Zooridge - Ep3 - Canyon and Amber Cave

We had the privilege of spending two days in the spectacular Zooridge area in the Koue Bokkeveld. It surpassed all our expectations!
Mia joined us on this trip and we show you what we found in three Episodes:
EPISODE 1: Aankoms Farm Shop, Water Pans and the unique Lovers Lane campsite. We’ve never experienced such a campsite before!
EPISODE 2: More Rock Arches and ancient Rock Art, some 8000 years old!
EPISODE 3: Zooridge Canyon and the exquisite Amber Cave. We thought we have seen it all, until we got to the Amber Cave! 😀

Wow, that canyon and those caves were really something! Although I started to feel a tad bit claustrophobic on your behalf in some of those tight spaces 😅

It's also nice to see the fun dynamic of your family and that you're always smiling or laughing- even by means of "booping" Werner's nose 😂
You're truly making life an adventure, and I'm sure I speak for many (DesH chime in here 😉) that we're all a little envious 😊

I wonder how many people knows about this canyon, and it is not a small one, it is HUGE! You might want to have a look at my other channel as well (search for @wernersview), as one of the recent videos is also about the Zooridge canyon where I include a little bit more drone footage... 🙂

Love the beautiful rocks. The canyon reminds me of the battle of ages between water and stone.. water and wind make these rocks spectacular! Art takes time naturally

I’m late to the party - but Wow! This was…Annelie, English is my Mother tongue and I don’t have the words to describe it, either! I have already overused awe inspiring and majestic. I think one is left feeling stumped and wordless, because there simply aren’t any that can do it justice.
I can imagine that for you, as a creative soul, it must be even more overwhelming - but at the same time, so inspiring! I bet you couldn’t wait to get home to start working your clay.
Werner, had it not been for your quiet determination and bravery to tackle what to the rest of us looked like a far too challenging dip in that sandy road, none of us would have seen or experienced that magnificent canyon or those cathedral like amber caves.
Thank you for making this episode come alive - starting from that early morning sunrise and the sleepy waking sounds of your precious ladies. Coffee and rusks! What a lovely treat!
You are an adventurous family, able to clamber over and under rocks and in nooks and crannies that would be too much of a challenge for me. I have been able to live this experience vicariously through your beautiful visuals and superb storytelling/editing skills. The music was perfect, too!

Just a heads-up, there will unfortunately not be a video this coming Sunday, work matters and a few other things (one being our son's matric farewell recently), has prevented us from doing any trip since Zooridge... I thus do not even have any footage to work on at the moment! However, we are planning to start a brand new series of videos from the following Sunday, with our next trip planned for this upcoming weekend. Please cross fingers that everything works out as planned 🤞😅 We are looking forward to share it with you.
