  • So the Kenny Rogers song sounds like a Bread song and the Bread song sounds a little like Nadia's Theme, however, today I teach both Kenny and Bread and show a few chords I don't see others playing when they play this song.

Dave, think you’re great to follow. Great musician. I’m not good enough to grasp all yet, but hopefully I will keep following and improve.

I have always noticed the similarities in the two songs, but nobody I ever mentioned it to remembered both songs enough to get it, so thank you! 😊

What a gem you are Dave!
I thoroughly enjoyed the breakdown of both songs (cord by cord) and though I do not play any musical instruments I can sing and have done so since I was very young so music is a big part of my daily life.. Looking at the cord's breakdown on your video as you played them was very enjoyable also.
Back in the mid 70's when these songs were played on the radio I only spoke Spanish (having been born in Argentina) but that did not stopped me from enjoying the music of the time. Some years later my family migrated to Australia and I found myself in a world I had no language for. Yet music helped me understand and learn english and I was both rewarded and shocked. Rewarded by understanding the lyrics of my favourite songs and sometimes horrified by them as well because I totally disagreed with the message they contained! Regardless, just like back in my youth understanding music at a deeper level is something that your video has given me and so I just wanted to thank you for it!
    Cheers from Brisbane Australia.

Sweet! I was JUST making a Kenny Rogers greatest hits mix tape for my nephew earlier this week and that song's on it! Doing my best to get the kids away from noise/beats and into songs that have real instruments and meaningful lyrics. Thanks, Dave!
