Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Part 2 has just released and Roxy and Rudeus Greyrat have reunited in Mushoku Tensei Episode 21! Mushoku Tensei is the hit Isekai airring in Spring to Summer 2024 and is one of the biggest Anime, Light Novel's, and Manga of all time. Mushoku Tensei Reactions, Reviews, and Analysis videos comparing it to Frieren have gone on forever and I believe Mushoku Tensei is better than Frieren in some ways.

I don't know how Mushoku Tensei could surpass Frieren's use of time when its the latter's focus, but I do agree that Mushoku Tensei is just smooth with it. I mean, this is an autobiography, covering Rudy's life from his birth to his death. Everyone ages up, the world ages up, everything changes. You don't see that often.
I’m currently reading the LN and it’s insane how good the world building and how detailed the character relationships are in mushoku tensei. Whenever rudi is on a adventure he doesn’t just ends up from place A to B. The journey itself gives so much lore to the world, like everything feels alive and makes sense even tho there is magic involved. Usually I’m not much of a reader, but with this one I gobble that sh!t up.

The novel is older than Frieren and it is known to be one of the best isekai novels that kicked things off when I was first getting into LN and Wuxia.
Frieren is an amazing anime for sure, I really do believe it deserves the #1 anime of all time slot but at the same time Mushoku Tensei's writer is more skilled, there is no author in Japan with more attention to detail and ability to add development then Rifujin.

7:00 Just a small correction, but Nanahoshi has only been in this world for 6 years as well. She didn't arrive at the same time Rudy got reincarnated into this world, she came here at the exact moment the Mana Disaster happened, which was 6 years ago. It's still a very long time to be living in a world that you don't like and have no magic or power to defend yourself with.
And she got protection of the second strongest in the world that can rival 5 god below combined

Watching frieren like seeing very beautiful scenery, landscape etc, it beautiful, it calm my heart, it give me a lesson, while watching mushoku tensei literally watching a human life, u see that human grow, do a mistake, try harder, fix his mistake, and life at their fullest.

I mean, I watched the first episode, had to stop because of how weird he was. Rewatched it fully after a friend demanded I do so, and immediately fell in love. Rudeus was seemingly irredeemable at the start. The fact he does redeem himself is actually why I love this show so much

And the fact that he is able to become one is the redemption in our eyes but its just him correcting his mistakes not for redemption but for his and his loved ones sakes. The whole story is just a human biography if you think about it. Just about his journey from brith to death
No nanahoshi did not nuke the world it was whoever summoned the 3 kids and rudeus's soul. And she has not been waiting for 16 years. Orsted found her when he went to investigate the mana catastrophe.

Something I’d like to say about the inconsistency in my lore points that are an obvious mistake in the script is the fact that I tried to do it purely off memory and was pretty scared to verify the info from google because of spoilers as I’ve already had a ton of stuff spoiled for me from just pulling images and stuff but still at the end of the day it’s my bad but the comments seem to be here to fact check me so it’s all good and sorry I don’t use commas😂

Decent video. Though there are a number of inaccuracies that could have been addressed in the scripting stage had you done a bit more research. Nanahoshi has been in the MT world for 6 years at that point, not 16. She appeared during the Teleportation Incident when Rudy was 10, who is now 16 by the time they meet.
Less minor correction is that this is Season 2 cour 2, which you get correct in your video description yet consistently misspeak in the video itself, but presumably most people will understand what you mean based on the events being discussed. I genuinely thought this video was going to be about events AFTER this season rather than the current one since it's still in the title though.
Also your conclusion regarding Zenith... uh. You should read up on what death flags and foreshadowing are. Next week's episode is definitely gonna be a surprise for you if you're that confident in your conclusion. Additionally, while your delivery is fine, quite a bit of this video is just regurgitating the plot beat for beat which most people watching are already aware of, rather than the actual juicy bits of commentary or insight you hope to provide. I’m here Only to say it’s only season two. There are two parts to both seasons.
I think it took Rudeus and Eris 3 years to return to the Fittoa region. You really feel time a lot more on the light novel. I specially felt the time it took for Rudeus and Roxy to reunite. Not only did it take 11 years in the story, but in the books Roxy leaves on volume 1 and only meets Rudeus until volume 12. It feels like ages by the time you get there...

Nanahoshi hasn't been there for 16 years, only 6 because she got sent to the world latter then rudeus and and caused the teleportation incident.
If I'm correct, Nanahoshi only got there when the Teleportation Misplacement thing happened, her "Isekai age" is technically only 6. Remember, she got transported as a normal human while Rudeus got reborn 11 years before she had gotten there.
Mushoku tensei wasn’t just the one to take ideas of the genre and make them interesting, it was the first to do many of those ideas, and did them the best, for example it was one of if not the first to have an adventure guild, alongside other things

She didn't cause the teleportation incident, the incident was caused by her summoning, she woke up in the aftermath of the disaster and has been here for 10 years less than Rudy. Since Rudy was just a soul it took less time to summon him but since she came over with her entire body it took years for the transfer to complete.

Anime only here too and I think Nanahoshi coming to the world caused the mass teleportation, so she’s only been there 6 years.
I feel like I need to clarify that Nanahoshi didn't create the displacement incident (Rudy did lolz). I won't go into details, but Rudy got killed by Truck-Kun, that's why he was reborn. Nanahoshi was just teleported after Rudy saved her.
Rudy was born, and then when the displacement incident happened that's when Nanahoshi was teleported to the Six-Sided World. So she essentially was thrown 5 years into the world's future.
So she has only been there for 10 years at the point we are in the anime, and she had Papa Orsted, so it's not SOOOOOO bad lol
Nanahoshi was not reincarnated, she was summoned there. Her summoning was the mass teleportation event. She hasn't been there for 16 years at that point in the story it was more like 10 to 11 years. since Rudy was like 5 during the mana disaster which brought Nanahoshi to that world. Which she was 16 then. She just doesn't age. So in season 2 Rudy is 15 to 16 and Nanahoshi is about 26 to 27.
"Mushoku Tensei" was publicized way before "Frieren" was even a thought.

I dont quite think the same you do sick editing dude but mushoku tensei is quite different to frieren yet a bit similiar with the whole point of frieren using you time to learn to love people around you and not waste it and mushoku with using the time you have to do similiar things but the over all scope and perspective is just not the same. Frierens view of time as being nearly limitless and at a moments pass everyone you love is already in a grave where as to rudy wasting the only time he had on being the worst person he could be because he could not face the past. 2. There's too much visual effects overlayed, stop trying to mimic tiktok editing, it feels like you're forcefully holding my attention.
3. let the scene and the viewer breathe, it takes an average of 1.5 sec before u cut to a new shot.
4. Less is more, make your editing more subdued.
5. Dont use interpolated 60fps 4k clips

It's pretty dumb to compare Mushoku Tensei vs Frieren when the former is an introspective while the latter is a retrospective story. They don't even operate the same way time-wise.
You're kidding right? You know that Mushoku Tensei LN released back in 2012 and then the manga released in 2014.. Frieren is just a basic copy of a master piece.
One of my biggest anime hot takes is that mushoku tensei is frieren done right, which yes, would imply that I think frieren does wrong at many points.
Nanahoshi didnt nuke the whole world tho, she got teleported and that caused the whole nuke thing. So she also hasn't been in that world for 16 years but rather like 6 years ever since the magic nuke. I think your point still holds true tho even if it was "only" 6 years, thats still a long time to be stuck in a world you hate.

Frieren after episode 4 just became another adventure anime although with good art style and animation. Character and story wise Mushoku goes deep, characters feel more human, even the minor ones.

People dick rode Frieren so hard. Yes it had some great animation and themes and no Ecchi for the most part, but saying it’s the greatest shit ever is crazy. Also, it overused the theme of time way too much imo. I anticipate a day where a series I find enjoyable releases to widespread critical acclaim
No it's not 2.0, it is its own thing and does many things better than Frieren.
Rudeus' past life had three brothers. They mention they kick him out when they find him locked in his room after his parents funeral (that he didn't attend).
Not just didn't attend, but have been doing things whilst inside his room.
