Tremendous video with great narrative and descriptions. What a place these islands are such a fantastic landscape, glad you,re thinking about a return visit. Cheers man
Brought back all the memories. I lived on unst, at raf saxa vord from 87 to 88. The big white building that was on your right as you mentioned about the launch site, used to be the guard room and opposite was the station headquarters, when you went round the back they were our barrack rooms. After you left the distillery and went up the long road you came accross the fenced off area with a long building, that was the fire department. Just some useless information for you lol. Im hoping to get up there next summer. Loved watching it
Thanks for the great information there Steve! It's a great way to log what happened and I'm sure you'll have some interesting stories from your time there! Post any memorable ones up if you can be bothered! All the best, Mike
Another grand film Mike. You have the gift of making things interesting. Shetland looks smashing. Just had a look at a couple of your friend Ferg's films and noticed you starring in one of them. They were interesting, too. Thanks again from the Highlands.
Ferg makes some great videos! Definitely worth giving him a subscribe. Shetland is great, a really interesting place for sure. Maybe you should book some nice digs and get the BSA up there Hugh!
@@yodagoat one thing i have noticed is on the early monkey bikes the seat is longer and the is pillion foot rests, were modern monkey bikes you car,nt give backys?
@@TINGVELL on the old ones two bairns might be able to fit on but it would be tight. You can't take a pillion on the new Monkey. There's no room or pillion pegs, despite them being bigger.
Love these Monkey videos. Just subscribed. Isn't the Scottish scenery beautiful.
Aye, we're pretty lucky!
Another stoater Mike cheers! You’re showing me all these places I’ve never been would would life to go.

You too Barbara. Thanks for showing us around!
Good videos, looks amazing, as you say so remote.
It feels so remote but it's very easy to get there. Definitely a good place if you're trying to get away from things for a wee while.
bellissimi posti purtroppo già mi faceva male la spalla
Looks like a great place. Good times !
It's a great place if you get weather like we did! I don't know if that's the usual or not!

@@yodagoat I had subscribed, they were so good. May hit Shetland yet. I'll try Orkney first.
@@hughferrier5837 you'll love it. There's so much to see on Orkney!
Looks bloody brilliant over there Mike, sooner do the islands than the nc500
It's much different. Almost like a completely separate country but absolutely stunning if you get the right weather like we did.
Great video, come on the Monkeys :) VIVA MR825
Ha ha! Thanks mate.
ha ha bet you it costs less money on the fuel mpg than the bigger bikes
Ha ha! Aye, the Monkey is SERIOUSLY cheap to run. I get between 120 and 150 mpg!
@@yodagoat are these more modern monkey bikes better than the early st 70cc models?
@TINGVELL I think so, yes. The new Monkey is way better on fuel and faster than my C90.
