Another entertaining one Mike... great that you find these wee places, Ive got a Versys and a Scomadi but you're still making me want to buy a Monkey, dunno why! 😂. Loved when you accidentally mentioned the place, so I rewound and put captions on..... then you said it a few more times anyway 😂
Ha ha! I figured if folk had watched this much of the video then there's no harm in saying where it is, plus it's a bit of a nightmare to find as you seen. 😂 Hope you had a good Christmas!
Hello again Mike. I love your Monkey Bike films. There is far more of a challenge doing a trip on a lower powered machine. I'm sure the Monkey Bike has more power than my old C15 even though I have twice the cubic capacity. I tend, wrongly, to think we have all the scenery up in the Highlands, but your Border scenery is just wonderful. It was great to see your Red Indian skills finding your way back using the sun! We don't need smart phones (we have become too dependant on them).
@@hughferrier5837 Hi Hugh. I hope you're feeling a bit better. The monkey has around 9 bhp, I dunno what your C15 will have but I'd hope it was a bit more than 9! Aye, the scenery down in the borders and Dumfries and Galloway really is nice and as I say in the video, it really seems uninhabited. On nice summers days you see more bikes than cars down that way. It's worth a visit if you're ever down. There's lots of old castles and ruins to see as well. Glad you appreciated my Mick Dundee navigation!
Hi Mike, although you are lost, I thoroughly enjoyed this ramble around the border area and rationally some of the places I’ve been before. I always remember meeting a lady Shepherd who lived close to the Loch of the Lowes and she told me if I ever wanted to give my American tourists a sense of how the Highlands may feel and look, to take them across the road from Tweedsmuir to Capperclech - done it many times and although the “lakes” are man made it does give a sense of being further north? Hope all is good with you - Happy Boxing Day mate 🤗
I think it was Billy Connolly who said lots of folk think the borders is how the Highlands look. It's a great place to ride about and explore. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you and the family Rob.
‘I’m not lost, I just don’t know where I am, there’s a big difference’. Really? Love your banter and videos. Seriously thinking about getting a Monkey and it may be your fault😂
@@yodagoat Hello Frank, I see you often on my channel and now I see we both share an interest in Mike's channel. His is one of the best! He certainly has an entertaining way.
I hope to come to Scotland with my monkey (from Denmark) in 2025 or 2026. How easy or hard will it be to find BB or a Pub with romms to stay in the summer month's?
Book all accomodation well in advance. Avoid staying anywhere in Edinburgh as bike theft is a big problem there. Give me a shout if you'd like any advice or help planning a route.

Thanks Mike hope you have a Happy Hogmanay !!
At 20:40 you pass a Pacer train 142020. I used to drive them and probably that one several times.
You can visit that one and get in it I think. It's here

They're great fun. I couldn't have one as my only bike, but for days out it's great!
Cracking trip 👌🏻
@@raymondlyle663 thanks mate. It was a good day out.
The baffle in the Yoshi…is that the spark arrestor, or something else Mike?
Aye, it's the spark arrestor. The one with the gauze cone. I can ping you some photos if you like Dean?
Oh look there’s a railway track !!!! Made me laugh.
It took me by surprise! 😂

Thanks!
I can only say one thing - fuck that 😮
@@thosoneill 😂
@yodagoat no disrespect however I'd be scared I fell off incurring a serious injury and dying by that railway embankment
@@thosoneill no offence taken mate! I was more worried about The Hills Have Eyes/Deliverance type scenarios. 😂
Yes it's not so loud now mate
It's definitely a bit quieter.

Do ya keep ur hand up until other bikers wave back? II'd fuckin ignore ya fer t' laugh 🤣
What?? I just wave to them. To be honest I don't pay attention fbthey wave back or no.
Took about 14minutes before first sweary word 😊.
Ha ha! I'm reformed.
