  • The Robo Twist is an electric, automated jar opener. It takes some time to do its job, but it does get the job done. If you have arthritis, an injury, or some other issue that makes it difficult for you to open a jar, the Robo Twist can help.
You can get a Robo Twist here: amzn.to/2FmtKjA
You can pick up the other, manual jar opener I showed in the video here: amzn.to/2ne5sB0

I bought this Robo twist as I have arthritis and cannot open a convention jar--I have not found a single jar shape of any particular size, nor a shape that it will not open! It is a fabulous device. The stupid device you demo requires you to have a hand to use! If you have a documented ADA disability and are unable to use your hand the ROBO Jar is a GODSEND!

Laws of leverage I would say, bigger the lid, the easier is is to open, like a vinyl spins faster at the edge and slower in the centre, if that makes sense.

Agreed. It seems to do well with most jars, but the small diameter one was a little too much for it.

When we reviewed it I was really surprised it worked! It’s does take awhile but I agree with you, it would be great for someone who has issues that makes opening jars difficult. I wanted to tell you I think you have a great voice. Do you work in radio or do voice over work?

Thanks for the compliment. I do not work in radio. I actually did try to do some voice over work, primarily for internet marketers selling various things online, but it was hard getting enough clients to make a full-time income from it. Voice over artists are a dime a dozen these days on places like fiverr. If anyone wants to hire me though, shoot me a message, my rates are reasonable. :-)

It didn’t work on the olives because it couldn’t grip the rounded shape of the jar in that area. It’s worked on thinner jars

The 2nd bottle failed because of condensatiion on the glass.

It was the small diameter of the lid that was the big problem. Even after drying the lid off the device would slip.

Bought RoboTwist for my wife (bad hand). Worked well until it fell off a mayo jar. Landed on the counter. NOT THE FLOOR. So it took an 8 inch fall. Now, anytime one set of arms opens, the other closes and vise versa. So... it's useless now.

Try a Pepsi or Gatorade bottom cap... Those will really rip your hands up

This was a skewed test that proved nothing. It’s the vacuum that makes it difficult to open. The 3 jars it opened had been opened previously so they’re no longer under vacuum. So, basically your test showed that it can open previously opened jars.
