Hello, thanks for the video. I know you like to have the market deck face up, but you’re not allowed to see what’s coming after the card available to purchase. On top of that, because of that face up deck, voltlings apparitions are different. They would come sooner, or later than face down. And we can clearly see them under the cards in the market.
Appreciate the content you're making on this game. Based on my playthroughs, I've found the 2nd boss (Volt) quite variable in difficulty. The first time through was a terrible slaughter, and the 2nd time we didn't break a sweat by focusing early on weapon upgrades. At least the bosses can be scaled for difficulty which is a big plus. Great game overall.
Oh interesting! So far we have handled the second boss pretty easily. The third one though.. that seems to be the toughest for us! Really appreciate you watching and commenting!!
Great games. I loved this expedition so much I tore through in two days once my pledge arrived. I really adore this game. I love the future space theme. And Tsana. She was the one Guardian, oops, I mean Astro Knight, that I took all the way through the expedition. She's so much fun!
I love your android voice. I always had suspicions that Colin was some boardgame playing robot it would explain how he always so well at Mage Knight. Now we know!
Hi colin! Nice game play! I didnt understand if once you have finished all thé expéditions, you can still use thé combo cards and the scientific New weapond in normal game play vs the boss
You can! You just want to do it in the same order though for your expedition. So the first game you have nothing extra then you unlock one piece for game 2, etc. Etc.
I know this is maybe a strange comment to post on this video but I just finished watching the first 4 videos from your Mage Knight campaign The Betrayal. In the comment section there you had planned on still doing the other 3 missions, but I guess that was before the move to this channel. So any chance you will go back and finish the series? I guess it would be weird to have the series split between the two channels but I would really love to see if you make it to the end.
Yeah I've been torn on this! I haven't decided quite yet what to do. I may just start a new one on this one and just rock through it. But regardless thanks so much for watching and commenting!!!
I was thinking this would be gloomhaven but without the walking around but it feels more like Starswars the deckbuilding game. Seems like a lot of fun. Is this a standalone game or do you need the AK base game? I'm also wondering about the price. A quick search has this between 40-120? So that's a bit confusing. 40 seems right for only 4 scenarios and bosses.
Thanks for watching! You do not need the first box for this at all you can just get the one. But it came as a kickstarter with promo cards and I think 2 expansions which gave us 4 more characters and 2-3 more bosses. I really enjoy the expedition in this game so it's a high recommend but don't think it's worth 120 unless you get both the original and this one! Hope that helps!!
@@MeetMeAtTheTable I only recently tried playing solo with Tales of the red dragon inn and was looking for something with a dungeon crawl/ battle feel but a bit faster, shorter setup, game time, break down and Astro Knights seems to fit. Some other channel recommended this version to start with because of the story/ campaign/ scenario element. It sure seems like the type of gameplay I like. I just hope it stays interesting enough for it's price witj just a couple of scenarios and bosses.
@joostborst yeah I think if you pay 40 is worth it! And you have to tell me about tales of the red dragon inn I have it sitting on my shelf! Should I Crack it open??
@@MeetMeAtTheTable I really like it! I played gloomhaven with a group a lot but at some we kinda stopped because just the idea that getting it on the table was going to take an hour enough reason not to set it up. Tales is like gloomhaven light. Same type of gameplay, but linear, simpler rules, but still the same feel. I played one scenario solo just to get familiar with rules, before playing as a group but I had so much fun that I'm now 17 scenarios in. For me it is a really great game.
I liked this playthrough. Record the rest of the expedition, please.
Thanks so much Thiago!! Great to hear from you!!
This was great. Would love to see the rest of the expedition. Thanks!
Greg thanks so much for watching!! Just had a great time playing this!!
Nice one Colin. That was getting close! Love it when games do that.
Thanks for the playthrough, great fun!
So much fun Paul!! Appreciate you watching!!!
Ooh it's like Marvel Champions mixed with Aeons End! Great playthrough thanks Colin!
Yeah it's super great!! Thank you so much for watching!!
This game is so much fun...enjoyable watching you play through.
I love the expedition mode for sure!! Really appreciate you watching and commenting!

Wait for next chapter

We literally played the entire thing in one day with my kids haha!! So I hear you and Tsana is AMAZING!! Thanks so much for commenting!

Haha!!! Yes! Part robot ! Thanks so much for watching!
You read good! Matthew admits. Maybe you got room for someone like me? The group frowns, and eyeballs each other in dismiss.
Haha!! Nice Matthew!! Thanks so much for watching my friend!!

When the boss leveled up to second level, his card said to draw and resolve an additional card during the boss turns. However, this was not done.
Yup I drew 2 cards a turn! Remember level one went away sothey are not cumulative!
In the boss deck set up did you remove all the 3+ and 4+ before the set up rules?
The first boss has just all cards. The second boss I did and show it in the video. Hope that helps!
Explained at 1:02:00. Sweet should have caught that due to the first boss starting at level 1 they would have all cards respectively as well.
Yeah the first boss we just discarded random cards for the player count! Second boss you have certain cards in the discard! Thanks for watching!!
