$3100 and you have to leave your apt to wash clothes is wild.
That rent blows my mind! I watch a lot of apartment vlogs, I guess I just don't understand why it's desirable to live in a place that expensive.
I understand the rent price, after all it’s NYC! What I don’t understand is the landlord not putting nice cabinets in the kitchen. That landlord should appreciate a renter who pays the rent on time!
I lived in a rent stabilized apartment for years. The landlords did the absolutely bare minimum in my building. It actually helped them to have tenants move out because they could raise the rent a bit when the apartment changed hands. I had no cabinets in my kitchen and ancient appliances. They hadn't painted or cleaned when I moved in. But I was happy that I could afford a apartment in NYC.
No kidding. Those cabinets are dated. Homes built in the mid 1980’s had those as standard cabinets.
Very cozy, tidy and minimalistic, love it😊
Thank you 🥰
This is a great apartment. Ive seen studios with 400sf that look tighter. Great light, closets, room separation. Its great
Love your video! I always wanted to live in NYC❤ Can’t wait to see your new place!
Wow! This apartment is so cute!! Love your interior style queen ❤
Thanks girl!! 🩷🩷🩷
This honestly looks larger than 350 sq ft. Yes, it's pricey, but I'd be shocked to find somewhere cheaper in the West Village. Love how efficient (and chic) you've made the space!
Thank you so much! I honestly feel like we had a really good deal for the area, while I understand it’s still a lot of money, it’s well below the avg!
This is sooo crazy ! We are coming to NYC soon and surprised how much hotels are!!
You’ve turned the apartment into such a cozy space. Kudos!!! 😊
Thank you! 🩷
Such an iconic apartment in an iconic area 😄
It’s soooooo NYC!!! 🍎 love your decor & how you utilized the space!
👏👏😊
Thank you!
First time watching and I will subscribe! Cute apartment.
Thank you!
If she can afford the rent, GO FOR IT! She is in the fashion industry and a Content Creator as well.
Wow perfect couch and use of that living room space!
Love it!
The bathroom is probably original layout of the bathroom, so its big. Rest of the rooms were changed over time. Landlords can rent more smaller apartments than larger apartments in same building. Volume means profit. Building remains same size, the apartments shrink within to increase rental units.
You did well with layout. Considering the price of the neighborhood, rent stabilized apartments really are a good keep for you.
I am in Westchester and nothing in there warrants that rent. Stabilized is a blessing at a lower than that.I have to say if you're ok with it I am happy for you.
That's a nice little apartment, and what a killer bathroom! It's bigger than the one in my house! With apt. hunting, I always had that conflict going on: larger place in less desirable area? or smaller place in charming area? I love the way you kept the decor clean and minimal. With small spaces one must exercise restraint, but it's so hard! Question: did you ever think about switching the table and chairs with the extra counter space? I ask because 2 things: it's nicer to sit a bit further from the A/C on a hot summer night, and also--there's that convenient outlet for appliances. Good luck with the move! I'll be interested to see your new pad!
You’ve done an excellent job utilizing such a small space! I love the bedroom and bathroom,( even though I agree that they wasted much needed space.) Your gallery wall is amazing!
I live in a 320 square foot apartment in Manhattan. Pay $1178 renewer lease rent went up $25. Won the housing lottery.
My dream is to win that lottery
@@ErikaDwyer keep trying they’ll call you eventually
Thanks for the tour. I like your personality! Subscribed.
Thank you!
@@ErikaDwyer You're welcome 😊!
Such an adorable apartment, you decorated it beautifully!! Why are you moving , hopefully it’s for a larger apartment!!
It's so cute you have done a great job with such a small space.
You did a great job on managing the space you have. 👏
When I lived in 450 square foot apartment. I had so many things piled on top of each other. It must be freeing to only own a handful of clothes and no objects or trickets from your past. No need for a storage unit. How amazing to be able to fit 2 people’s worth of clothing into such a small space. You and your partner are such amazing minimalists to be able to have such a sparingly amount of things. You save money on buying clothes and useless items.
Have you thought about buying a loft bed? Like a sturdy, comfy one. I would also hang some mirrors on the wall in front of the couch. Otherwise it’s lovely.
How do you do laundry?
love ur home
Where is your blue blanket from? so cute!
Arket! 💙
You did great with the space you had. It feels light and airy. Where is the skateboard from its so cute?
love how you decorated
I don't see how anyone can pay that much money for a shoebox like that. That's ridiculous. They shouldn't have apartments like these.
I loved my shoebox 😌
They are paying for the location 😀
@ErikaDwyer I love it too has so much character❤
Why, because you personally don't like it?
Love West Village & your apt.

Where is your blue bed throw blanket from!?
Arket!
Did you say you were moving? Such a nice space!
I left nyc in 2017 best decision I've ever made . Born and raised y'all be well out there but cute apt though❤
3100 for 350 sqft. damn
It’s rough out here 😅 but honestly for this neighborhood, I swear it’s a deal
@@ErikaDwyer oh I know I live right outside NYC . Rents are just crazy everywhere. Which sucks
$3,100 for a 350 sq foot room?? geez. That's rent stabilized too?! insane.
Does she have cameras inside her unit?
That bathroom is large for NYC. I tend to agree with you though that they could have taken a teeny bit of that room for your living room. Your space actually feels really open for the size.
It's a great apt for New York City

Personally, I’d swap the bedroom and living room. But I’m older than this woman and treasure being at home and reading books, watching tv, etc. I don’t need much room to sleep.
I lived in a railroad apt, and hated it - no light on 1 side, and not open, closed up feeling.
❤
I think you are not stabilized any longer if your apt is 3200. Check on it. To the non NYers commenting on living situations in NY : you cannot compare this lifestyle with anywhere else. This is NY. Space is at a premium. But she wanted the location. When I got my first apt. It was in a tenement like walk up with freshly painted bumpy plaster walls and shiny plank floors. You go to the laundromat. I was in heaven.
Why moving?
The toilet paper holder is so far away from the actual toilet?
It really wasn’t much of an inconvenience 😂
She has done a great job organizing things and keeping things minimal . But I cant imagine if a NYC size rat got in..Id lose my mother loving mind!
The landlord can't afford to remove those 1980's cabinets?! Come on, I get it- it's not easy but he's charging high rents!
😮
I think she did the best she could with the space. But that place just looks depressing imo. I couldn't live in an apt like that. But to each their own.
Rent stable, I may never move.
I love railroad apts!
$3,100 a month and you have to haul your laundry a mile down the road to use a laundromat and your living room is a hallway width at best? Yikes!
If you are leaving it, it must not be what you want anymore.
I would rather see your new apartment instead!
3100...fools!
lol
What a waste of money...
Nope
That’s way too much money 💰 for a lil studio ! NY sucks
Small, dated, ugly, and expensive. Yay, you got ripped off, just like most New York "content creators,' which means jobless.
*I live here in Manhattan as well. Only people that live here can understand. For the rest of the country they will leave negative comments because NYC (Manhattan) scares them. If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere. I pay $4600 for 650 square feet and I live alone. Totally worth it. She lives in NYC. She is the envy of all her friends which is worth gold for women*
Except renting is throwing your money away. Much better to own and you can make money on your investment. Renters are at the mercy of the housing market, landlords etc. Sorry but i don't want someone owning the space i live in, having the key and telling me they can inspect it with 24 hr notice 😂.
@@LyranSoul silly person. Most of us who rent in Manhattan own homes in other parts of the country. I have a mortgage in Green Cove Florida on Windsor lane (new construction). We watch tourist on hop on hop off buses wishing they could live the dream. Manhattan is the most expensive city price per square foot in America for a reason. One of the most visited as well. You must be in a flyover state. Good luck with that
@@spratmajor2576 Aww how defensive you get. No, i own 2 homes in one of the most expensive and visited states which you def can't afford, Calif . Especially since you own a home in cheap FL lol. You prob have a little $400k house. If you have so much money buy in NY. Aww but you can't afford it and have to rent a little crackerbox there instead lol.
@@LyranSoul sure you do. Everyone online is rich, travels the world and only dates supermodels. Keep telling yourself that as you look upon us with envy. That’s why you watched the video and responded. You were butt hurt. You own in a flyover state. Now go sit on your ripped pleather couch while those of us in the winners circle head off to work
Haha 😂 what an accomplishment! Happy to throw big money 💰 down the drain and forcing yourself to believe that it’s Perfect 🤩
I couldn't even finish this video. It's awful and people willing to spend that much money on nothing are totally insane. Personally I wouldn't live there for free.
These home tours of folks willingly paying so much money to live so uncomfortably in an inconvenient, small space in a city riddled with trash, crime, and nothing pretty to look at and still trying to convince themselves that it's cool somehow ... Getting old. Wish there'd be more country home tours on the tube.
$3100 for rent stabilized is insane
