*To be honest... This Video gives me an idea to just give my little bro my old samsung s4 because its still usable with custom roms on, thanks for making this video lmao*
Shattered Pixel Dungeon is one of my fav games ever, big tip is people can often mistake it for an action game, it's not at all, it's turn a based strategy game. If you don't take a turn time is frozen in place. I super recommend reading every tip they give ya, you can access old tips from the menu. The game has been getting updates for 8+ years and it shows, and that's only counting when the dev (Shattered) started putting his own spin on where the original Pixel Dungeon left off. It's a rogue-like and the biggest charm of the game is crazy replayability, challenge, and tons of freedom and possibilities each run. And once you get a gasp on it, start unlocking characters, alchemy, and start reaching deeper floors the game *really* starts opening up. If all else fails check out some guides, it's not beginner friendly but that's part of the charm I swear haha, but people who don't pay close attention to the given tips or strategize at all will get decimated haha, cheers.
Not a year ago I flashed Android 13 on a S2 just to check if it can run modern apps like youtube or facebook. It did it well but unfortunately the galaxy s2 does not support any multitasking bc of the small ram. But with android 13 it is still usable nowdays, amazing piece of tech.
Phones where so bad back then in comparison with todays phones but they where still great at the time. But we will probably say the same in the 2030s from 20s phones
This was my first phone. I miss it so much. I kept it for like 8 years until my dumbass friend spilled his chew spit bootle into the charger port. I had a phone repair place clean out the charger, tried to charge it and it started smoking and went into bootloop. I miss it so much
just started the video, but i hope there will be that zombie game called Road to die or something, where you upgrade your car until you run out of fuel
dumb ways to die reminds me of warioware but designed for a smartphone thinking about it, that would be a perfect warioware game because you at most need one button and it always used gimmicks like the wiimote, tilt, and vibrations depending on what the hardware it's on. and for phones you could easily port the buttons to pop up when needed, and use the touch screen. aaaa
I think the issue with paper toss was the CPU throttling due to heat because you literally played like 20 games before hand, I'm pretty sure the S2 could easily handle paper toss. If you placed the game on internal storage and played while the CPU was cool it would have no issues.
you forgot to playing legendary game that i usually play at that time (2013) on my first android phone here it is resident evil 4 pes 2012 fruit shoot NFS shift assasins creed 😢
Good old days when mobiles had some of the best games, i remember playing robbery bob. That game was too good, it had such high quality to it i don't think you'll find that even in paid games
Android 14 removed the ability to run legacy software even if it was for the very previous version of android, terrible change for android, also If you review the s3 you will unravel the biggest android rabbit hole, since it's the best selling and longest community supported android phone to my knowledge and had enough power to run minecraft at 30 fps with the nether update of bedrock edition, its a impressive phone today and when it came out it had many features ios copied recently
Oh yeah, that Play Store restriction is incredibly silly. Sideloading from other sources works perfectly fine, usually. Actually super interesting - your comment made me re-test one of my first apps ever, Unicorn Dash, which crashed on 13 - but my A72 just got updated to Android 14 and now runs it flawlessly again, somehow. (targeting Eclair 2.1/SDK 7 - looking at the Play Store rn, released on the 27 Mar 2012, had 5M+ downloads. also the SHA1 certificate is valid to 28/7/3011 lol) Epic Games' "Epic Citadel" Tech Demo (min 2.3, targeting 4.0.3) also still works, and it's such a nostalgic benchmark to me. Also all of Kewlers' Demoscene releases (NVite, rrhoid, Payback 14, spngfrm^pnts) got a min supported version of SDK 1 - Android 1. That's wild. They still run, and I'd love to see them on a TMobile G1 or something) Fruit Ninja Skittles (Gingerbread 2.3.3) still crashes/force closes, which is a tragedy...
Freakin love this channel, it's so refreshing to see a review using smartphone from the past.

Yup, you could even get this thing to Android 14 (I have one on Android 13, I'll soon update it to 14)

I just indirectly remembered al other kinds of games i used to play like Smashy road and Faily brakes
I loved Raging Thunder 1 & 2 back then, I genuinely think it's better than most racing games on the play store we have today.
The games on it run a lot better than the games on my ZTE Majesty Z796C

Actually you can emulate very good consoles like NES, PS1, Atari, etc.
