    THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
    What is the gospel?
The word gospel literally means “good news” and occurs 93 times in the Bible, exclusively in the New Testament. In Greek, it is the word euaggelion, from which we get our English words evangelist, evangel, and evangelical. The gospel is, broadly speaking, the whole of Scripture; more narrowly, the gospel is the good news concerning Christ and the way of salvation.
The key to understanding the gospel is to know why it’s good news. To do that, we must start with the bad news. The Old Testament Law was given to Israel during the time of Moses (Deuteronomy 5:1). The Law can be thought of as a measuring stick, and sin is anything that falls short of “perfect” according to that standard. The righteous requirement of the Law is so stringent that no human being could possibly follow it perfectly, in letter or in spirit. Despite our “goodness” or “badness” relative to each other, we are all in the same spiritual boat-we have sinned, and the punishment for sin is death, i.e. separation from God, the source of life (Romans 3:23). In order for us to go to heaven, God’s dwelling place and the realm of life and light, sin must be somehow removed or paid for. The Law established the fact that cleansing from sin can only happen through the bloody sacrifice of an innocent life (Hebrews 9:22).
The gospel involves Jesus’ death on the cross as the sin offering to fulfill the Law’s righteous requirement (Romans 8:3-4; Hebrews 10:5-10). Under the Law, animal sacrifices were offered year after year as a reminder of sin and a symbol of the coming sacrifice of Christ (Hebrews 10:3-4). When Christ offered Himself at Calvary, that symbol became a reality for all who would believe (Hebrews 10:11-18). The work of atonement is finished now, and that’s good news.
The gospel also involves Jesus’ resurrection on the third day. “He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification” (Romans 4:25). The fact that Jesus conquered sin and death (sin’s penalty) is good news, indeed. The fact that He offers to share that victory with us is the greatest news of all (John 14:19).
The elements of the gospel are clearly stated in 1 Corinthians 15:3-6, a key passage concerning the good news of God: “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living.” Notice, first, that Paul “received” the gospel and then “passed it on”; this is a divine message, not a man-made invention. Second, the gospel is “of first importance.” Everywhere the apostles went, they preached the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ. Third, the message of the gospel is accompanied by proofs: Christ died for our sins (proved by His burial), and He rose again the third day (proved by the eyewitnesses). Fourth, all this was done “according to the Scriptures”; the theme of the whole Bible is the salvation of mankind through Christ. The Bible is the gospel.
“I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile” (Romans 1:16). The gospel is a bold message, and we are not ashamed of proclaiming it. It is a powerful message, because it is God’s good news. It is a saving message, the only thing that can truly reform the human heart. It is a universal message, for Jews and Gentiles both. And the gospel is received by faith; salvation is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8-9).
The gospel is the good news that God loves the world enough to give His only Son to die for our sin (John 3:16). The gospel is good news because our salvation and eternal life and home in heaven are guaranteed through Christ (John 14:1-4). “He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you” (1 Peter 1:3-4).
The gospel is good news when we understand that we do not (and cannot) earn our salvation; the work of redemption and justification is complete, having been finished on the cross (John 19:30). Jesus is the propitiation for our sins (1 John 2:2). The gospel is the good news that we, who were once enemies of God, have been reconciled by the blood of Christ and adopted into the family of God (Romans 5:10; John 1:12). “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” (1 John 3:1). The gospel is the good news that “there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1).
To reject the gospel is to embrace the bad news. Condemnation before God is the result of a lack of faith in the Son of God, God’s only provision for salvation. “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son” (John 3:17-18). God has given a doomed world good news: the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
    The Gospel, only bible verses.

Faith alone well maybe I guess depends on your definition of faith. Biblically speaking faith alone is never seen as good or saving but today usually people mean faith that is working through Love. Or that faith will lead you to the works God has set before you. So faith that has Love, which both are gifts of God, freely given, does save. Faith alone, if it is to only mean a mental accent, doesn't save. As James highlights, and Paul himself says, if he has all faith but not Love it doesn't help. So yes and no depends on how you define faith

Faith and Works is clear according to scripture.
John 14:12 "Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these, because I am going to the Father."
Matthew 7:21 "Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven."

    Romans 4
1 What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?
2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

James 2:14-26 “What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 ¶ Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
25 ¶ Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
26 ¶ For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”

No but if you really have faith the Holy spirit will always convict you and conviction means you can get better not condemnation that you are bad can't do anything can't qualify for salvation, nobody can qualify for it, Jesus qualified for it you just put your faith on God that he died for me and through his blood I have been made clean, though I am still in this body, when Christ comes he will give me new glorified body. So your should and spirit has been made new and after your body also, when you believe on Jesus you are dead to sin, so if you are dead to sin how can you live in it ?? Your are now slave of Jesus.

The bible says different to what this man claims. If you read James 2:14-26 you can understandstand better what having faith actually means.
    James 2:14-26
14What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
18But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. 19You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that-and shudder.
20You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless d ? 21Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. 23And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” e and he was called God’s friend. 24You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.
25In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? 26As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

Faith without Good Deeds Is Dead
14 What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone? 15 Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, 16 and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”-but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do?
17 So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.
18 Now someone may argue, “Some people have faith; others have good deeds.” But I say, “How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds.”
19 You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God.[a] Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. 20 How foolish! Can’t you see that faith without good deeds is useless?
21 Don’t you remember that our ancestor Abraham was shown to be right with God by his actions when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see, his faith and his actions worked together. His actions made his faith complete. 23 And so it happened just as the Scriptures say: “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.”[b] He was even called the friend of God.[c] 24 So you see, we are shown to be right with God by what we do, not by faith alone.
25 Rahab the prostitute is another example. She was shown to be right with God by her actions when she hid those messengers and sent them safely away by a different road. 26 Just as the body is dead without breath,[d] so also faith is dead without good works.

See brother, James was written before the council meeting of acts 15, so Paul corrects the statment of James in his other epsitles written after that meeting. So if you do not have faith how can you work, means I can work and see if I succeed or my faith is in him and now if I work, I do not have to see if anything is working I know it's already worked out on the cross. If you are still sinning without any conviction, then he is not really having faith on Jesus.

Works and Faith (1), Praying for the Dead (2), Purgatory (3), Good Non-believers (4), and why Catholicism is *truly* all-inclusive (5):
Works and Faith (1): James 2:26 "For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so faith apart from works is dead." Romans 3:22 "the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe." Catholic theology rejects neither verse and thus holds them in balance.
Praying for the Dead (2): "Maccabees 2:39-45 On the next day, as by that time it had become necessary, Judas and his men went to take up the bodies of the fallen... 42 and they turned to prayer, beseeching that the sin which had been committed might be wholly blotted out... 43 ... In doing this he acted very well and honorably, taking account of the resurrection. 44 For if he were not expecting that those who had fallen would rise again, it would have been superfluous and foolish to pray for the dead. 45 But if he was looking to the splendid reward that is laid up for those who fall asleep in godliness, it was a holy and pious thought. Therefore he made atonement for the dead, that they might be delivered from their sin."
Purgatory (3): Catholic doctrine simplified based on Maccabees 2:39-45: Those in Heaven don't need our prayers. Those in Hell are eternally separated from God and [probably] wouldn't benefit from the prayers of the living. The only logical conclusion 'between' these extremes: there is a place where prayers for the dead do benefit the dead, ie Purgatory.
Good Non-believers (4): Purgatory is not an eternal place and *is not totally separated from Jesus, as hell is*. Therefore, *Good* Non-believers (and a great many/most Believers in Christ, myself included) will pass through this after-death, pre-heaven purification process. In the process of that purification, Non-Believers will meet Jesus *and instantly believe in Him*, and therefore pass into Heaven in fulfilment of "through Christ alone." This aligns with countless NDE testimonies and is, I find, quite a beautiful concept of Christ's endless mercy.
Catholicism is All-inclusive (5): If it is "Faith Alone" then all Good Non-believers are damned by birth despite a supposedly (and actually) all-loving, merciful Jesus. The cumulative doctrine logic of (1-4) means the Roman Catholic Church is all-inclusive: because, through this logic, the idea that Good Non-believers go to hell is demolished. Praise be to Lord Jesus Christ, Alleluia, Alleluia!!

We must believe in Jesus and obey His words. When we obey Him, we are walking by the Spirit and we are bearing fruit. Jesus said that every branch in Him that doesn’t bear fruit His Father will remove (John 15:1-2). So let us believe and obey. God bless ✝️🙏

Repentance is to turn from the flesh (from sin) and to walk by the Spirit (to bear the fruit of the Spirit). And what does it mean to walk after the spirit? It does not mean to repent from sin and try hard to stop sinning. Because then you are back under the law and the uneviteable result of just condemnation because you fail to fulfil the law.
No, walking after the spirit is to live in God's grace. Walking after the spirit is to live in the understanding that you are justified by faith and have dressed in the righteousness of Christ.

@@patricj951 To walk after the Spirit is to bear the fruit of the Spirit continually (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, meekness, faithfulness and self-control). You cannot walk by the Spirit whilst you’re walking by the flesh; it’s one or the other. And Paul tells us that we are free from condemnation if we’re walking by the Spirit and not by the flesh. He told us that the righteous requirement of the Law (Jesus’ fulfilment of the Law) is fulfilled in us if we’re walking by the Spirit and not by the flesh (Rom 8:4).
If we’re not bearing fruit, we’re not walking by the Spirit. And if we’re not walking by the Spirit we’re not abiding in the righteousness of Christ, and we fall back under condemnation (until we repent). Don’t be deceived, Faith without works (fruit) is dead. Don’t confuse the fruit of the Spirit with the works of the Law.

The only way to be saved is to place in your faith in Christ's death and resurrection. God sent His beloved Son to die for you in your place for your sins. If you place your faith in Him you will be saved, forgiven, and given the perfect righteousness of Christ credited to your account. The ten commandments will always be a reminder that nobody who becomes lost in the things it revives will go from lost to found by them since we all broke them when we were lost in those things that nailed Him to the cross. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God- not because of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. - Ephesians 2:8-10
Salvation is by grace of God, but it isn’t faith alone. Faith alone doctrine is false.
What does it profit, my brethren, if a man says he has faith but has not works? Can his faith save him?* If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and in lack of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what does it profit? So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead. But some one will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I by my works will show you my faith. You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe-and shudder. Do you want to be shown, you foolish fellow, that faith apart from works is barren? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he offered his son Isaac upon the altar? You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by works, and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness”; and he was called the friend of God. You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone. And in the same way was not also Rahab the harlot justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so faith apart from works is dead. - James 2:14-26
