The problem is lots of engines are sold as a Lifan engine but are not. If you get a genuine Lifan you wont have a problem. These types of engines are churned out in china by so many factories its beyond a joke. The moral of the storey is buy from a supplier who knows which factory the engine came from. Just because its got Lifan on the cases don't mean its one. Food for thought guys

Brought back all the memories. I lived on unst, at raf saxa vord from 87 to 88. The big white building that was on your right as you mentioned about the launch site, used to be the guard room and opposite was the station headquarters, when you went round the back they were our barrack rooms. After you left the distillery and went up the long road you came accross the fenced off area with a long building, that was the fire department. Just some useless information for you lol. Im hoping to get up there next summer. Loved watching it

Lovely video - brought back some memories I can tell you... I did what has now become known as the NC500 in 1980 on a C70 (C70 was magneto in those days, more reliable than a C90 I decided). I used a pair of cycle paniers strapped on the passenger seat and weighted down with my tent. The worst bit was all the miles up the A1 from Kippax at a blistering 45mph flat out.

I remember that fuselage of the aircraft from the main road - tell you what the surface on the main roads are sore on the tyres - the rally site when I was there was in Vidlin - are they still giving you a wee enamel badge as a souvenir - think I paid something like fifty squid which includes the camping and drink vouchers - can only be described as a total piss up
