As an HSV fan im very glad that you visited our city and had such a lovely trip. I hope to visit Scotland too sometime in the future for Rangers and Whiskey :) Litte note for you at the end: After being relegated we somehow managed to finish 4th three times in a row. Last season we were 3rd but unfortunately lost in the playoffs against Hertha Berlin. Ironically their manager was Felix Magath, one of the biggest HSV legends of all time.
Yeah, last year was quite a rollercoaster. Close to the end of the season we were quite a bit behind the first 3 places, but somehow managed to claim 3rd place with a couple of wins at the very end of the season. So it was relegation against Hertha BSC Berlin and we even managed to win the first game away at Berlin with 1:0. ...only to fu.. up the home game with 0:2. So here we go again, another year of 2.Bundesliga. The good thing is, that this time we are playing a rock solid season and are currently 4 points ahead of P3. So please keep your fingers crossed for our beloved HSV. It has to work out this time!!! Cheers from Hamburg 👋

Thank you for your visit and your beautiful videos about HSV! If you want to know what makes HSV tick, you don't have to look for big names like Kevin Keegan or Uwe Seeler, but for an HSVer named Hermann Rieger. For him, HSV was everything and without Hermann, HSV would be nothing. He made the difference and dealing with him makes HSV special. I am very proud to be an HSV fan and hope that we will soon be back in the 1st Bundesliga. HSV deserves it and the Bundesliga deserves Hamburg!
Former Danish National player Lars Bastrup played as an attacker with Horst Hrubesch in HSV in 1982-1983. Won two German Championships and lost the UEFA Cup Final to IFK Gothenburg in 1982 before winning the European Cup over Juventus in 1983. Bastrup played 59 games in his two seasons. Scoring 13 goals in 34 games in 1982 and 5 in 25 games in 1983. Earlier played for Kickers Offenbach (49 games/ 13 goals). Got 30 Caps for Denmark from 1975-1983 and scored 10 goals. Another Danish national player on the HSV team was Ole Bjoernmose. He played 137 games and scored 21 goals for Werder Bremen from 1966-1971 and then 186 games and 31 goals for HSV from 1971-1977. 16 games for Denmark and 2 goals 1971-1977. He played in the years where the Danish National Team didn't allow professional players. Sadly died age 62 in 2006. He won the European Cup Winners Cup in 1976-1977 and the DFB Cup in 1975-1976. His 323 games was the biggest amount of games for any international player in the Bundesliga for almost 30 years before Sergej Barbarez beat his record in 2006. In total 13 Danes has played for HSV during the years

I think my comments on your other video was deleted because of the links I put in! I live in Hamburg and just wanted to mention two things that HSV & St Pauli have that I don't think any UK team has. HSV has a fan cemetery in the Volkspark (the park behind the stadium that gives it its name) - so fans can be buried within sight and sound of the home matches! St. Pauli has a fully functioning child's nursery in the football ground itself - not (necessarily) for players' weans, but just a normal Monday to Friday preschool that just happens to have an amazing view of the grounds and the weans grow up knowing the stadium like the back of their hands. I won't put the links in to them this time and see if it appears this time :)
