My sister actually won an original iPad Mini from the local library because she was legit the only one who entered the reading contest and read enough books to qualify for the drawing.

I’ve owned 5 different iPads myself since iPad was introduced. It’s amazing to see how fast the technology advances in such a small device.
yeh, I had 2, the iPad 3 and 9th generation, I miss that moments when the touch ID doesn't exist, I know that the touch ID gives you a los of security, but, I miss that moments, because, that type of devises today are sell by thousend of dollars, when in the past were sold by 500, or some similar to that value like that (I am talking about iPhone 1, ebay sell that by 20000 dollars, I know is very expansive)
There seems to be a massive huge leap from the iPad mini 1st gen to the iPad mini 2nd gen for some reason.

Yes. I’ve owned the iPad 2 32gb, Mini 2 64gb, Air 2 64gb, Air 3 128gb and Pro 11” 256gb and it’s crazy to see how far they have come.
The 2018 iPad Pro and even the 2017 iPad Pro were such breathtaking advances for the iPad , like I was blown away by the performance and versatility

There’s a lot of errors here. The iPad 2 had 512MB of RAM. The iPad 3 had 1GB of RAM and a 5MP rear camera. The iPad 4 had a 5MP rear camera and a 1.2MP front camera. The Air 2 also had 2GB of RAM.
Did anyone forget that 9th Gen iPad uses Apple Pencil Gen 1??? (4:30)
@@HarrisonLuiEKYiss i saw that. plus the iPad Pro 11 inch has its own numbers, independent of the 12.9 inch since the 2018 one was the first 11 inch iPad Pro and was therefore 1st Generation iPad Pro 11 inch.
You forgot that iPad 9 only supports the first gen pencil and iPad Pro 6 has apple pencil hover. Everything else is awesome!

I have an iPad 4th gen and the memories I have of playing Minecraft with my siblings are priceless. It still works, and I have all my worlds on it. I love to visit my old worlds just to relive some of my favorite moments
I Aldo played Minecraft on an iPad 4, but I deleted my “og” worlds because they were too big and got more and more corrupted over time

I had an IPad 3 until 2018 when I switched to an IPad 6.
I'm still rocking mine too! Its not my daily driver, but if I want to kick back and play a simple game its a no-brainer
so do i! won it in a raffle a week after release, still a good piece of technology. shame i can barely download anything anymore

That was definitely when iPads leapt from good to great. It’s a landmark release for the lineup.
Would love to see a graph of the current models in the line-up for each year, as the naming scheme is really not consistent/recurring

For the naming of iPad pro 2018, the 11 inch is technically 1st generation and 12.9 inch 3rd generation because 11 inch debuted on the 2018 model while the 12.9 inch existed since 2015, this is also true for the 2020,2021 and 2022 models.
The 6 gen ipad was a great device and coped with only 32gb storage, so smooth and reliable for years. Upgraded to an air 5, which is obviously better in many ways, but those older devices still pack a punch.
Have owned several models throughout the years. Currently, enjoying my 2021 11" Pro and iPad Mini 6.
All the iPad's from 2013-2017 are super Nostalgic to me. I miss iOS 7-10

I love how the iPads went from 499 and below and then after 2018 when the pros came out everything just went ⬆️ 📈
In 2018 the regular ipad was only $329 USD. The regular ipad stayed the same price until the 10th gen.
So there was still cheap option until this year.
10th generation iPad pricing is beyond ridiculous. I thought they would start at around $369 or so.

The fact that we can have 2TB of storage in a tablet as powerful as an expensive computer really tells us something about the time we live in
Imagine what we’ll have in 10 years.
But the fact its as expensive as a computer
It seems to me that betting on professionals in iPads was not the best idea of apple. It is more of a device for consuming content and games, at best for drawing, but not a replacement for a computer in any way

The iPad has always been my favourite Apple product category. Its the Apple device I grew up with, especially when I was too young to own a smartphone

I remember the original iPad! I played a lot of games on there. Now we have the 7th generation iPad, and I played a lot of games on there too, whether I played them before or not. I don't really use it anymore, since my Chromebook can do anything I want it to do.
I have the iPad Air 5 and it is magical. Best tablet I ever owned!
I’m watching this from my mini 2. The only thing I may change is finally swap the old battery. The poor thing lags a bit and recently started to have issues with TH-cam (too slow to load previews), but I still love it

You made a mistake the iPad 9th generation isn’t compatible with the Apple Pencil 2nd Generation it’s compatible with the Apple Pencil 1st Generation. Keep up the great work!
Got the RAM sizes wrong on many of the early iPads up to the mini 4

I got the iPad pro 12,9 2018 3rd gen, and yeha it only hast 4GB of RAM but it runs still to this day buttery smooth and even got stage manager. I love it.

The iPad 3rd and 4th generation both had 5 megapixel cameras.
I got my ipad 2 when i was 4 now im 15 and its still running perfect with 8 to 14 hours battery.Hence my ipad is 11 years old with 512 mb ram a 16 gigs storage, but it still never runs out of storage and its still smooth but my new samsung tab smt295 has 32 gigs storage 2gb ram but its laggy and my ipad has a gyro sensor and my tab doesnt. Facinating how apple use to be inovative.
I just found this really old iPad 3rd gen that has the glass on the front destroyed but it still works! It is currently on IpadOS 9.3.5. But minecraft and stuff work on it fine, even though the games are not supported for this iPad! Would love too see how it would look when repaired!

Got my M2 11” Pro last week and absolutely loving it
My grandma owned the 3rd iPad given by her husband but died in 2017. The 3rd iPad in 2024 is in good condition, but obviously doesn’t turn on because she forgot to charge it so the battery is very aged
She used to let me play the 1st version of need for speed on it… it was fun but it’s dead. Can’t repair it because Apple or any other Repair stores don’t have the components for it😢 (I still have it)
I have iPad 5th generation with 128 GB, and it has been with me for 3-5 years

it is sick that people are criticizing the new ipad pro M2 for being too powerful. This is really something that other companies only can dream about

It’s not really that they are “too powerful” as much as it is that iPad OS doesn’t support anything that could come remotely close to taking advantage of all that power.
I love my M1 Pro but even that chews through any possible task capable and will continue to for years to come.
