Love Jason Glover’s Gamecrafter games like TIN HELM, DUST RUNNER, etc As well as MINI ROGUE (technically can be played as multiplayer) Great solo games :)
Astro Knights is a streamlined version of Aeon's End that plays really well solo, I'd say Aeon's End is a better theme but takes a little over an hour including setup. Similarly, Hero Realms' campaigns are fun and can easily be true soloed without making the game too hard, and finally Mini Rogue is an absolute gem and usually quite cheap to find! Will definitely check this one out, thanks Monique for inevitably costing me more money 🤣
Love Warp's Edge! Glad you got to try it out. Another solo specific game with almost the same stats (solo only, 30-60 minute game, fighting aliens theme, similar box size, same price point, same level of complexity), Under Falling Skies is fantastic........but don't jump too quickly into the campaign mode! The base game is fantastic as it is.
Final Girl, Hostage Negotiator, For Northwood, The Loop just to name a few. Of those mentioned, Final Girl is my favorite. Van Ryder knocked it out of the park with this game.
This is without a doubt one of my favorite solo games XD I moved on after few years of playing but it's sooooooo goooood. I recently got into Skytear Horde for solo gaming.
Love this game! It's super addicting in the way that your first game will probably be a loss, but that puzzle is so good to try and crack, and then you're off blasting everything and feeling like a boss
I like this game quite a bit. I think a bag builder approach to randomizing feels different to a deck in pretty significant ways. For instance, when you get a new token in a bag builder, there's a real chance you can get it first thing next time you draw. While cards you have to wait until the card is shuffled into the deck. Additionally, once the deck is shuffled it's set; the order is unknown to you, but it won't change until you exhaust it. The bag, on the other hand, always distributes it evenly every time you add to it.
@@BeforeYouPlay it's the closest experience you will get in a board game to an open world online RPG game. You travel around together (using a set of 2 characters that synergise really well), and you keep gathering materials and upgrading your skills and gear until you think you're ready to go and progress the new story chapter. Eventually you'll finish one campaign (there are five), and the next campaign gives you two new different characters to play with. It rox my sox
Brilliant play through. Enjoying a good number of board games via Apps and on table w/ others that include most of the Fower games - Paperback, Burgle Bros (App only), and more, Railroad Ink Challenge, Rollplayer (tabletop only - but better with others) along with some other Solo RPGs/Skirmish games, Ironsworn (RPG), Rangers/Shadow Deep, 5 Parsecs from home (Skirmish). Seeing other Solo games play through would be great, along with your other multi-player. Keep up the great playthroughs. I forgot, Grand Carnival has a solo rules, that havent played yet - but love it. Seeing this played solo would be great if it is that different then multi-player.
I love Warp’s Edge! Upgraded to the acrylic tokens just to plus the experience a bit more. Some of my favorite solo games or games to play solo are: For Northwood!, Fliptown, The Castles of Burgundy Special Edition Chateauma, Come Sail Away, Heat and Fantastic Factories.

This is easily one of the best solo board games. It's exciting all the way through, and you can mix and match motherships and your own ship to tweak difficulty. Also, I hiiiighly recommend the Anomaly expansion. I never play without it, because it just "completes" the game for me.
I need to stop watching your videos. It was such a great playthrough i went and bought the game right away. Same happened with Watergate 😂 They are really great playthroughs so thanks again for sharing
keystone north america, wingspan, jokkmokk, flamecraft, transmissions, walking in burano, sunset over water, portals etc :) Are you play Mezen ? a new game . hope to see this game in a video :)
Honestly I remember finding the narrative book a chore to read. For me instead of adding adding "richness" to the gameplay it left me bitter for forcing myself to read through it once. I'm a little bit of a completionist and have the expansions, acrylic tokens, and playmat. The narrative book went to the recycle... Fun game though :)
Solo only I'd say For Northwood and Unbroken (solid dungeon crawler which was unfortunately destroyed by a very toxic publishing company). Multiplayer with solo mode: Tiny Epic Galaxies, Meadow, The Artemis Project, Oros.
Very different games. Having them both and all things being equal, I believe Under Falling Skies to be a better value and more approachable. Both great imo glhf
I picked up both at the same time last summer and was happy to alternate. Similar feel, similar length, similar complexity. I think Under Falling Skies is a bit stronger mechanically, but Warp's Edge has a bit more of a fun factor for me. But there's no wrong choice here.
The biggest difference of deck building vs bag building is that cards can and often do transport narrative, fluff, theme and atmosphere while in most cases a token is just a token. And cards can have various effects because you just need to print the individual rules on that card for special things that can't be done via keywords. As someone who loves cards in games that makes a huge difference. That's why I dont like Quacks of Quedlinburg (besides it being too lucky....don't like push your luck) and find Orléans only ok. Imagine how much worse Arnak or Dune Imperium would be if you just had a bag with tokens.
Actually, the booklet is not a campaign. It's just a choose-your-own-adventure storybook which picks your first figher and mothership for you. Honestly, it's pretty horrible - the story is boring and the decisions don't have any real connection to what you end up getting. Easily the worst thing about the game and it would be better if they just left it out of the box. But the game itself is really great!
I actually disliked this game. Because everyone was raving about it, I gave it a try. I even put capsules on these things. Idk what it was… was it too simple? Was it the gameplay? Idk. In hindsight, this was the game that made me cautious about future games that I thought I’d love but potentially could dislike after playing. Anyways, I have to give it another chance. I feel like I didn’t do it justice. But man… I really felt so bored when I played this.

Love seeing you cover solo games!
Thank you!
Oh, one of my most favorite solo games - it's great to see you play this! ☺️
Same here! Have had a lot of fun with it!!
@@BeforeYouPlay It shows! 😁
I love this game. Great to see show it.
Minor rule thing: The P token would inflict 2 lasers to both ships, not 1. Didn't affect your playthrough.
Love Warp's Edge! Glad you got to try it out. Love that one! It’s been a while since I last played it.
Under falling skies, 20 strong 😊
I highly recommend trying the bag building in War Chest (with Naveen)
Final Girl, Hostage Negotiator, For Northwood, The Loop just to name a few. Of those mentioned, Final Girl is my favorite. Van Ryder knocked it out of the park with this game.
Thank you!
they already did a playthrough/review of the loop its on their channel thats how i found out about it and bought it lol and i got both expansions

Some favorite solo-only games I enjoy within 59 minutes are Maquis, Black Sonata, Under Falling Skies, Rove, and Grove🎲
I just bought this game last week, and funny enough none of the TH-cam channels I followed do a video. And now you do.
One Stop Coop Shop also has some good playthroughs!
Great video! My solo recommendation is Sprawlopolis. The way they were able to get so much variation and depth from eighteen cards is genius.
Oooh we have that one but I haven't tried it solo! Thanks for the recommendation
I like this game quite a bit.

That's a great point! Definitely adds a different type of strategic planning
Two player bagbuilder you say? The Isofarian Guard has you covered!
Is it a beast? I think I just assumed it was lol!

Great solo game... especially with the Playmat and the luxury components. :)

Pink Floyd, that's awesome!
As solo games, I love Spirit Island, Sprawlopolis and Orchard. Orchard plays in 10 minutes and is chill and challenging at the same time :D

It's an interesting puzzle!
Thanks for the teach!
Under Falling Skies is a good one

that was suspenseful.

There isn't much there for Warp's Edge's campaign: it kinda just helps you pick a ship, boss and starting item with a bit or targeted randomness.
keystone north america, wingspan, jokkmokk, flamecraft, transmissions, walking in burano, sunset over water, portals etc :) Are you play Mezen ? a new game . hope to see this game in a video :)
Great job. You ever try any of the solo mint tins? Most are MEH…. But there are some that I would stack against any game. Dust runner for the win!

Thanks for the video, I have a question, do I have to reset my ship when changing warp? (raise its shield and its life bar)
Solo only I'd say For Northwood and Unbroken (solid dungeon crawler which was unfortunately destroyed by a very toxic publishing company). Multiplayer with solo mode: Tiny Epic Galaxies, Meadow, The Artemis Project, Oros.
Trying to decide between this and Under Falling Skies right now, thoughts?

How and why there is next to no other roguelite quality boardgame is beyond me.
Keep up the good work beautiful
