It's why I didn't back it on KS. I regret that now, although I have acquired the expansion and the upgraded tokens are supposed to be here sometime this month. So additional cost. But that's ok. I'm glad people are enjoying this game. I'm excited that this solo only game is gaining popularity. Also encourages Renegade to continue the Solo Hero Series with more great games. Glad to see a full play through with the hydra, it’s been kicking my ass... Gonna give it another try, just the approach to dealing with the damage and trying to avoid not losing tokens and keep the enemy draw low... the starter ship is useless against it, I might try the Titan
Good luck! This one can be nasty! Haven’t tried it with starter I don’t think. But it did kick me around more than a few times before I beat it constantly even with the Titan! @@MeMyselfDice managed to beat it tonight, used the Titan with skill (asteroid run). Managed to get my special which set on first draw which set me up for the game
taking Hull damage allows you to not lose tokens? Even for the 2 sheild damage? I'm trying to figure out how to beat this mother ship. This one's a tough one.
Page 16 in the rules #3 “For each dance to your shields (NOT YIUR HULL), choose One token from the discard and remove it from the game. If you do not have enough tokens in the discard to do this fully, remove as many tokens as possible.“ (emphasis mine). So yeah once you’ve depleted your shield you do not lose more tokens. In your question you would still lose one core each shield loss but no more for any hull loss after. So ships with low shields and high hull do not cull tokens like the others. It’s their strength and weakness depending on how you like to play. I think what fascinates me about this game is it isn’t just figuring out how to beat each mothership, but also how to play each player ship type. It’s a double puzzle to solve but also makes some player ship/mothership combos a lot harder or easier than others. Good luck! You got this! 😃

When you use and remove the Rupture token, your four value 1 tokens are added to your pool instead of the bag.
