      You wouldn’t be impressing Anyone in the real world of caulking with Anything that any of these sales reps is demonstrating. They need to just stick to selling the guns and accessories and stay far away from actual caulking Yikes

    Why doesn't the caulk stick to your tooling tool?

    • @unitedprofessionalcaulking9038
      @unitedprofessionalcaulking9038  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It does stick, but it is the angle and movement of the tooling that prevents excessive material from sticking to the tool and thus remaining in the joint where it belongs.

      @@chyeaOGKush well honestly thats kinda hard, even if i get a nice even bead, instead of just flat tooling i always even if it doesnt need it backtool it, then if it allows use a scraper blade to get the excess off the edge of the bead. If u cant use the scraper blade like on brick ur gonna have to tape the sides

      The weep tubes were purposely covered. All the gaskets in the window system were cut back to install a silicone bead creating “rain screen” system known as “wet sealing.”

      Caulking proper is extremely difficult to learn especially with all the confusion and complete lack of standards in the USA now Anyone who says it’s easy most likely is clueless to the reality of how fussy and critical caulkers and some inspectors are and probably actually really sucks at caulking but thinks they’re great like this guy in the videos His caulking is absolutely Brutal and completely unacceptable according to any real caulking company that I ever worked on

    Kick ass. Polyurethane out. Silicone in.

    • @unitedprofessionalcaulking9038
      @unitedprofessionalcaulking9038  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are very poetic, but it is true, in many cases silicone is a much better choice. The reason for this is that silicon is inorganic. Being such, the covalent bonds of silicone are stronger than UV, thus giving it a longer service life with warranties up to 20 years. On the other hand, polyurethane is organic, and susceptible to aging weathering, and of course, ultraviolet from the sun. This is why polyurethane in some parts of the country can fail in less than five years. So, consideration should be given as to whether a silicone can be used in place of a polyurethane.

I have never seen that one before That caulking could Easily fly out that wide open sausage and make a huge mess that you can never clean up and that weird bent angle nozzle isn’t for basic simple straight runs it’s literally for areas that are difficult to get into.
