As a 43 year old fan who watched my first game in 1986 I find this kind of summary amusing. It's something the big clubs are obsessive about (Man United, Liverpool etc) but has never been something on mine and I assume any other Watford fans radar. In reality, we have been punching well above our weight for many years, the fact we have spent 6 of the last 7 years in the top flight is a success in itself. Just look at the big clubs: Sheffield Wednesday etc who have been scraping around in league 1 for years. We have had many successes over the years, promotions as runners up and through the play offs, an FA Cup Final appearance in 2018,.along with some great victories in the league against the top sides. As fans we take huge pride in those successes and there are many teams who would love to be in our position. COYH.
You weren’t disrespectful to us at all! As a Watford fan, we might not have won a major trophy, but it’s the “DEENEY” moments that yellows value and although we get a bad rep from the media, we really are an inclusive club, always first in representing LGBT community AND black players throughout our history
As a fan of Sparta Prague, I heard about Sparta's matches with Watford in the third round of the UEFA Cup in 1983. At that time, Elton John was the owner of Watford. Sparta won 2-3 at Vicarage Road and still Elton John behaved like an absolute gentleman. The players who played for Sparta at that time still remember him coming to the booth, shaking everyone's hand and giving them his record. Watford then lost 4:0 in Prague. But each of the players remembers how gentlemanly Elton behaved even in a situation where his team lost.
I’m not sure if anyones mentioned it. In the season 82-83 Watford actually beat Liverpool the newly crowned champions 2-1 on the final day of the season to finish 2nd.
St Johnstone almost went out of business in 1986 and are only three years younger than Watford. It took us until 2014 to lift our first major trophy then seven years further on we won our second and third in the same season. Keep pushing at that glass ceiling brothers.

It’s Watford, of course they haven’t won any trophies..... 🎩🎩🧡🧡
Since WWII different winners of FL Div 1 then PL from 1992/3 are 18, FA Cup 28, League Cup 24 as all dominated by MU MC Liverpool Arsenal Spurs and Chelsea and many buy their trophies by splashing billions on players.
When will Chelsea Spurs Arsenal and Man U next win one of these trophies? Squeezed out by others splashing more cash than them.
FL / PL winners since WWII playing in 3rd or 4th since winning include include Wolves, Blackburn, Portsmouth, Derby, Villa, Leeds, Ipswich, Burnley, Forest and Man City.
If the fixation is on why Watford have not won a major trophy there are others.
Winning a major trophy does not necessarily make you a big club Clapham Rovers for instance
Definitely arent a big club
No one said that
That's kind of you
Id say the biggest team to ever win a major trophy will be Tottenham. They have never won a trophy.
Bristol City much bigger
That's funny. Bristol City are massive. In parts of Bristol 🤣
The Ayr United of England 🤣
Luton fans laughing at this title
Then remember that they are the smallest club in the championship 😂
@@freddieb5946 Smaller than Rotherham? Only Kenilworth Road is statistically smallest something that will change when they move to Power Court finally the shackles will be off after over half a century of being held back by a tiny dreadful stadium
@@freddieb5946 but still have a better history than most of the league, including Watford.

Is the play offs not considered a major trophy? Watford has won twice 🏆 . Fa cup runners up twice .
